I personally think the backward compatibility for Xbox is down right insane, actually started to buy a lot of old OG Xbox and Xbox 360 games as most of them upscales perfectly to 4K. Also all Xbox One games work on the Xbox Series consoles. For example all Silent Hill games work fantastic, FF13 looks fantastic, Lost Odyssey lies in my backlog and is said to be one of the best RPG:s of all time. Also Game pass is also really nice. Game streaming also works much better. Also prefer the operating system over my PS4 Pro (not sure if it has changed for the PS5).

I have both. However, I myself have started playing mostly Xbox gamepass ultimate is way better than ps plus in my opinion. Plus, the backwards compatibility is great been playing a lot of the old school games like cod, ghost recon and battlefield.

I've been a PlayStation fan since day one. Last week I bought the Series X and I don't regret at all. First time in my life owning and playing XBOX. Best choice ever! The Game Pass is THE game changer and it gets better and better. Have fun with your new console when you get it!

Hi! I am a grownup man that have started rather late in gaming. To date I play CoD on my PC with an LG 27" OLED 165Hz monitor and a RTX 3080 Ti graphics card. I dont have many gaming friends. Should i move up/down to a console? Which one? I use an XBox One joystick. Thank you!

Xbox series X is awesome. Had a 360 sitting for years unused. Most of the games I can play on the series X, and they look better. The Xbox is extremely quiet, blends well into my room, and had zero performance issues. The PS5 looks like an aircon. "Bold" design.

If you like the PS exclusives I think a PS5 and a Series S is the combo of the generation. For me personally I’m fine with simply having a Series X. Basically all games I care to play are on both platforms anyway and the Xbox controller is superior. PS5 has more “next-gen” (now current) features sure but to someone like me it’s mostly a gimmick (I also don’t like that there’s a mic built into the controller, regardless of whether or not it’s muted). Xbox controllers are more comfortable, especially over longer periods of time. I also don’t mind the batteries but I do look forward to a more modern iteration where we have a built in battery. Ever since the disastrous Xbox One reveal the majority opinion on Xbox has truly been skewed. I get the exclusives argument but as a platform, I truly prefer Xbox. Hopefully the world starts to see it in the coming years as a good competitor.

I always buy both and i can say the difference is the marketing. Sony just does that part better. But i think ive always like what Xbox is doing more. They can have adaptive triggers all they want ill take quick resume over that any day of the week

If you like blockbuster third person action games go for the PS5. If you love the Xbox ecosystem go for the Xbox.

I had 2 Xbox one but got rid and kept my 360 I like listen to my music in background while playing the game.. just ordered Xbox one series x on amazon for $350 and gta 5 and 2k24 all for $408, with $150 gift card . $283.

Fantastic video. As an owner of both for years now, it’s a really hard choice now a days. PS5 was notoriously the king for single player games, with Xbox being on top for multiplayer. This landscape is changing over the next 2 years, and it won’t be as simple. The tools Xbox offers makes it feel more like a PC, in the way that you can do SO much with a single console, but it isn’t that flashy. PS5, to me, is more like MacOS. Sleek, intuitive, and premium, with some extra features exclusive to the platform. I wish I could play my PS5 more, but there is always something about the Xbox bringing me back.

Phil Spencer has stated earlier (can't remember which year) that all "Xbox exclusives" will be on both Xbox and Windows seeing as Microsoft owns both and the Xbox app is bundled in every Windows nowadays. I own a gaming PC so I have access to all Xbox games but I still bought the Series X since it's a nice and relatively compact gaming machine that shares the same subscription so you get games on both platforms with XGPU and many titles are "Xbox Play Anywhere" so when you buy them, you get both the Xbox and PC versions of the game. I like the flexibility and not having any restricted exclusives doesn't bother me as I've been a PC gamer all my life :) I just bought a hassle-free compact PC that has no constant window updates, rebooting, nvidia updates etc. and is more "plug and play" that I don't have to use a mouse and keyboard even when booting up games. Really enjoyed it so far! Highly recommended.

And the value you get for around 440€ (the price here) is simply insane. My PC costed me 1400€... I wouldn't buy another one of those for my living room setup since my PC is in another room. It just boils down to what mindset people have. For me, Xbox is a great companion to a PC because of saves and subscriptions syncing between systems.

PS5 for single player story games with amazing graphics. God of War and Spiderman series for examples. Xbox X for multi-player shooter games and energy efficiency (very important in Europe). Call of Duty, Halo, Apex Legends, Fortnight...etc.

Now I always do end up buying for cheap the PS and all it exclusives used of course. This is exactly wut I will also do this gens time around also. Half of the PS exclusive games I also own on my PS4 which I bought u guessed it after I bought my X Box 1 and I saved a boat load of luci!! At the end of a generation or wen the games for that gen actually stop being made is wen I make my PS purchase, this is the secret or the strategy!

Agree with everything you said except for the design. The PS5 is a huge trying-too-hard-to-look-futuristic abomination that screams “look at me” in any room. The glossy middle part is a huge turn off. The sides are not symmetrical. Sitting vertical won’t fit most TV consoles nicely and it looks even uglier horizontally. The entire thing looks cheap and out of place in my living room. *I think it looks like the cheap generic router given by my ISP but 5 times larger.

Go with ps5 because you can turn off crossplay and will only play with ps5 , that means no pc cheaters. Xbox won’t let you turn it off

Xbox controllers power 🔋 last longer. Xbox has more games incoming to its platform next year, aside from cheaper online subscription content and greater availability, plus quick resume for multiple games without having to pay for it and xbox anywhere too are the few extra things you may have forgotten 2 mention plus its actual faster cpu speed not ssd sadly. Honestly IMHO I only see 2 or 3 games in PS5 that interest me. So, for me, the choice is clear - XBox Series X. However, both are great in their own right and have pros and cons. X Box just has more pros than cons.

Everyone talks about Xbox series X's backward compatibility but i have a dozen or more games that won't play, sure you can play the Halos but that is pointless with the Master Chief Collection. I'm an Xbox fan i have been for years the Game Pass is a great feature for those to play games they might not normally play other than that nothing has changed.

I feel like both systems are hyped up. Not that big a leap from last gen consoles next gen will happen with ps5 pro. Right now games run at a low resoultion at 60fps thats not revolutionary

How do figure ps5 is more next gen. Xbox has dolbly vision gaming ps5 does not Xbox has quick resume ps5 does not Xbox support v sync and g sync ps5 does not. Xbox has more ban with 40 GB and can do full pc rgb ps5 can't bc it only has 32 GB of ban with. Xbox uses better mesh shaders. The only thing ps5 has is better last gen games but lets face it their old games

Reasons to buy an Xbox: 1. Controller (New model this year, Gyro, Haptic feedback, Haptic triggers, internal battery) 2. Backward compatibility/Emulation 3. Sleeker design 4. An actual internet broswer 5. Play anywhere, all devices, Same save spot 6. Gamepass (Day 1 releases) 7. More consumer friendly 8. Future titles: Fable, Elder Scrolls, etc... 9. Technically a more powerful console 10. Quick resume Reasons to own a PS5: 1. Exclusives 2. Controller (prefrence to some, I don't care for all the bells and whistles, especially in multiplayer games) 3. Higher player base (ability to shut off crossplay with Xbox and PC 4. Swappable faceplates 5. PS VR 2 That's all I got.

Well Xbox was my preferred platform in terms of console gaming. But now I think it's going to be PlayStation if Microsoft is truly going 3rd party and no longer wants to make Xbox consoles in the future. I have no loyalty to any brand or plastic box. I just want to be on a platform where things are healthy and vibrant and Xbox definitely hasn't been in that state for a decade now.

This nonsense of wich console is better it's for stupid people who have nothing else to do,for those wo can't afford both, choosing what to go with, depends on what u need,what do u enjoy to play, wich console makes u feels more comfortable ( this doesn't mean that u hate the other one or don't like it), and what is ur budget ,when u evaluate all of that then u can choose, and for those who can own both or they already own both ,if they start talking sht abt either of the two consoles then they aren't true gamers,what are u trying to be? Promote console? Or u want just to enjoy games like everyone ,most of the time it always some ps users( not all of them, others don't give a sht Abt this console war),cause Xbox users don't have that much arguments against ps users,so let everyone have fun with their console and enjoy their game,cause we know absolutely nothing abt the life of each other here and their interests in gaming . Hardware is a wash, online is a slight edge to Xbox, exclusives go to PlayStation, and the controller goes to Xbox. You really can’t lose either way so go with the console your friends are playing on.

The Xbox is showing its age much better than PS5. Game pass is the best deal in gaming. I have both and my PS5 is collecting dust right now. Stop trying to sell me on Spider Man cause im not a kid anymore lol. How can people really think these games are that good. Its the same thing over and over again. Dont get me started on the controllers. I dont care about adaptive trigger lol if its not making the game better so what. Ps5 controller is so uncomfortable its crazy, the battery life is awful. All that to say i love playing the Uncharted and TLOU games. But i think the best deal in gaming is by far the Series S and Game Pass. Ps5 looked good in the beginning but i Think Xbox is aging better.

why use a ps4 or xbox, pc is at least 1000x better, apart from some bad things, otherwise it would go to 9000x, better gameplay and being able to use mods, I really don't understand why the debate about which console is better when pc puts them all in the manhole, just facts 🤔🤔🤔

I agree with you, Arinze. I have been a gamer for many years. I have owned every system since the early 80s. I currently own all current gen consoles as well. Microsoft lovers will always revert to the specs or what companies they buy up. They need to start making better exclusive games. Definitely agree that Sony has them beat there. Nintendo has even got Microsoft beat in that department.
