When this song came out in 2000, everyone at my school was making fun of it, because it contained a taboo word: "gay." It was taboo to even publicly state that you liked the song because that somehow automatically made you gay. We all had to enjoy it in private, or face ostracism. - This song was ahead of its time. It's message is still relevant today.

Kinda true. I would always sing it in my head. But I had a feeling a lot of others in my high school knew the song too. The band was very obscure for its time. But their songs are prob more relevant than ever

Gay acceptance was finally becoming a thing at my high school in 2000. I think songs like this one and High School by Jeremy Fisher were things that helped normalize it. From my experience from the late 90’s to early 00’s there was a huge cultural change where it went from taboo to normal. It was a remarkable change of opinion. Some towns were just a year or two ahead of others.

While a lot of people were singing about getting laid or doing drugs, Prozzak was out standing up to racism and homophobia and speaking for hope and equality. A timeless message if ever there was one.

I I’m Japanese and, I listened to this music for first time when I went to school in Canada. I didn’t felt discriminated against, but I was different from others. This song gave me peace of mind. So, this song is one of the my favorite, even now.

this is on one of the many mixed cds & tapes I made my daughter (starting when she was born) .. they all had empowering and self love themes. I knew she would get hurt from life and not always tell me.. but she could listen to these mixes and feel better about who she is. and know that she is imperfectly perfect to me.

Some of the songs were bobby Sherman's Mr sun, Shaun Cassidy its up to you, A good chunk of the touched by an angle sound track. I used to sing " I believe in you to her" Today Greer its all right to cry. Well actually much of my list is on a play list. Some songs are not this list because I could not find copies on you tube. ( a few were from friends choir concerts

This hasn't aged perfectly, with some phrasing that is awkward yo put it nicely, but the overall message is sufficient enough that people can overlook them. It is amazing how things can change so much while fundamentally being the same

I remember having this song recorded on a tape cassette, which I taped off the radio like 15 or more years ago when I was in high school and I used to listen to the song all the time. I saw just about every prozzak music video back in the day, but surprisingly I never saw this music video until the first time today. o.o I honestly didn't even think the song had a music video for it.
