I am so very sorry for your troubles. This breaks my heart every time I hear another story! It so clear that the people that build. Them actually care than the company executives who will do nothing to make the RV whole. They are more than happy to to take those’d checks from you and the clock punchers are home having a beer. It’s a pretty pathetic look at todays society where NO pride in taken when building these RV’s for their fellow countrymen. If you tried to give me one, I’d have to refuse. We took our F-250 (gasser) with our 5th wheel last year over the Teton Pass and for the first time in a long time, I too was "white knuckling" it. I didn't have so much of an issue going downhill since I put the trans. in manual and stayed in 2nd and 3rd gears. I also just had the brakes on the F-250 replaced with Akebono pads (not a sponsor). They are a superior brake pad and didn't have any "brake fade" on hard braking. It was going uphill that we had a bit of a struggle as we were getting passed by just about everyone but that's okay. We made in in/out of Jackson and had a great time while there.

I use normal TP. Have been for years. I flush the black tank with the elbow sprayer every time. I leave the tank half full afterward. Only have trouble in the winter if it's super cold. NE Oregon.

#7. Have a tow vehicle that can handle the trailer. Not just the tow weight capacity but the ability to stop the trailer. Control the trailer in situations that could arise like WIND. Or Defensive driving. Stopping WHEN you lose the trailer brakes. (That is going to happen. It's not an "if" situation at all. It's a "when" you lose the trailer brakes situation) So many people out there pulling a big 5th wheel with the 1/2 ton or more with the 3/4 ton trucks that "SAY" they can pull it but it's MORE THAN PULLING.... it's everything else. Dually police here.... don't question my autoratie!!!!!! lol

I would trade our tankless water heater for one with a tank any day. Long, hot showers are only good if you are hooked up to water and sewer. When dry camping - tankless is a huge waster of water, I don't want to collect water in a bucket! IMO - not an upgrade.

Taking the Hoback through Alpine detours the Teton pass and Pine creek pass. Only adds 20-30 min…..well worth it.

Only mistake I made as a newbie was opening both propane tanks. Wasn't a problem till 3am at 40°f in a pop up. Well thankfully we were camping with friends and they had an extra tank. Easy fix but sit hear about it.
