can you do Supply Blocking to gm? do whatever strategy you want, but just focus on killing their supply buildings/overlords. fight/harass as normal but dont kill their buildings, just kill their supply buildings then leave their base lol and repeat until they leave. i bet people would get very salty lmao

i like these nostalgia episodes, but just a suggestion for future ones - maybe you can do them in regions where you didn't do the challenge? e.g. do bongcloud in NA, do marine medivac in EU, etc.

Bongcloud comes from chess because one Grandmaster Paul Morphy back in 1845. It is called an "Opera game" where he plays against 2 dukes during an opera somewhere in France. He was winning a few games really easy, so he tried to spice up the game and flex on his opponents at the same time. So he took a fat rip from the bong and made the absolutely worst move possible - moving his king forward on move 2. This loses castling rights and exposes your king. I completely made that up btw, except the king move part.

the chess move is named Bongcloud partially because you would have to be stoned to use it as its really stupid. A couple people did it on purpose as a handicap. the move is to move your king on turn 2 into a terrible position. There was a guy online in chess named Lenny_Bongcloud who tried it a lot (and failed to win). The more famous uses of the move are grandmasters who were doing it as a handicap against lower ranked players.

Proxy gas to GM. That's where you drop a refinery on his third and bounce a couple of workers back and forth between the refinery and the minerals wasting his resources before he takes his third. The round trip between the nearest mineral patch and the refinery is about 3 times faster than to a base so you can waste the resources very quickly.

I thought wearing a pineapple shirt was a requirement to play the bongcloud, but man, you pulled it off.

I have an idea for a showmatch. Ask some pro to organise a game between you and some other pro but you will both be barcodes, neither of you would know who do you play and your goal would be to discover who the other player is and win of course. Who guesses right first has the right to pick the next map, who guesses but is wrong automatically loses the map pick.

Can't say anything about SC2 players, but it is very well known, that people are much ruder and more aggressive behind the screen and behind the wheel. It is linked to being anonymous / safe, so your hypothesis sounds very plausible. Barcode players could very well be more salty, simply because very few people will know who's being salty. Also thank you for all the great content! I haven't played Starcraft in easily 10 years, but always await your videos eagerly!

I have similar theory that barcodes are weaker mentally, thus hiding their name gives them less anxiety. I noticed the same thing back in Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne days. There use to be this thing called spoofer that changes your name. Those were very often first to grief and give up.

As a chess player I appreciate the name and game play!

Another challenge that should be fun to watch would be a combination of the bong cloud and pf rush/proxy hatch - you go cc first at a distant location, preferably on the enemy's side of the map, and then build your base normally there. As an additional challenge, you could try to avoid building anything at all at the original site and try to move your original cc and workers to the new location asap.
