I completely left out Obia Naturals Babassu Therapy Hair Mask. It is a completely protein based deep conditioner, but will not leave your hair feeling hard.

Loved this video. I’m so glad you said that you’re low porosity and you’ve noticed that protein has been helping your hair. A lot of times there is this idea that low porosity Naturals shouldn’t use protein. Every hair type/porosity can benefit from protein. I really like the Eden Bodyworks mask, the Algae Renew, and The Mane Choice a lot.

Bekura whiskey treatment is an amazing protein treatment it has quinoa in it. It leaves the hair feeling soft and moisturized. It’s pricey but worth it

Hydroquench systems(HQSystems)has alot of boom deep conditioner. From a small black woman business. So the wait on shipping is a headache but worth it. I tried out her samplepack with 4dif deepconditioner in it i think

Out of curiosity what porosity are you ? Your hair seems to like protein and you love butters, I wish I could use butters but it buildup on the strains and using protein for me is asking for breakage 😭!

Camille rose algae renew is protein free. It does have strengthening ingredients but it’s protein free

Camille rose Algae renew isn’t a protein treatment unless the ingredients list has changed & split end repair mask has seed extract which is a protein but usually extract means there’s hasn’t been much used although they could be strengthening I know these two aren’t protein treatments 😊

Hair porosity is the hair's ability to absorb and retain moisture. Low porosity can retain moisture great but the cuticles are always closed so it has a harder time getting moisture in. Medium/Normal porosity is in between, meaning the cuticles are slightly raised on their own and have a good time getting moisture in and retaining it. High porosity's cuticles are always raised meaning the moisture gets in very easily but can also get out easily. High porosity tends to be dry hair. If your hair soaks water in easily then you're high. If water takes a minute before soaking into your hair then that's medium/normal. If you notice water just sitting on your hair and not really absorbing then that's low.

You can look up on a youtuber named green beauty and she goes in depth about porosity hair. Actually she takes about basically anything that relates to natural hair. You shoukd check out her channel
