Thanks so much for this! I'm going to try it. I have a great dane and 99% of the websites are geared towards tiny dogs or even if they have items for "big dogs" very rarely does big dog include great dane sizes

I think you could have placed the cord inside the hood before straight stitching the two sides together forming the channel, then you wouldn’t have to fish the line later

Thank you for the video. Seems very easy to follow and I can’t wait to try it. I stapled the end of cords and feed them through a hoodie string opening and it works well for me.

To add the cord to the hood, you can also use a bobby pin. I find it easier since it's longer than most pins.

This worked great for me! I added darts on the back because I needed to increase the girth more than I needed to increase the neckline

FYI if you make this hoodie and have to size up for your dog. make sure you size the hood up as well. He only explains to size up the body panel to the width and length of your pup and the chest panel length-wise, but if you don't adjust the hood then it will not go all the way around the hoodies neckline. So adjust your hood to match the circumference of the neckline!!!

This is the cutest dog hoodie I ever seen. I was looking for something a little less..advanced lol. I dont even know how to use a sewing machine. Um.. not even the handheld one I bought myself. And then I see this high end sewing machine..what the..!!😂 I have an 86 lb English Cream golden retriever. If anyone on here knows how to make these and can make me one, I will pay for the fabric, shipping, and the work.. or if anyone knows if they are sold anywhere, that would be great too!😊

This is so cute, can't wait to try it out for my golden. Definitely going to have to adjust the measurements a bit. I would love to see a tee shirt pattern for dogs, but its probably extremely similar to this. It's so hard to find shirts and stuff that fit my dog, Making my own is perfect!

I am in the process of making this now. I am curious how these sleeve, the way the are cut, will fit in comparison to other sleeves that are cut to match the body cuts. Interesting. But, my question is that the size of neck the collar references for the largest size is 17 inches, but the neck opening is 24 inches. That is a full 7 extra inches over the actual neck size, which seems excessive to me. This is the smallest dog I have and would love a pattern for larger dogs. Thank you for a well illustrated tutorial.

This is soo cute. Have a question, my dogs are newfies, they weigh 130 and 170. If I try and make it longer, will the rest be proportionate or will I need to adjust all of it?

My dogs’s girth is 33 inches. Would I increase it half that difference because it is on the fold? Also, could I make our raincoats for her with waterproof material that is not stretchy? I would not put the sleeves, bands on but just the body and the hood. Do you have a pattern for that instead? Please let me know. Thank you. Your video was excellent!

the pattern and instructions for this are not complete, unfortunately. When you widen the back piece there is no mentioned of widening the hood as well. While I found it odd, I kept with the instructions. My hood was exactly the same dimension too short for the body of the hoodie. I think I've made it work by stretching, but just a heads up.

video moves way to fast. I got super confused about tue back panel and ended up sewing the inside in the outside. plus large is more of a medium size . other than that great pattern
