I have a zeylanica, starfish, and black star birds nest varieties. The dwarf starfish keeps putting out pups and the zeylanica has given me 2. How exciting it is to watch them emerge. Keep on giving us these shorter videos! Great job!

I am looking for bird nest sansevieria s because they looked smaller. Interesting to see how big they can get. As you mentioned how tall they can get I was surprised. Just divided my moonshine because one rhizom pushed the plant upwards🙄. Now I have 2 singles and my motherplant group just after one year in my care

Love the videos on Snake plants. Thank you. I have an issue with my snake plants which I never saw being discussed anywhere: the roots are fine but the crown with the new leaves start melting and then rot. There are corresponding areas of melting and rot in adjacent leaves and the plant dies. The roots are initially healthy. Do the leaves get affected if soil or gravel gets impacted between the leaves? It's not easy removing them at times; I use brushes for soil and tweezer for larger particles. I keep the snakes plants in the balcony which gets direct early morning sunlight for 3-4 hours. Could accidental water drops on the crown's new leaves or between the leaves (with soil/gravel in between them) cause them to wilt?

Hi! What climate are you in? I wonder if the direct sun is burning the plant if somewhere hot. The soil shouldn’t affect the leaves much. If not being sunburnt I would suspect a root issue or plant pathogen.

The pups don't have a lot of leaves, how to make them grow bushier

They will continue to grow in over time and tend to be relatively slow growing plants.

question what would be the best size pot for snake plant to grow pups, can the plant produce babies in 10cm wide pots or it needs to be larger? Thanks :)
@plntfriends Жыл бұрын
Hi Stephane, I’ve found that they will produce pups no matter the pot size. I have a couple in 4” pots with pups showing now. A larger pot might encourage more but no need to pot up just for that reason

why repot in such large pot??????

Hey! Unsure which pot you are referring to? The pots used in the video are only about 6”. Do they seem quite large compared to the plants?
