From a constitutional standpoint the Justices of the Supreme Court and the President of the United States are equal in authority. You can’t just fire or recall one. We agree. Before all Trumps far right judges were put on the court, we weren't really worried. All I can say is thank god both of them are in their 70's. Most of Americans were shocked that there isn't something that can be done about our Supreme courts. Those judges know it too so they run their court like its untouchable. Just yesterday the made it ok to sell numb stocks again for guns. Their reasoning was incredibly stupid. They aren't thinking about peoples lives. Just their second amendment rights.

The dictator can't come along and exercise their dictatorial powers magically live despite the fatal nature of the person's heath condition or situation. I agree that we need better vetting of SCOTUS justices. We also need better vetting of lower court's lifetime appointed judges. The President nominating and Senate confirming judges nolonger works to seat impartial lifetime judges. The remedies of term limits, impeachment and packing the courts would help, but would be difficult to achieve in our divided nation. PROPOSAL: It could be helpful if lifetime judges are vetted by a group of nationwide randomly selected citizens, similar to a jury or grand jury. Their resulting report(s) could be given to the press and any issues examined in greater detail during the Senate confirmation hearings.

He did not say what that additional component was, and he did not say that it was the duty of the judiciary to provide it.
