Wow! Just wow! That hotel looks absolutely amazing! And omg, it looks so beautiful! Every time I saw something new in the hotel throughout the video, I just went, omg, this place looks amazing! I have never stayed at a Disney hotel before (Disneyland or WDW), so I think it's great that you guys, Chris and Amanda, are showing us fulls tours of these hotels and showing us everything there is to see about these beautiful places! That hidden Mickey on the grandfather clock is brilliant! Had Chris not pointed it out, I would never have seen it! I love it! I think your videos are what keep me going throughout each and every day, because I love your positvity (and Chris's cheesy jokes) and I look forward to your videos every day! No! You've let people know where my morning spot is! You can sit in the outside lounge, and listen to the Grizzly Rapids and smell the trees. It's a great hang out spot.

I've stayed at the Grand Californian a few times. It was particularly nice when I visited during the holiday season, because there were a few days when it was pouring rain, and I could get there quickly to change or dry my clothes before going out again. I love exploring the Grand Californian! It looks like you knew a few places I didn't know about. I've never shared that 5th floor patio with anyone when I went there, and the fireplace is awesome! Last time I visited, it wasn't in the budget to stay in, but I made sure to visit. I absolutely love looking over those balconies on the different floors overlooking the lobby. They're great spots to people watch from without being intrusive, and a great Christmas tree viewing area.

I actually stayed in the Dream Tower @ Disneyland Hotel. Grand Californian was my next choice. I also looked into Paradise Pier. My nocturnal nature drew me into both lobbies. Each hotel having lovely offerings. I love a great fireplace. Wilderness Lodge + Whispering Canyon are my favs. When I go back i will definitely stay in the Californian. Those lamp fixtures & grandfather clock are soooo cool! Thanks Provost family! National roller coaster day is August 16th. Hope you get to ride one.

Great tour of the hotel. I've probably been in their lobby 50 or more times to cool off in the summer or warm up in the winter. At first they allowed anyone to enter DCA from the hotel after 10 but I guess just guests now.

I just want to say THANK YOU for this tour! I am here currently and asked the guest services lady if there was an outdoor terrace besides the one in the DVC area and she said only if you are club level. My mom and I KNEW you had recently shown otherwise. I looked up your video again and sure enough! There it was… the terrace on the 5th floor. Thank you for your insight and tours! 🎉

Great video Chris and Amanda. When I was there many years ago they had Disney movies in the courtyard. You could sit outside and watch movies and drink wine. It was fantastic. Do they still do that?

Does the new early entry system apply the day you check in and/or the day you check out if you only do one or two nights as suggested in your video for doing split stays? Do you have to buy separate park tickets to match up with your hotel stay? Or does the early entry work for magic key holders who maybe do a stay cation?

BIG +1 on the Craftsman Grill. Storyteller Cafe is fun, but it's expensive. You gotta do the Critter Breakfast once, but after that, the CG is a reasonably priced alternative -- the perfect place to fuel up the fam for a day at the park.

Chris - I would love to see how to get into that little area beneath the Monorail tracks when the Monorail first enters the Grand Californian - it is full of plants and seems like a little oasis from the hustle and bustle of Downtown Disney.

Thanks Provost family!! I was wondering if you could do a video on the rides that most often and least often break down. It's always hard for my autistic son when rides shut down unexpectedly so i was curious. And it would be another way to showcase the canoes since they are always going. I had that blondie…. It IS awesome. Here is another secret. Paradise Pier Hotel is right across the street. So you can stay half price and still enjoy most of the services at the Grand Californian. (Just present your key card at the front pedestrian gate.) The DLH is too far and is like blocks away! (As Mark says: “What?!?!?”)

I love Get Away Today but even on their site it is very expensive. The cheapest rates I have found is to do a DVC rental. Loved the tour! Thanks guys!

I remember back in late 2019 when y'all announced your Disney Park world tour, I was looking forward for that so much. Any chance of making it to Japan, Hong Kong, or Shanghai in the foreseeable future? Hope so. Especially for Tokyo Disney Sea. That's considered by many to be the best theme park in the world. Anyway thanks for another great video.

Does the little overlook behind goofys barnstormer.....overlooking Pixar pier no longer exist or allowed access? Found it easily last time we stayed there.....great view of the park at night!

Fun! I am surprised you didn't point out all the hidden things in the hall carpet... many Mickeys and, of course, Chip & Dale are hiding there 🙂 I'll be there in a 2B Villa for D23! I love the Choc Croissants in Craftsman Grill so much, they make 'em fresh for me

I have stayed there and found morning entry better from the main gates. They are slow at the hotel entrance and it puts you in the wrong section of the park vs the main gate

I gave the engagement ring to my wife in the "Napa Rose". I was nervous; she had a cold, plus it was a rainy night. Before I presented her with the ring she was nagging me about how nervous/distracted I was; the waiters and manager were super nice (and the dinner was delicious). We return next October (21 or 22 trip to the parks)

Great video Chris and Amanda! This is such a one of a kind hotel. The hallways are so awesome and I like the color brown with the trees growing on it, very clever idea. It's so cool they have a second firepit to relax by. The grandfather clock with the hidden mickey on it made me think of Frozen for a second. These full tour videos give me great information on places to stay at as I build my Disney dream vacation. Every time I hear you guys mention Get Away Today, it brings me one step closer to using them for my Disney vacations. You have a huge place in my heart and I'm so glad I got to meet you in Disneyland last year! I hope to cross paths with you again one day

That one is for the DVC members staying in that wing of the Building-- it's 6th floor and much smaller than the one Chris showed 🙂 You need to have a valid Villa key to get out there, I think.

@@ryanmoore3257 I paid almost $10K in Annual Dues this January, it's a Perk. There are other balconies and you can watch from inside DCA. The Deck is not big, folks crowd in there, it's not huge like the other deck.

Thanks Guys. We love that place. We were lucky to stay there 2 or 3 weeks after it opened. they had a tour that was great. if they offer it I would do it. It gave you all sorts of little known facts about the hotel. Like the carpet/tile in the lobby is the California poppy and if you notice the poppies are closed because the poppies are inside, not out in the sun and poppies close at night. Also the chandelier's are I think 1 or 2 tons apiece and they are made of copper and wood. it's been a while and I'm not sure of the weight. Anyway there are a lot of facts that we learned.

Try renting DVC points from a DVC broker... at least 25% cheaper, no taxes and free parking. There are a few good Brokers, make sure they are large.
