For the Riga build - I do this trick almost every time now when I play in Europe since Riga is such amazing vassal. 1. Annex and Dev it to only 20. 2. Build Castle, Barracks, Marketplace, Workshop, 3. Stab to 3 and release as vassal and DIVERT trade. 4. Riga will now take a mission getting a free cathedral, a modifier and extra dev, because of low burgher influence due to the low trade income. 5. Riga will then take the OP mission giving them all the other buffs, since it inherited 3 stab from you on release. Now you can give them 4 more provinces - usually I give them the rest of their home region - Livonia + Mitau, They really pack a punch constantly fielding a 20 stack. They are AMAZING! This one time as Muscovy I did this trick nice and early and OPM Riga was making more money than me :D. Didn't know if I should cry or laugh.

20k ? With 5 province they field easily 40k and you can also build barracks for +10

For point 4, the modifier is conditional and requires riga to be a theocracy. Unless you are a theocracy yourself releasing as a vassal will lose one of the good modifiers

i don't intend on watching the full 30 minutes since i already know white house, but you can also go for infrastructure ideas for an additional -10% gov cost. I did a portugal -> texas game where i had all of north and south america (~6K dev) fully stated and it barely cost me any gov capacity, even with just courthouses white house and infrastructure

Riga gets cores on the Teuton and Livonian lands if it completes the missions and can't use the subjegation CB's on them, that's why they had all of those core provinces :)

In your opinion, is it better to dissolve the HRR early, as you suggest here, or is it better to be HRR Emperor for a while, take advantage of the bonuses and then dissolve the HRR later as Prussia?

Hi Playmaker, I tried your strat for early dismantle. I get a -1000 when I was trying to sell the province to Bohemia. It said "The province is part of the HRE and Austria is the emperor". Any idea how I can solve that? Cheers

Improve relations, but generally he wont sell for a few years. try selling closer to when the truce expires.

you can avoid the dutch revolt just by putting your capital in amsterdam, for example, if your capital is in the low countries then it wont fire

issue embargo to random nation causes the claims to refresh and I get them instantly. Then I just wait for diplomat to return in 2 days.

Bohemia took the Teuton land because they are kingdom rank and it's in their culture group. This mechanic makes German wars with the electors as allies annoying often times.

It's annoying as hell but in fairness it is rather realistic. There were a lot of instances in which lands across the HRE were conquered by lords or bishops with spurious claims, which together with inheritances lead to the HRE map looking like every cartographer's worst nightmare.

Don't conquer Riga, vassalize, so it stays as Theocracy. One of the conditional modifiers requires it to be theocracy. Also, turn it into a march for extra power. No idea about release Riga with 18 provinces, that sounds like a bug.

Part of the issue with that though is that trying to naturally get them to fill all their building slots and having 3 stab is very difficult without conquer and release

I think one of the modifiers requires it to be catholic, while the rest work all the time.

Riga has missions to vassalize the Teutons and the Livonian Order. If they don't exist, they get their cores instead.

one of their missions gives subjugation cb on tuetons and livonians but if they don't exist it gives them cores on the land

Look… Your videos go from great to not so great. Just build courthouses and statehouses, give the estates the land rights, become an empire and don’t state that much stuff as Prussia, you’ll be fine… Especially with the mission of theirs that gives gov cap and with Admin ideas. Also you DO NOT need to no-cb Hungary to dismantle. Just attack a free city that you have a claim on, you’ll not have any AE problems post-war and you can separate peace Austria’s boys for war reps. Yes’s it’s a harder war, so what? Why would you no-cb for no reason, go no the new world and bankrupt: all for the sake of “dealing with the gov cap”. Have large vassals and do all the steps I mentioned before: you’ll be absolutely fine🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ This is not “advanced Prussia”: this is needlessly complicated Prussia imo

I would hard disagree... but what's the point... EU4 is great because there are many different ways to go about doing things. I think this strategy is one of my best, and you don't like it, and that's okay. I don't think that diminishes the quality of the strategy or the video.
