I could live in this house just as it is . A good cleaning of everything in there and some paint ,. Do things bit by bit . I just dont undrstand why every one wants to modernise every thing ! Hey but thats just me . Woulnt do if we were all the same . 😊

I agree. As long as the plumbing is replaced and any leakage fixed, it does require very little, it's a beauty

Me too - I'm 84 now so way beyond the task, but I've done it several times thru my lifetime & this house is just waiting for my 30 year old self to take charge !!! Such a wonderful opportunity for an energetic person who knows the value in this lovely home ! So jealous !

i have experience in rebuilding that kind of houses in France. They are asking a regular price. Personally I would hesitate for reasons of location for potential over budget costs. What is a 100000 euros to redo a house in France? Don't buy that emotionally. In labour France is pretty costly. In materials it is all lightbuilt and very costly (no German quality) In distances you'll need transportation to haul on your stuff on a 30 to 40 k distance. That eats time and money. I am giving very valuable advice here. If I wanted a house in France with Leggett at this moment in the north I would do this one Maison à vendre à Saint-Germain (86310) - Vienne 80,000 euros. Think twice.

Be aware and do your homework before buying a house in France or some other European country where permits and code can be really annoying , especially about insulation et energy saving , old buildings like that are usually built out of stone and have any insulation at all .
