After 55 days of ownership, this printer is still broken.

You probably already checked this but I had an issue where the extension cable I had wasnt rated for the power draw and it was resetting the machine. I plugged the machine directly into the outlet with the OM cable and it worked flawlessly

Thanks for the comment. We are currently plugged directly into the wall on a 20amp circuit. This mess unfortunately is board related.

@@monkeybraincreations Just out of curiosity did your XL ship with the tub of gummies or the large bag? I heard some cases of the large tub of gummies damaging parts of the XL during shipping, mostly heater bed but maybe boards

Sorry to hear that. From the previous video, I thought they were sending two boards, but apparently not. This is a huge red flag. I've got an MK3S+, which has mostly been reliable. I am really torn on whether to buy another Prusa, though. At this point it certainly will not be an XL. Best of luck, keep us updated.

Prusa XL works very good for me.

@@Ro3Deee I'm sure many of them do. It becomes a "how lucky do you feel" type of question. Is it really worth the risk to pay this kind of money just to deal with tech support for weeks on end? I'm really interested in finding out how Prusa resolves MBC's issues.

@@michaelj3971 The XL is the best printer I have ever had (and that includes the Bambu Lab X1-Carbon Combo) It's worth every cent. Have you ever contacted the tech support of one of the other manufacturers? Probably not because they don't normally answer!!

Problem is, I have 2 techs now responding on this issue and they each have their own ideas.

hey you prob have checked this...but did you set the power input of the machine to the right voltage? I got another different printer and it would restart when I try the bed heating calibration and it turned out factory set the power supply to 240v and I had to switch the pin to 120V then it worked.

You had me all excited that maybe I missed something simple. Unfortunately, its set for 110. Good catch and tip though. Hopefully it helps someone else with similar issues.

@@monkeybraincreations Nonetheless it is an interesting point. It makes you wonder if it possibly *could* be a power supply issue. Have you checked any of the voltages? Especially what happens to the heat bed voltage when the bed is is turned on. Or maybe what happens to voltages to the printed circuit boards when the heat bed is powered up. If those voltages are sagging it could possibly cause errors. It may be a long shot, but it is interesting and something that can be checked.
