I bought a pair, and they turned out to be the bad magnetics without the shielding. The thing is, no sell actually shows the bottom of the base pad. It's like looking for a needly in a haystack. I think the alternative would be to just buy any pair that you can find and then add some sort of shielding. Has anyone tried this, and could give some suggestions?

The dimensions Thumbsticks thickness and the circle of motion are slightly different,any problems with the calibration ?

I can't find any of the joysticks with the copper ring, isn't there a way to buy the copper Rings, or copper foil or whatever it is and just put it in the base of the thumbsticks?

I'd really suggest buying the standard elite sticks from eBay for around $10. You'll want to look for sellers on any store showing the bottom of the magnet if they are not, more than likely they aren't protected.

hi there, these can be found in a number of areas including Amazon. Here's a quick link to eBay seller. You do want the ones with the 1698 part number as they do include the magnetic protection. @@FatalCorleone07 Elite controller joysticks are magnets due to their easy on/off feature. bottom of the joystick housing needs protection so the back LT button is not affected. If you take the cheaper route without the protection your controller will not work properly

They can if you modify the thumbstick bases to use the Elite ones.

@@user-yd9bp3hk2n The thumbsticks attach to the thumbstick module. The normal modules on Xbox controllers are not magnetic. To use magnetic thumbsticks, you have to upgrade the modules themselves to the Elite ones (you can usually find on Ebay). It all depends how much you want to customize your controller.

The option to use and size joystick and the quick change in and out is what attracts people to it.

@@SeasonedGaming i don't like it i feel I'm going to lose it. But i do want a outy curved out joystick with out it being magnetic can you tell me where i can get it? Also i did understand that but i don't understand the purpose of the d-pad being magnetic.
