If the supreme court hands the case back to Chutkan to have her put the trial on the calendar. Then you will see Canon set a trial date before Chutkan so she can run blocker for Trump. Of course that trial date she sets is a date that she doesn't intend on sticking to it. I can guarantee that if the supreme court returns the case for remand so that after the fact finding by the judge is returned to the supreme court they won't even start considering it till October at the earliest. because that is when their next session begins.

Even if a trial of some sort begins before election day, these processes have already demonstrated that American citizens are spit on by our justice system. That is unless we all would have the millions in resources it takes to play the game. Even with guilty verdicts. Appeals will take 3-5 years. Meaning he needs to be jailed waiting appeals. Any stays may allow him to escape accountability. Lock the orange traitor up. Supreme Court further proceedings wouldn't take place until 2025 if remanded. We will see how corrupt the SC is in a week.

No they are deciding a single motion on Presidential immunity. They should not have even taken up the motion because it was already decided by two lower courts and this is not a murder trial. They are just delaying for trump. Most likely outcome they will remand this to the trial court to Judge Chutkan who must explain why the charges do not deserve any type of immunity. I don't believe this particular set of judges understand the concept of setting a precedent.

I am confident they won't make a ruling until after the transition of power to Trump. That is when they would rule he has immunity and will claim their ticket to be in his sphere of power when he rises as the dictator of the USA. If Biden wins then they will likely throw Trump under the bus because A. He wouldn't have a real chance of winning 2028 and B. Attempting to hold back on it for 4 years more will get enough support for Democrats to take over the goverment and have cause to throw them out of office.
