WATCH full long form video FMLA and MS: • Family Medical Leave A...
Family Medical Leave Act: If you or a loved one has MS, you know how challenging it can be to manage the disease and maintain a healthy work-life balance. Fortunately, the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) provides eligible employees with up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave per year to care for themselves or a family member with a serious health condition, such as Multiple Sclerosis.
In this video, we'll explore the key provisions of the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), including who is eligible for leave, how to apply for Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA leave), and what types of leave are covered. We'll also discuss how the FMLA can benefit family members of people impacted by MS, including providing job protection, continuation of health benefits, and the ability to take intermittent leave to assist the PwMS during flare-ups.
If you'd like to better understand your rights under the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) can make all the difference in managing the challenges of the disease. Join us for this informative video and learn how the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) can provide valuable support for families impacted by MS.
The Boster Center for Multiple Sclerosis is currently accepting new consultations and actively enrolling several MS and NMOSD clinical trials! And yes, we complete Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) paperwork for our patients! www.BosterMS.com or call 614-304-3444 to schedule!

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is just as important, if not more so, than FMLA. Especially when someone doesn't qualify for FMLA because they haven't been at their job for one year and/or worked 1250 hours (requirements to qualify for FMLA).

Absolutely right!! I learned that the hard way unfortunately. I wasn't told about ADA when I ran out of fmla time.

Currently on FMLA intermittent leave, and so thankful for it! I do wish I had taken an extended leave instead. I was thinking I could go to work on days I felt up to it, but I've only been to work twice in three weeks and I didn't make it a full day either time.

I have had MS for 20 years now. My last job ended in 2005 when I heard this man talk about FMLA I could not even imagine having to go to work. Thank God I’m retired now.

I relapsed and then started Kesimpta. I was off work for 3 weeks and received a text message to say I was being fired.

See if you can use long term disability insurance instead. Did your employer offer this option during open enrollment?
