70's 5pm Ct. valley. zone 6b. Your transplants really took off in 3 weeks to harvest. Nice salad. Thanks for sharing GreenT. So many are cooped up in condos now. Five would probably fit on a balcony and indoors with sliding doors to the patio. Organics we all need. Your selecting is packed with vitamins and minerals we all need.

That is a nice harvest. Any plant that wants to go to seed I replant among the bushes and flowers. Even the carrots from last year that were too small have found a new home in a flower planter. Hopefully they will give me pure seeds. That's good info about those planters and a neat idea to put the bok Choi in them.

I bought a vertical Greenstalk 💚. I have no yard. I am sad I can't grow a watermelon, but hey...love what I can do.

I am sorry to hear but Growing contain a vertically in a small space is still good.. You're doing it so give yourself some credit for that. Nothing beats homegrown.. have a wonderful t🌱

Fall turnip plants stayed small so I wintered over. Shot up over 4 feet this spring. Young leaves were to tender in salads. Hubby will remove them when we put peas in. Bolting but the flowers attract predictor insects and flowers are packed with nutrient for the bees.

We're planning garden layout. Garlic is getting bigger 2 locations. One location is in a bed and 5 cloves around the perimeter of the garden.

Thank you for showing us how to harvest leaves. What about basil? how do you harvest basil? it seems like it should be snipped from the top where its growing taller. but do you still clip or snip from the outside of the plant?

So you cut the plant about 3/4 away from the top so the bottom keeps growing , or sometimes I just remove some leaves as I am cooking... If you cut the plant at the bottom you just have to replant..

I have a few minutes so I'll share. Steaks have fat on the edges I cut some of the extra fat off before frying or grilling. I'm rendering tallow. Reduces grocery bill using less olive oil. I cook my bacon slow to strain after cooling. I use it so many ways. I'm getting hungry. lol Be blessed with good health, happiness and weather you need for a bountiful new season.
