20$ is looking like max what would people pay UNTIL game costs +80$. Nobody talks about this but annual gamepass generally priced around 3 AAA games if I remember right. 15$x12=180$ (3 60$) 17$x12=204$ (3 70$) 20$x12=240$ (3 80$ coming) I think AAA game launch prices will see an increase in coming months
@CmoIsDaNam3i3 күн бұрын
Greed is a serious problem in our industry. The fact that 80 dollars is even thing on the table is a problem. And I think its even more than that because I can easily see 80 dollars being a thing. Very few games really deserve that price tag. And even then its probably much for those games as well. :/
@halilsavas48083 күн бұрын
@@CmoIsDaNam3i greed is definetly one factor but I wouldn’t say it is the only one. Economy really gone to sh*t after Covid and costs skyrocketed with inflation. If you look up tech job’s salary increases you will understand what I mean and this affects more than some notice. It also increased the cost of Marketing, outsourcing, gadgets etc. salary increases didn’t happen all the people equally hence I can see why 80$ make some people think it doesn’t worth the price. Overall economy issue Edit: for example Sony stopped doing regional pricing in our country last month. Literally priced the games same as USA lol

Oo, Eternal Strands looks somewhat like Immortals: Fenyx Rising. I enjoyed that one. Sad it's almost certainly not getting a sequel because of poor sales (possibly due to launching as an EGS exclusive; I had to wait for it to come out on Steam...).

I know its called "Bioware" but I think many people will have a lot better time with this next dragon age game if everyone could just realize that its not actually bioware. its a diff company with a few people who happened to carry over. its the company that brought us such bangers as "Mass Effect: Andromeda" and the live service multiplayer smash hit, "Anthem".
@SeasonedGamingКүн бұрын
Yeah that's also very true. The company names remain, but the developers can be completely different. We'll see!

Great show as always. KAsante is fantastic as always. Regarding the Dragon Age discussion. DA:O is one of my favorite games of all time time. I replayed it multiple times to see how all the different choices affect the game. I didn't like the recent gameplay shown of DA:V. To me it looked more like a Sci-fi with the floating ring thing blasting prison like lights with a dude speaking through a megaphone. The demons design also looked out of place with all that neon light. Plus the combat didn't look great, but that could be because they were showing a level 1 character. Also they said you can't control your companions which is not a good start for me. In the end the most important thing is the story and choices you make. We won't know how good that is until we play it. I will definitely pick it up because of my love for DA:O, and I hope it surpasses my expectations.

Well, double comment because of Mr Asante. Agreed with Runckle, give the man a tie! even if he is largely misguided on his cloud rant. If cloud could be an *option* , I'd never be against it but Microsoft has over 30 years of experience in removing as much option as possible from their 'customers'. The matrix experience that he mentioned? Will not be possible if cloud providers and publishers have anything to say about it. And, to any console warriors who might be thinking that this is a one brand thing , just think about all Sony exclusives for all those 3rd party games, and mandatory psn account for single player games as a couple of recent examples. Sony would do the same thing if they're in the same position.

I played Diablo 4's campaign (GREAT story) and engaged with the Season of the Construct for a little while, but the endgame is just so repetitive in a way that 3 somehow never felt like, even though it pretty much is... So I dropped off and haven't gone back yet.

I just finished replaying Yakuza 0 and actually have Ace Attorney 1-3 loaded and ready to go on gamepass, so I will call Travis out if I don't feel it was worth my time. Also, hot take on our favorite game Last of Us Part 2: Yakuza 0 did a multiple protagonist story much better than Last of Us did, and they did it 6 years earlier. Last of Us 2 plays as two separate games where the characters tangentially cross over now and then and you get a chance to see everything that leads up to those moments from both sides. Yakuza 0 is much more thought out in that the two stories really seem like they have no relation to start, but it turns out you're following two protagonists into the same fight (maybe for different reasons). I think it says something that Kiryu/Majima have zero scenes together in Yakuza 0 and that tells a more cohesive story than Last of Us 2 where Ellie and Abbie share a good amount of screen time.

Spent mine yesterday running through Final Shape with my daughter. 10 year journey with her and I wouldn't have traded it for nothing even through the ups and downs.
