First, I ask for a prosperous blessing for every person who reads this. May all good things flow to you and fill you up so that you flow over in blessed service to the world. I ask for the same for myself and may Divine wisdom fill me and use me as an instrument to touch as many as people as I can with a message of hope and prosperity. Amen.

This video came at a very tumultuous time in my life. My narcissist husband of 38 years decided he longer wants to be married, and he thinks he's entitled to everything in the home, even things I had before we were married. After hearing this teaching, I have so much more peace about giving up the material things he's trying to hold over me to torture me. If they hold no value to me, there can be no torture, no pain. So I gratefully thank the items that I will never see again, for their purpose, and the enjoyment they brought my life. It is time to align myself to my new peaceful future. No longer under an evil spell, I will allow the universe to fill me with light and love. I will trust that I will be provided with the things I need and desire, and they will have no hurt and pain from the past attached to them.

So much of my clothing is thrifted, as in worn by other people. That doesn't prevent me from loving them, and it's wasteful to discard them. I also have donated clothing and now someone else is wearing my clothing. I think this is fine. I do understand not hanging on to clothes you don't wear. I also have dirty shoes and worn out clothes that I wear for gardening. I can't see ruining my better clothes while pulling weeds and spreading mulch. Repairing broken items, to me is a sign of gratitude. I appreciate what I own, and I try not to spend money frivolously. I've actually been very fortunate in terms of financial stability, shelter, food, and other basics. I would like to be more prosperous, and I can understand traveling light, so I guess I can be more aware of what I am holding onto that no longer serves me, and I know I can do better as far as clutter is concerned. So, I am willing to make some changes, and to see what happens.

I thank the Universe and God for everything, the good and the bad as everything has been a lesson to me. Most lessons have been good and amazing teachings of strength, determination, kindness, and yes evolving. I thank my life experiences, tears, and struggles present and past because I know it will push me to achieve an inner force and strength I may not have known I have or how to use. I particularly like the idea of thanking the items before letting go of them as one reason I have a cluttered home is that I feel guilty and sad about getting rid of items, particularly if they belonged to a late friend or relative. I’m always donating clothes, bed linen, items I know longer want. I have many items within my home, a mug, a bathrobe, a wall hanging etc, etc; Many of my items were given to me by my sisters and my mother . I know longer have those three beautiful women in my life. They all passed away suddenly, in the past four years. I won’t get rid of those items. In fact I look at those items, use those items and give thanks for my beautiful sisters and mum that I had who helped me grow into who I am.

Thank you and bless you. I stumbled upon this and am so thankful that I did. I will go through my clothes and give them away and I do have some shoes I will toss...after I thank them of course. In the last few years I've lost three very special people in my life and I do have some things that are theirs. I have gotten rid of most of one of them, my fiancé's, as it's been too hard to keep all his things in the house we lived in together. The others are some of my parents things that I grew up with. I'm very thankful for having these items as it reminds me of the times I had with them as I wouldn't normally remember without seeing these things. I will pray about discarding/giving away these belongings as I'm not ready to release them yet. The philosophy of thanking things is something I've heard of before and now stumbling upon this and hearing it again makes me believe that I need to work harder on making that a habit. I don't wear shoes in the house and will work on keeping them clean or keeping them outside. I don't keep anything that's broken, so at least I've been doing one of them. Your advert came up out of the blue but was neant to be. I cannot afford to replace my old clothes. I use my old shoes for gardening. However, our whole house is so damp everything has to be removed so that workmen can strip off old plaster and replaster nearly every wall in the house. Already, the house seems happier if that makes sense. I feel energised and less depressed. I've written down what you said to remind me. I'm currently making up a scrap book of places and events I've taken my husband to (He has dementia) this year. His old photo albums from his childhood and as a young man upset him. I didn't want to change anything in the house or garden for the grandchildrens sake as they need some familiar place to relax in. So yes, you are right in everything you say. Smudging does big wonders! I have to disagree with letting go of deceased loved ones items, I means no harm to hang on to it especially if it gives us comfort and peace, it’s not the items that we should let go of, it’s the nostalgic clinging attached to it that we should let go of, or if it causes us pain remembering.

I understand now. Things that I thought were great losses were actually chaining me to the past as God was leading me into a renewed present. Thank you, Lord. I’m so grateful.

I love this, totally agree about energy. I still have things from my late husband, His pottery he made, A few clothes, Love notes, Things from his work and Memorial service. I feel totally confused now 😢 I want to feel free, i'm just afraid of letting them go. I feel torn now. Maybe i'm just afraid of the pain that It would bring up. I really want to get to that point that she talks about...sighhhh

I know this is so true as I work with energy daily, however I must admit that I still need to do a little more and get rid of excessive objects which if one thinks of it just collects dust. We have a church bazaar each year where we take donated objects to sale and a percentage goes to charity and some to help with church expenses. I will start boxing things up. As for shoes, for cleaning them with detergent etc. I do that and energetically for my shoes as I was taught in my courses and with any object in the house. My teacher Master Choa Kok Sui has many courses all based on energy. Thank you however as this has prompted me to do a bit more decluttering.
