Even in his matches, Roger has a bored, uninterested look on his face. He seems to have cultivated that over the years to give an impression to his opponents that he is not fazed by their game or any trickery they might try against him.

You can tell the white shirt player is not at all used to how much topspin Roger can get from his backhand drives at 1:02. He just thinks " Oh sure I can drive this without taking enough steps back to give myself room", nek minnit, straight into the net. Federer's slice at 1:07 is beautiful, too. That backhand slice is what I’ve been practicing forever and can barley get the hang of
@BalajiBhaskar3 жыл бұрын
Totally. That backhand slice is magic. Like a knife cutting through the ball. Something to note though- there is no other racquet with which you can slice the ball that way. You need a really heavy racquet for it and ProStaff RF97 is best suited. However, give 1000 people the RF97, none will still look like Federer.
@sarsaparillasunset3873 Жыл бұрын
Federer's right foot always lands about 100 milliseconds before that backhand hits. In fact, his footwork operates as a sort of metronome for his swings. This is the key to his supremacy, and I haven't heard anyone talk about this.
