I remember when I started to play EU4 in 2013, being confused why my stability drops every time I declare war and why Austria joins against the ones I attack :D

This explains why you hate boats so much, you learned the game by playing BBurg XD A few notes: I personally like going for a 20/4 stack as soon as MT6 hits (assuming you have the eco for that), since combat width is 24, and the 20/4 stack splits into 10/2, which can then split into 5/1, without any weird fractions going on. It might also be a bit advanced for a beginners guide, but I also recommend going for show strengths when you're having downtime. You of course couldn't do that because you had a truce with Stettin from the Poland war, and the other 2 rivals were saxony and bohemia, who are annoying to fight.

I really appreciate you doing beginner guides. I am a beginner who wants to get better at the game, but watching your regular videos don't really help me get better, so something like this is very much appreciated. I hope you can make more in the future. Thank you!!

I would point out that the playmaker made a missclick when writing the tittle, but I'm afraid he'll reload and I will forget the last 10 minutes of my existence, besides he wouldn't missclick is not like he is lemoncake or something 1.37* I'm subbed to both**

Great video my man. Love these more simple guides that don't need certain triggers to have good campaigns. My friend who is new to the game will love this.

9:33 The only down sides of taking all their money that i can think of is that it increases inflation. Also the truce gets longer which is annoying if you want to conquer them again.

Thats one of the best ways to measure you're growth and understanding, play something, then play it again and see how quickly you can get to where you were before.

Also rival guys like Wolgast/ Stettin, the Teutons and allies of them if possible before you attack them. You ll have heaps of Power Projection as Brandenburg.

Religious diplomats does not contribute to clergy loyalty equilibrium. Two of the best privileges are clergy development of temples and the nobility fort one. Each gives 10% loyalty at the cost of only 5% influence (oversight of the clergy for example gives 10% loyalty for 10% influence) but you also get straight up positive bonuses at no cost.

There is a tiny cost of not gaining crownland from them when developing tho

Does a show strength count for age objective when you do an humiliate War ? Because it's a good amount of mana points for getting tech 4 before all of your neighbours
@jasonmain6398Ай бұрын
It used to not count but now it does

can you explain that note on crownland at the end selling titles if above 25?
@Theplaymaker57Ай бұрын
Selling titles removes 10 crownland. So assuming you can also sieze land. you can keep yourself above 20. and 20 does not raise autonomy. So I want to avoid going below 20
@jonathankraus6818Ай бұрын
@@Theplaymaker57 should we not be trying to get much higher crownland?
@limezebra2623Ай бұрын
You should try to get more crownlands generally speaking. However having crownlands below 20% has scaling autonomy gain (bad-crippling as you approach 0). If you're at or above 25 and you sell 10% you go to 15. But if you immediately seize land you're back at 20. TLDR- try to keep crownlands at least at 20%

Played multiple playthroughs as Brandenburg (My favourite Brandenburg-ish is Gotland => Hansa => Prussia for maximum disciplin space marines). Austria is NOT a reliable offensive ally until you start fighting the Scandinavians and Russia. He won't help you against HRE members, so your best strong ally will have to be either Sweden, England, Poland or Bohemia (not likely). Any other strong powers will likely not have interest in the HRE.
@AmericanizzleАй бұрын
I think the main benefit of allying Austria is that it lets you take HRE land without getting the unlawful territory malus

France easiest way to core Moscow, Wien and Berlin pls. Burgundy almost always rivalry France. It's better to become emp of hre or dismantle the hre?

Burgundy almost always rivalry you in 1.37
@jric6283Ай бұрын
You said you could curry favors to call Austria or Poland into war against Wolgast. Unless Austria lost the emperorship they won’t be able to help you in that war because they won’t join any offensive wars against princes of the HRE. Poland works tho, unless they somehow got emperor too

pro tip for beginners. heirs are bad. get the dynasty of the biggest country in europe when you are a christian and try to union them. Also royal marriage bohemia during interegnum and you can get your dynasty on their throne and PU them in the first 5 year of game.
