As an Anthropology major myself, I decided it was finally tie to share the pros of majoring in anthropology! As a fourth year at UCLA, I now have several years of courses under my belt to share with you what I think are the best things about this major. Who am I? My name is Alivia Brown and I am currently an undergraduate Anthropology student at UCLA on a mission to find a career that I love. My major does not have a straight forward "path" as many would say and I am not only determined to prove that I can be successful in my major but also demonstrate my ability to find a career that brings me joy. I totally agree with the being the 1st. There is so much of Earth that has yet to be discovered. Such as what lurks in the Amazon rainforest, the icy tundra of Antarctica, desert, or the bottom of the oceans. There is so much that we still don't understand when it comes to human life.

Exactly! It can be tough to get comfortable with that idea but I truly think we have what it takes to "discover" some of these things. So powerful!

I'm an archaeology PhD candidate teaching an intro to cultural class for the first time (can you say "out of my element!"?). I haven't taken a basic cultural class in several years, so I like using your videos in class to help me elucidate certain key terms or concepts. You have a way of explaining things so much simpler than I do! I know you've asked for video recommendations in the past, so basically, I'd be happy to see videos on any key cultural anthropological concepts (globalization, technology usage, kinship, sociocultural systems, gender, etc.) or just anything you think would be useful for an introductory cultural Anth class. Good luck with your coursework and with applying to grad programs or jobs!

Oh my gosh, how amazing!! I love hearing from PhD students! I always think about teaching classes in other disciplines down the road and wonder how that would play out haha. I would love to make videos on these topics! Thank you so much for this list. And also, I’m so flattered to hear these videos are being used in an educational space. That’s the dream!!

Im 25 now and currently doing my 4th year undergraduate study in engineering dicipline. Does it possible for me to take second bachelor degree in antropology after I finished my engineering study because I don't have any background studies related to antropology and I've just realise that I really love to study antropology if I had the chance for it. Btw, please make more videos about antropology. I like it

Hello! First of all-engineering, how amazing! And as far as another degree in anthropology, I think it is definitely possible to get a masters in anthropology. I’m not sure how getting another bachelors would work but maybe it’s possible? Also, maybe looking into a minor in anthropology would be a good idea. Good luck and what an amazing set of interests!
