It seems like we cannot even go an hour without breaking news about an ongoing conflict or hearing a nation threaten war against another. All this leaves us to wonder if these are the “wars and rumors of wars” Jesus talks about in Matthew 24:6. In our August 2022 Prophecy Update, we look at these mounting global tensions and learn how we should live as we face the possibility of another world war and even the End Times.

The evil in the US and the evil in Australia is taking over so fast. The dystopian cognitive dissonance mindset has consumed so many people. They don’t even know what a woman is. They don’t care about living free. They would rather be a slave to big pharma and the media. Unless the Holy Spirit through us causes a revival the acceleration I fear will continue. However, honestly, I want Jesus to come quickly! Amen!

Without the Through the Bible weekly teachings, most of this prophecy stuff would make no sense even to most christians. Brett is correct, the weekly Through the Bible series is their bread and butter. Weekly prophecy updates that are pretty good are John haller youtube and Jan Markell understanding the times audio podcast.

Do you watch Pastor Andy Woods here on KZfaq? He's pastor of Sugarland Bible Church and I think it's near Houston, but I could be wrong. He does excellent verse by verse Bible teaching and gives weekly PPOV (Pastor's Point of View) prophecy reports every Friday. Check him out if you haven't already. I find him a huge blessing as well.

@@justinambrose3107 Athey Creek is in West Linn, a town in the SW suburbs of Portland Or. Beautiful area, but the political and anti-Christian attitudes there that have been growing and pushing left since the 1970's is prevalent. It is a top down power grab problem, that is from the Governership down, has been very hard to break. Christian leaders have been prevalent but it seems to go unnoticed in the culture. The Lord is waiting, likely working in the background. I would love to see my 'hometown' redeemed..

I have one thought for you - If 'no one knows the day or hour', in the Post Trib view, we all can know exactly the day, b/c of the days listed. I have another - In one place, speaking to His return, it says that "every eye shall see", but Hebrews 9:28 says "unto them that look for Him shall he appear..." One more (sorry) - Luke 21:36 - read the whole chapter, but pay close attention to verse 36. Ultimately, you are free to believe whatever you choose, and I do not condemn you, or think you are stupid for what you have chosen to believe. I wish you well, and His peace. Hang tough.

I agree Von Bear K9, there are scriptures that all sides of the rapture debate use. I believe that there is a rapture but the Bible really doesn't give a time line. Like Brett says, if the Bible is silent so should we be careful to declare something that is not clear. I've heard all the arguments for different times and there is no argument that is so definitive that anybody be so dogmatic on the issue. I would rather be prepared for the tribulation than to expect to skip it and be surprised and unprepared. And it's not something will affect your salvation. God bless.

@@RamonaQ I highly suggest the Maranatha Global Bible study on the book of revelations. But honestly I’m not here to debate people on the internet about my beliefs. The church is called to martyrdom during the tribulation. In other words we aren’t going to be spared. We will be called to lay down our life’s for unbelievers To save as many as possible(much like our Lord and savior). Pre trib rapture gives people a false sense of security, but I’m not going to divide over it.

Im not setting a date at all, I want that understood first. But what about the passage speaking of when you see the fig tree beginning to bud, the fig tree being Israel, and in one day she will become a nation again which happened in may 1947. Israel became a nation again in a day, just as prophecy said, and that ALL that generation will not pass till of my coming. How can you say 100 more years? Now what God means as a generation I dont know, but if its a generation as we know, then these folks are getting close to the end. That's how I see it, so we are close, when? I Don t know, but by this passage I know we are close. Praise God, come Lord Jesus.

Ive noticed you dont go out on a limb and Play it super safe, example we have been living in the last days for over 2000 years, and with what Jesus told us, we are living in the last of the last days, ALL that Jesus spoke of along with books like Daniel or Revelation, we CAN clearly see where we are now and the time IS at hand, if technology advances too much further we will have surpassed the days of what is necessary for the tribulation period

Spot on in your opening statements. I find listening to these prophecy updates incredibly depressing and anxiety provoking. I’m already suffering from a feeling of failure and hopelessness about the future… there is a scripture that states “ I’d have lost hope had I not seen Your goodness in the land of the living”… and what depresses me is the lack of appropriate/visible justice in the present world by God. Waiting for everyone to die, then burning millions in an eternal firey hell, is akin to setting a child on fire for stealing a cookie from the cookie jar. Even our justice system is rooted in the idea of making punishments suitable to the crimes. People don’t go to church often bc they’ve been hurt by the ridiculousness that can go on there, they don’t deserve endless torture. At this point I’ve had plenty of friends/family who thought Christianity sucked, and have now passed… a message that they’re all baking in an eternal flame makes me angry, confused, rebellious, depressed, nauseous, and out of the church. Problem is, I believe Jesus was and is God, but all the above is keeping me from church and in a state of angry confusion/depression. I KNOW many can relate.

Yes, we can relate. You're looking at life and eternity from a finite perspective. You'll drive yourself mad trying to reconcile it all without the Spirit. Our God is A Holy God! Period! He created all things and is pure light and pure love...being Born Again is the only way to making peace with God's sovereignty and Justice. Once the Holy Spirit resides in your being, He will show you who He is, and who you are in Him. You also must remember, we have a living enemy who will kill you, fist chance. He's blinding the minds and terrorizing all who are fearful. We're wretched to the core, even the little old lady baking the cookies. No one is capable of meeting the standard of Faith and true loyalty, obedience to an Omnipotent Omnipresent Omniscient Creator Father of all life. We want to understand everything yet, Christ told us if our faith was the size of a mustard seed, we make the mountains move. Ask the Lord to reveal the truth to you. If you surrender your heart/life to His purpose, you'll fall in love, never turning back. His Word is alive, read it. Feed on it! He'll lead you to a fellowship. The road is narrow, the gate is straight. Many who find it, don't stay on it. The prophecy of Jesus Christ is coming full circle. Believe in Him and you be saved!! 🙏💜✝️

You’re interpreting things with a human mind. Wouldn’t a creator’s mind be much more advanced? It all comes down to choice and our hearts. If people refuse to surrender to Christ then they’ve made their choice. For those who’ve never heard of Jesus but refuse to live according to their internal moral buzzer are also making their choice. We also don’t know what happens right before death. Anyone can have an experience before they take their last breath and call on Jesus. While it’s important to have this compassion, it’s also important to use that compassion to be sound in the gospel and sharing it with others. THAT is our job right now and living as an example to others. Unfortunately, there are churches that have harmed many, but do they even belong to Jesus? Many exist that don’t.

The book of revelation literally describes the color of the uniforms the army from the East is wearing. Rev. 9:17 Their breastplates were fiery red, dark blue, and yellow as sulfur. These are the exact colors of the uniforms of the Chinese army

Motivation to plant many seeds. Remember you are not the Holy Spirit, only God can change hearts. Also know that most people are going to hell and there's nothing we can do to change that, it has been written. It's hard to stomach, but we can rest on God's goodness and knowing that everyone has a choice where we spend eternity.

I read all of Corrie Ten Boom's books. Her account of meeting the guard, is he was quite the sadist in the camp. She wanted to Not forgive him, but knew that she'd be a hypocrite if she didn't.

BTW, William Miller was a Baptist pastor, yes the Seventh Day Adventist denomination sprouted from the movement of the time. William Miller never said his study on prophecy was spiritual. Are we in the last days? No doubt, but the definition of “last days” requires its own presentation.

Also on the Euphrates Turkey has a dam, and can just turn off the flow with a push of a button. This has been known for years. You can look it up, its not climate change.

Pastor Brett, the gathering together or rapture, does not take place until the last trumpet. The Lord doesn't let His bride go into the tribulation, just because He wants them to suffer. He allows us too go into the tribulation because He knows there is very important work that will need to be done that will glorify God and turn many more to Christ. The Church will be taken out at the last trumpet, then God will start unleashing His wrath on the unrepentant.

The church & HS (Restrainer) are removed - there will be 144k here to share the gospel and help lead the unsaved to Christ. Those that get saved are called the TRIBULATION SAINTS 👍🏻

In an old jewish wedding, the groom is announced by a series of trumpet blasts that are blown by his father. On the last trump the groom carries the bride to his house. The same way at the rapture and resurrection of the Church it is God the father that blows the trumpet. In the post-trib rapture of trib saints it is the ANGEL that blows the trumpet and there is no resurrection. Meanwhile, Jesus and the Church ride down to the battle of armageddon. There are two different raptures for different groups of people. Church is the bride of Christ and will be with Him always. Tribulation saints will be the God's priesthood. Two distinct callings. Hope this clears it up a bit.

The whole Bible ties into itself…there’s prophecy starting in Genesis all the way to Revelation and sometimes it sprinkled in between and some books are chocked full of it~so even if you’re a prophecy connoisseur~you’d be foolish to leave one iota out of your study. It’s always frustrating talking or debating prophecy or something in the New Testament with someone that seems to be dead-set against reading the whole Bible. They’re always wrong on some level bc they don’t have the full information they’re trying so passionately to argue. It’s like telling a teenager something, they always think they know more than you do with less info than you have. I am a prophecy buff but I didn’t set out to be, it’s just where I was led. I love it, but moreover~I love gaining knowledge that layers on understanding like building blocks each time I go back to the beginning. From what I understand, that never changes no matter how many times you read it. He said to seek Him diligently…when you do, you’ll be Blessed. Biblical Knowledge & Wisdom ARE truly more precious than anything else. It’s Priceless! So my advice is to not cheat yourself. And don’t cheat God! If He felt important enough to protect for Christian’s sake all throughout history it should be important to us, too.

The bible says 9 times that Jesus will return with angels. Two times, translators changed angelos to "saints."

The seals in Revelation are an outline/overview of the tribulation. The sun and moon are not darkened twice. The mountains and islands don't flee away twice. Everything post the 7th seal and before Christ's coming is details during the tribulation/seals. Like Genesis 1 is an outline of creation and Genesis 2 is a more detailed account of the 6th day and creation of mankind. Read Matthew 24 with the seals: Seals 1-4: wars, rumors of wars, famine, etc. Seal 5: abomination of desolation and persecution of saints/elect Seal 6: sun and moon darkened. Plagues and wrath of bowls Seal 7: silence because the tribulation has ended and our King has returned. Jesus said after the abomination of desolation, after tribulation, after the sun and moon are darkened He will come in the clouds with a trumpet blast. Paul said on the last trumpet. The 7th trumpet marks "The Day of the Lord"!
