Summary of lifestyle management Overview --> General rule: "what's good for the heart is good for the prostate" (plant-based diets, physical activity, healthy weight, sleep, stress, reduce alcohol). For Mild BPH --> Loose weight, --> Be more active, --> Reduce alcohol, --> Emphasis plant-based diets. --> Reduce fluids before bed --> Avoid diuretics before bed --> Kegal exercises For Severe BPH --> Mild management + Medications needed and/surgery (see 21:08) Prostate Cancer --> Anti-inflammatory lifestyle changes (loose weight, less alcohol, etc).

My husband is under going treatment of prostate enlarged. He has a large size of prostate :- 43x41x34 and weighs about 31gms. PSA test shows: 16.57* MRI results: PIRADS-2 Urine color: pale yellow and ph 6.0 He is 73 of age & have no other problem, except this prostate enlarged case - which he faces peeing frequently. Please suggest or give your comments how we have take care of his health ?

Hi I’m curious of your take on trt treating someone with below normal testosterone levels (241) in a man with BPH that’s 48 years old and has had a previous bout of prostatitis that antibiotics cleared up. And has a 1.1 PSA. Would trt treatment increase the likelihood of accelerated growth of BPH? Is trt safe for someone like me? Thanks

I was curious to know if a low percentage of free PSA can be caused by chronic prostatitis ? My free PSA keeps going down as my prostatitus symptons worsen.

I've researched this and the answer is yes, prostatitis raises PSA and lowers free PSA. But, cancer does too so therein lies the challenge
