@@Soulcommander oh I live in Malaysia, got this website called Shopee, you can find almost anything from thumbs grip, silicone case for ds4, etc, cheap as hell i told you, with certain amount up to RM19 purchased ($5-7) you will get free shipping voucher and it sounds like a good deal, but you need to wait around 2-3 weeks to arrived in the country, then it depends on ur local courier to delivery in front of ur house😅😅😅but it worth it sometimes👍

I suggest not using a USB plug or laptop to charge your controllers because the amount of power that goes into the controllers may vary

You make a good point however a laptop is not going to put out more than 5 volts. The standard USB port, be it USB 1.1 or USB 2.0, delivers 5 volts of electricity and allows your connected device to draw 500 milliampere. As this is standardized among USB devices, any device that can be charged via USB is safe to plug in to your computer. The PS4 controller requires 5 volts and 800 milliamp so if the milliamp is under 800 it will just take longer to charge. If you have a charger that is 5 volt output and a thousand milliamp it's still safe to use on your PS4 controller. Because the PS4 controller is not going to draw more than 800 milliamp. Here's when you get into trouble when you have an adapter for one of the modern phones that is a quick charge, take a look at the USB charger. If it says 9 volt and whatever milliamp don't use it. @@slumpeddark1017 Not sure what you mean nothing happens? You mean to say nothing has happened yet? In theory the Quick charger should only allow quick charge compatible devices to draw a 9V charge however there are numerous reports of controllers being damaged by quick chargers thus the reason I can not recommend these to anyone.

You can keep it plugged into the stand however I would not have any power going to the controller.

Was your controller touchpad scratched? Mine after a two week use got some scratches, reason why I decided to stop using it, the clear plastic that holds them in place is the one to blame for this scratches, it's a cool charger but it has that flaw, let me know if it happened to anyone else, and if you found a fix to it would be awesome!

If your controller is not the standard controller that is made by Sony you will likely have a problem! If you have an original Sony controller it requires a little patience to plug it in. Do you have a young child I wouldn't advise them to try to do it. Otherwise it works perfectly with a standard Sony controller.

Yes I use a plug for a venom ps4 charging dock and the controllers charge faster

You want to make sure the USB adapter is rated for the right ma and voltage. I would not recommend a fast USB charger. DualShock 4 controller has a power rating of 5V 800ma stick with a USB adapter close to that rating. Anything lower would not be good for your battery and anything fast and higher could also damage your controller battery. In theory the charger should only allow quick charge compatible devices to draw a 9V charge however there are numerous reports of controllers being damaged by quick chargers. Avoid them. Stick with 5 volt 800-1000ma. adapter.

I got this as the controller wouldn't charge with a cable so placed it on the docking station red light shows as charging but on the controller itself no orange light i did press the ps button it flashed white stayed on for 2 seconds then switched off is my controller gossed

Hard to say bro. You definitely have a problem with your controller. It's very possible it's the conductive film. That seems to go bad from time to time. You'll have to do some testing. It's possible it could be your battery as well. Have you spilled anything on the controller?

Should I get a charging station? I usually just have my 2nd controller charging with a usb, while i play with my 1st controller then when it dies out I will switch it out for the 2nd controller then start charging the 1st controller and repeat

If your controller isn't lighting up I would start with a new USB cord you may have a short in it. If that doesn't work then it would be your controller that's the problem

No, there is no battery inside, it requires external power.

Nope... your controller is completely in charge of charging. This is just a delivery device to charge both at the same time.

This is for a USB plug. Not a wall plug. You will need a USB adapter or a computer or the PlayStation to plug it into.

In theory the Quick chargers should only allow quick charge compatible devices to draw a 9V charge however there are numerous reports of controllers being damaged by quick chargers. I would stick to the Ps4 USB output if you can not find an adapter that is close to being compatible.
