My grandparents lived there before there were bridges. My cousin still lives there. He hates it. Crime increasing. He was beat up in his driveway.

GREAT video by Sterling! Happy to subscribe. Question: if the IRS recognizes 98040 as, " one of the Top 100 income earning zip codes across the United States" would this make Mercer Island a tasty target for IRS audits? Surely not a good thing. That would give new meaning to becoming victimized by the "Seattle Freeze" don't you think?

Great question and observation. I don't really know how the IRS chooses to audit people, other than failing to report documented income. Perhaps higher income earners are looked at more closely? If that's the case, and Mercer Island has higher income earners, I could see the correlation. Whatever the case, it's good to shoot straight and work with a CPA who's on the ball. Thanks again!
