Dry Camping and Boondocking are used interchangeably, but they are actually two similar but different types of camping. Dry Camping is camping in an established campground that doesn't have hookups, like the Forest Service campgrounds. Boondocking is camping anywhere that is not a campground, like on public land or in a parking lot.

First time I've watched your video. I'm retired and my wife retires the end of this month and we have been living in our fiver with two dogs for 8 months now and love it. Will start traveling when she retires. I agree with what you are saying about living arrangements, you get used to living small and don't really miss what you had before. Happy travels!

Yay for 'free-stylin'!!! So many were commenting on an RV group on FB that we should have booked a year out to find a place near Yellowstone! We were calling the DAY BEFORE we needed a spot. We found the PERFECT place, on white capped rapids and we have it to ourselves during the week. Almost full hookups, and we are thrilled. We seem to have the best outcomes with going with the flow!!😎

That is a beautiful rig. When you get into class A, it's about the same square footage as my apartment and not much smaller than some houses I've had...Great for boondocking & National Park stays I'd expect, if you have bad weather, you're still good.

Thanks so much! We do a little boondocking with it, but we really enjoy full hookups. Haha! And length has been an issue at a number of National Parks. We are thinking about a smaller rig down the road!

Oh thanks! I use a purple shampoo to keep the blonde 'toned down' and it's made by 'Milk Shake'. I got that and another Milk Shake product called Incredible Milk that I use before I air dry/scrunch. I only use the purple once a week b/c it is so concentrated, so other than that I just use the cheap stuff Herbal Essences 'Body Envy'. Oh, the Milk Shake products I get from my hair gal :) Hope that helps! Thanks for your sweet comment 😍

To make a change from a sticks and bricks in the lifestyle that you were used to, and go to such a small space is a big adjustment! I found the opening very funny and candid. Thank you for sharing! We are planning to full time when we put a few things in place with my business, and some family things, but we already homeschool our kids so one thing we won't have to worry about. We also go to sleep when we're tired, wake up when we're not tired anymore, and eat when we need to, and don't run by a clock. I'm enjoying your videos that are helping to prepare for our take off day. They are quite inspiring.

I can't wait to hit the road!!! I have been researching like mad, and we are going to be boondocking. I have always taken those quick showers, hate dishwashers, and refused to have a stove in my house because they take up way too much space and use way too much energy. I have lived in a motel room with my then-husband and two toddlers, so I know how to live small lol. I love living simply, and cannot wait for the freedom of living for ourselves (when my bf's girls grow up in ten years). So glad that you have learned to like simple living! Simple just means less stress all around 👍👍

im thinking about doing this for myself. I am graduating spring of next year. plan to work and save up for a mid size bus converting it to a full on living space on wheels, work and save a little more and then hit the road. Make money and support myself and my cat by stopping at farmers markets and selling things i make. I might only full time it for a year, then find a nice place buy a little plot of land and build a tiny house there. I might full time it forever who knows, but all i know is this is living working till you die trying to pay off basic needs plus other expenses isn't.

I love this video. It made me happy to just listen. We are doing the off grid shed to tiny house conversation. But one of these years I am going to get my husband out for a long road trip. I think we would enjoy it so much. We bought a time share when we first married so we could take great family vacation. We are the people who leave early and stay late. Never wanting the trip to end. But for the next few years we will be helping our daughter get through pharmacy school and just enjoying life. Hope you will check out our channel. We hope to get another video up in a few days. Maybe a video of the farm. Enjoy your travels. Take care, Leslye

If you hate ads that much, then get an ad blocker extension. You've lived your whole life with 5 to 6 commercials, about 10 minutes long, at least 4x, between one show. I think you can handle both 1 or 2 minute commercials right before a content-rich video without interruption, can't you? If not, then the only word I can think of is "entitled". Making KZfaq vids takes time to make the script, edit the video, manage the comments, monitor analytics, learn SEO, etc. If you're not donating to the channels you watch, then the least you can do is watch a few ads. They have to eat somehow.

I'm sure you know this because you seem extremely intelligent but please don't feed the Trolls. They have a hunger for drama and contemptuous behavior that is insatiable and seldom does engagement effect understanding.

Simplifying?? What is that a 35 or 40 foot fifth wheel , sitting in front of a fireplace!! Oh my god no dishwasher!!! My grandmother who is 90 years old and has never had indoor plumbing!! Gets up every morning goes to the hydrant and gets water!!! So watched this and just laughed and made the comment that she feels sooo sorry for the misery you must experience with short showers and no dishwasher!!

Haha everything is perspective😊 What simplifying for one will be different for another. Everyone has different life experiences. I've lived in over 3000 sqft and now in 350 sqft (40ft), so yes, from my perspective it is simplifying. We want to downsize even more!👍🏻The initial comments in the video are meant to be funny, sorry you didn't receive it that way, it was just to 'set up' the content. Thanks for your comment! ~Cheri

EnjoyTheJourney.Life there's a difference between prospective and just plain soft!! This is a great example of what's wrong with America today!! As you well know you're rv set up costs more than you're average American home!! And the fact that you even have the audacity to complain about it is just disgusting and offensive!!

Soft is **your perspective**, but other people have a different perspective. You want to state 'facts', here's one. The median price of American homes in April 2018 is $312,400. The *average price of an American home is $407,300. This RV cost $56,000 and that is NEW!! We could buy *five* of these for the price of an average US home haha. Sorry you missed the humor because I have never complained about this RV or lifestyle b/c I love it!! Glad you enjoyed it and at least got a laugh out of it! ✌🏼

EnjoyTheJourney.Life I spent the last 30 years in the U.S. Army!! I've seen what real suffering is!! I've walked into villages that had been gased where everybody was dead from infants to the elderly!! SO GO AHEAD AND TELL ME MORE ABOUT MY PROSPECTIVE!!

I appreciate *your perspective* and your service in the US Army. We all have had negative and or traumatic life experiences, and that is why we should not judge one another and be more accepting and love one another. We believe in living life to the fullest, enjoying the journey, enjoying nature and each other, and my wish is that you enjoy your journey 😍

We work from home 😀We make our own schedule and we are night owls, so we sleep later than what others consider a 'normal' schedule. It works for us and we love it! I also drink coffee and I'm not hungry until an hour or so after a cup o' joe✌🏼☕️
