Something I feel that's missing from the newer versions of Terraria are the constant wails of agony from an Elite in Hell. Definitely needs to come back imo

I totally forgot that you had to use a hammer to break furniture back in the day. It's super crazy to think about how using a pickaxe to break furniture in 1.2 was so revolutionary

I actually likes how 1.1 handled tools more, axes are more useful than very very early game due to being able to chop placed wood and hammer we’re actually useful for picking up important things like life crystals and furniture

i checked my steam account a little while back, turns out i originally bought terraria about a week after it dropped. i've literally owned the game for longer than king slime, vanity items, and potions have been in it.

As amazing the new hell biome background (and music, enemies, textures, etc) are, the old hell felt really sad, and the WoF felt more claustrophobic in a way.

new hell looks like generic evil fire lava pit satan hell, old hell while not crazy or anything, standa out, its really dark and has a sense of mystery and unknown fear surrounding it. Especially when it comes to the wall of flesh it really is the perfect boss for hell

Even something as simple as that shows how far terraria has come, Its weird to think I have been with it since its humble beginnings. Hell I remember when the sprites were ripped from final fantasy to act as place holders, I think that was before it was on steam.
