Today we venture into the Prospect Heights area of Brooklyn NY. We will be taking a walk along the border lines of the neighborhood. Starting on Flatbush Avenue, we will stop and look at the Barclays Center - Home of The Brooklyn Nets. We will continue on, seeing all the various store fronts and making our way to Eastern Parkway while stopping to look at the arch of Grand Army Plaza.
As we walk along Eastern Parkway we will see the many apartments that line the road, as well as the Brooklyn Museum. From there we turn onto Washington Avenue, and check out the store fronts and street art along this part of the walk. We will then get to our final leg - Atlantic Avenue - where we will stop to take a look at the train yard for the Long Island Railroad. We will then end the walk back at the Barclays Center - completing our border lap around Prospect Heights.
Come along for this nice tour of the surrounding area of Prospect Heights. I plan to come back and do some more walking through the side streets of this neighborhood in the future. Commentary throughout the walk. As always, Thanks for taking the walk with me!

would like to thank you so much for this walk. I was born on eastern parkway and rogers ave and had so many relatives living in the areas you passed on this walk. so nostaglic and heart warming to see my home neighborhood again the way you presented it thank you and be safe and well always

A walk down Memory Lane!! I lived on St. John's Place between Washington Avenue and Underhill Avenue until 1961. I was 6 or 7 years old. The apartment buildings on Eastern Parkway were top notch!! On St. John's Place, a little up on the left is the Paradise Apartments at 446. That's where we lived on the 4th floor....it was a walk-up.

The streets are all criss crossed , I'd get lost. Lol. 😂I love prospect Park, when I was a kid we used to go row boating all the time. Good memories I enjoyed the walk. Thank you❤

I'm familiar with the downtown area of Fulton St. shopping area and where all the municipal and courthouse buildings are. I'm also familiar with the area around the Bklyn. Botanical Gardens, but your walk introduced me to many new places. Thanks for the tour.

That rusty tin can of the Barclays Center 😂. Nice neighborhood but so much traffic trying to get to Fulton Street from Atlantic/Flatbush Aves. Never come here late at night or you’ll be mugged 🤣

Yea. Some parts of that walk can be sketchy at night - Atlantic Ave for sure. But others are ok, just as long as you watch yourself. And don’t be out after Midnight. Some areas of NYC can be bad no matter the time of day.

@@StrideWarrior Yeah, I’m always home by 8:30-9. I never stay out at midnight, especially neighborhoods that I don’t know about too much but most of them I know, doesn’t matter matter where I go, just got to be extra careful
