Wrong. Human judges are never called Elohim. Hebrew tells a different story. Read Deuteronomy 32 and Job.

Psalm 82 Explained Israel are the "gods" in Psalm 82, the "gods" are human NOT nonhuman meaning angels/spirit beings. Israel was unique from the pagan nations that surrounded them, Israel had the law of God, 10 commandment, prophets and a Levitical priesthood. Since Israel had the law of God, it put Israel in the position of being "gods," becuase God chose them, Israel was God's chosen people. They were chosen because of Christ. Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; John 10: 34-35 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken)," 1. >>>>"I said, “You are gods” >>>>>ONCE by the God (Father) in Psalm 82. Aspaph is the Author and Psalmist of Psalm 82. Prophets of the Old Testament like Asaph the "word of the Lord" would come to Prophets like Asaph. Prophets were the "Voice" of God. God (Father) would communicate His words through the prophets, God does that here in Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;">>>>>>>>Israel, Psalm 82 uses the word "all". This clearly is not about a bunch of watchers/super angels of a divine council. The Psalms were written to and for Israel. 2. SECOND time Jesus in John 10: 34 Repeats >>>> ‘I said, “You are gods”

sons of God of Genesis explained>>> "Many Generations" Deuteronomy 32 7 Remember the days of old; consider the years of many generations; ask your father, and he will show you, your elders, and they will tell you. 8 When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God. KEY words are "MANY GENERATIONS" in verse 7 this is all in CONTEXT. One Translation may use "sons of God" may another may use "children of Israel", We will focus on "sons of God". The sons of God are found in Genesis the years of Many Generations. Many people do not NOT recognize " The Years of MANY GENERATIONS" in verse 7, this is all in Context, when scripture was first written there were no chapter breaks and verse breaks. Where you find " The Years of MANY GENERATIONS" is the patriarchs/fathers of Genesis 5, 11, 25, and 47 are the sons of God, listed from Adam to Judah which is Genesis 5. What is posted is chapter and verse with the years of Many Generations that they lived. Just to look at the word "Generations" is found in Genesis 5:1 >>This is the book of the generations of Adam. When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God.>Genesis 11:10 These are the generations of Shem. When Shem was 100 years old, he fathered Arpachshad two years after the flood.

The sons of God are Sanctified, because of the animal sacrifice/bunrt offering presented. Angels have nothing to do with sanctification or being sanctified. Angels never have presented and animal sacrifice unto the Lord. Job sons of God, Explained, Not angels. Blameless and Upright are mentioned 3 times in the book of Job. Job 1: 1, 1: 8 and 2: 3. Blameless and Upright are words used to describe Job. KJV uses "Perfect" instead of Blameless. The word "Upright" means "Righteousness" or "Righteous". Job 1: 1 "There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was BLAMELESS and UPRIGHT, and one who feared God and shunned evil. Job 1: 8 "Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a BLAMELESS and UPRIGHT man, one who fears God and shuns evil?” Job 2: 3 " Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a BLAMELESS and UPRIGHT man, one who fears God and shuns evil? And still he holds fast to his integrity, although you incited Me against him, to destroy him without cause.” The word BLAMELESS connects to what Paul writes in Ephesians. Ephesians 1: 4-5 4 "just as He chose us in Him BEFORE the FOUNDATION of the WORLD, that we should be HOLY and without BLAME before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to ADOPTION as SONS by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will," Ephesians 1: 4-5 is a perfect fit with Job 1: 5-6. Paul in these verses is explaining qualifications of being HOLY (SANCTIFY) and without BLAME as well as ADOPTION of SONSHIP>>>>>sons of God. The "us" Paul is referring to are the ones of SONSHIP. This can also refer to the Children of God. Also since God choose "us" BEFORE the foundation of the World to be in Christ to be HOLY and BLAMELESS this should take a person to Genesis 1:1. Job presented animal sacrifices and burnt offerings unto the Lord God. Job 1: 5 "Job 1: 5 So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and SANCTIFY them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus Job did regularly. Job was RESPONSIBLE for his household and their sins, Even Adam was RESPONSIBLE for Eve in the Garden when SIN entered the World. Job being the head of the household/Patriarch it was his duty to offer and present the sacrifices to the Lord God. The animal sacrifices and burnt offering atoned for sin and sanctified Job's household. Sanctify means to make "Holy", just like what Paul describes in Ephesians 1: 4 "that we should be HOLY and without BLAME before Him in love." This also says this "He (God/Father) chose us in Him (Jesus/Son) BEFORE the FOUNDATION of the WORLD," what this means is BEFORE the creation of the World. Verse 5 of Ephesians 1 says that God "ADOPTION as SONS by Jesus Christ." What God had in mind is an "Adoption Plan" to Holy and Blameless BEFORE the earth was even created. This "Adoption Plan" points (Predestinates) to Jesus, so do the animal sacrifices and burnt offerings points (Predestinates) to Jesus. The animal sacrifices and burnt offerings foreshadow the Sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross. There is a blood covenant with shed blood between sinful man and Holy God. Today the Blood covenant that matters is with the Sacrifice of Jesus and the Blood He shed on the Cross. In the OT the Faithful were looking Forward to the Cross. Today the Faithful look back to the Cross. Job offered and presented these sacrifices "Regularly Job 1: 5">>>>>"For Job said, “It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus Job did regularly." Regularly means constant, definite pattern, accordingly, routinely or repeatedly. Since Job offered and presented these animal sacrifices and burnt offerings unto the Lord God, this leads into the next verse. Job 1: 6 "Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them." What is happening in Job 1: 6 is that Job is presenting a animal sacrifice and burnt offering unto the Lord God, The sons of God (Job and his household) are in the "Adopted Status" when they are "Presenting" themselves. The scene is on the earth and the realm of the earth. Some think this scene is in the 3rd heaven, that is not correct. Paul helps us on this as well. 2 Corinthians 12: 2-4 "I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows such a one was caught up to the third heaven. 3 And I know such a man whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows 4 how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter." The word heavens can be used to refer to different realms. Heaven can refer to the sky and the earth’s atmosphere, making it the "first heaven" (Deut. 11: 11, Psalm 104: 12, Isaiah 55: 10). Heaven can also refer to outer space, where the stars and planets are the "second heaven" (Psalm 8: 3, Isaiah 13: 10). Heaven can refer to God’s dwelling place, which is beyond the other 2 "heavens," a place known as the "third heaven" (Psalm 33: 13-14, Isaiah 66: 1, Matthew 6: 9, Hebrews 7: 26, Revelation 11: 19). With the conversation with Satan and God, the conversation was the "first heaven", while the sons of God (Job and his household) are in "Adopted Status" presenting themselves with animal sacrifices and burnt offerings. Even when Satan tempted Jesus it was in the realm of the earth found in Matthew 4: 1-11. What is really interesting with the book of Job is that Blameless and Upright are mentioned 3 times in the book of Job. Job 1: 1, 1: 8 and 2: 3.......so are "sons of God" mentioned 3 times in book of Job....Job 1: 6, Job 2: 1 and Job 38: 7. Something else to point out is that God is 3 persons Father, Son and Holy Spirit. So what it comes down with the Help of Paul in Ephesians 1: 4-5 is that the sons of God in the book of Job are in "Adopted Status", not an angelic status like so many are lead to believe. In Hebrew language the sons of God is "bene elohim" referring to the Adopted. This is also true for Genesis 6, because Genesis 5 list the head of households/Patriarchs from Adam to Noah and Noah's sons. The animal sacrifices and burnt offerings also displayed "Faith", "Obedience" and "Belief" towards the Lord God. These sons are credited "Righteousness" by their "Faith", "Obedience" and "Belief" towards the Lord God. A person can see "Sanctification" and "Justification" (Justification by Faith) with sons of God in "Adopted Status" in the OT and NT. "Glorification" is yet to happen for the "Adopted" sons of God, that happens when the sons receive a "Glorified" body, which is part of the inheritance. Sanctification, Justification and Glorification are Supernatural Realities of the Lord God.

Youve admitted the use of the hebrew term elohim, which clewrly means disembodied spirit.. you didnt exegete the text. You spent a lot of time talking about aocial justice and things but never explained your burden of proof which is.. elohim =disembodied spirits, not early men human judeges that will now "die like men" which funny enough that has always been what men do.. they die... like.. other.. men... HELP MAKE IT MAKE SINCE. im generally in line with all that you teach from scripture and can often if not each and every time see your delicate comlex way of explaining your point and in this one video.. you seemed to run from the topic at hand.. it broke my heart.. between mike and you he seems to have no problem going right on through the text expaining it just fine. And it actually makes perfect since. Thats not even getting inot enoch..

TO ALL HEISERITES THAT VIEW THIS VIDEO...READ THIS... Heiser was a blind guide. He was correct in God/Elohim capital "G" and gods/elohim lower case "g" but his application was all wrong. His book the unseen realm falls apart in the first few paragraphs. From Heiser's Chapter 1 Unseen Realm "One such moment in my own life-the catalyst behind this book-came on a Sunday morning in church while I was in graduate school. I was chatting with a friend who, like me, was working on a PhD in Hebrew studies, killing a few minutes before the service started. I don’t recall much of the conversation, though I’m sure it was something about Old Testament theology. But I’ll never forget how it ended. My friend handed me his Hebrew Bible, open to Psalm 82 He said simply, “Here, read that … look at it closely.” The first verse hit me like a bolt of lightning: Psalm 82:1 God stands in the divine assembly; he administers judgment in the midst of the gods I’ve indicated the Hebrew wording that caught my eye and put my heart in my throat. The word elohim occurs twice in this short verse. Other than the covenant name, Yahweh, it’s the most common word in the Old Testament for God. And the first use of the word in this verse worked fine. But since I knew my Hebrew grammar, I saw immediately that the second instance needed to be translated as plural. There it was, plain as day: The God of the Old Testament was part of an assembly-a pantheon-of other gods." >>>>Okay this is from Heiser’s book the “Unseen Realm” Chapter 1 in his opening of this book. Let’s look at the word “pantheon”, this one word changes everything about Heiser’s theory. Heiser’s view of pantheon of other gods is spiritual/non-human/angelic, what most people do not know is that the word pantheon has a dual meaning, so it is not just pantheon spiritual gods. Let’s look at dictionary definiton for the word “pantheon” 1) a group of particularly respected, famous, or important people: somewhat formal : a group of people who are famous or important "the pantheon of the all-time greats" example: a building in which the illustrious dead of a nation are buried or honoured. 2) all the gods of a people or religion collectively: the gods of a particular country or group of people "the deities of the Hindu pantheon" (especially in ancient Greece and Rome) a temple dedicated to all the gods. So with the definition can apply to both 1) people and 2)pagan gods. What Heiser did when it came to Psalm 82, he applied the pagan god (elohim) meaning to the pantheon, which is the second use of the word pantheon, this is where he error's from the first chapter in his book the unseen realm. What Heiser should have done is apply the “FIRST” meaning of the word pantheon to the gods/elohim in Psalm 82, which would be people. When a person applies the “FIRST” meaning Israel now fits in Psalm 82 as the gods/elohim. Israel is Jacob’s decendents made up of 12 tribes. Psalm 82 is totally about Israel (Jacob’s decendents). Israel is the “Chosen People” of God in that time period, Israel is important because Jesus Christ, the Messiah would come through that people group, Jesus came from the tribe of Judah, Judah is how we get the term “Jew” from. So the pantheon of gods/elohim would be Israel all of Israel, which would consist of people that are Judges, Rulers, Kings, Elders and even the common Israelite person.>>"The Chosen People" So when a person Pairs up Psalm 82 and John 10 Israel, Jacob's decendents/12 tribes makes more sense. Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;>>>>>>Israel

I've always had a hard time with Micheal S Heiser's teaching because it is supported by Psalm 82 and Deuteronomy 32 and Heiser then recontextualizes any mention of "son(s) of God" "hosts" in scripture to mean what he thinks it means. After listening to a bit of the unseen realm documentary it almost seems that Heiser is an open theist, or that God doesn't know exhaustively the future. Thanks for posting this video, I haven't listened to James White for very long but he seems to have his head on straight on a great number of things and I was hoping a video like this existed. Thanks.

This is not a coherent explanation of Psalm 82. Dr. White surely knows that human judges are never referred to as elohim (gods) or b’nei elohim (sons of God) anywhere in the OT. Dr. Heiser gives a coherent explanation of this Psalm.

Actually Mr. White and Mr. Heiser leave out Jesus in the explanation, both are in ERROR, neither of them fulfill the words of the OT in the NT. At least Mr. White says the gods/elohim are human, where Mr. Heiser was in some kind of fantasy with his teaching. Jesus holds the answer of the "gods" of Psalm 82 in John 10. Reason why Jesus fulfills the words of the prophets in the OT in the NT. Jesus fullfills the words of the OT in the NT. Depends if a person beleives in the Trinity. Israel are the "gods" in Psalm 82, the "gods/elohim" are human NOT nonhuman like this Heiser guy promoted. Israel was unique from the pagan nations that surrounded them, Israel had the law of God, 10 commandment, prophets and a Levitical priesthood. Since Israel had the law of God, it put Israel in the position of being "gods," becuase God chose them, Israel was God's chosen people. PLUS Jesus the Messiah/Son of God is to come thru those chosen People. Doesn't matter what White knows. He is driven by apologetics and does not read or know modern scholarship. When one disagrees with him he poisons the well, then erects a strawman, then repeats his 'argument' again like he has done for 40 years. He is not an honest person nor does he have any integrity

At least James tells us that the gods are human, you must get your information from Mr. Heiser. Heiser was a false teacher on Psalm 82, he thought the gods were a bunch of watchers/angles of a divine council. The divine council/gods is Israel. @@bradleyperry1735 I posted a better explanation on Psalm 82 for you, hope you read it and helps out your understanding of Psalm 82. Talking about other "gods" referring to Idolatry, it all points to the god of this world. Satan masquerades Loooking at the"gods" of Deuteronomy 32 17 are the sons of god of a divine council which is Promoted. A person has to include and expalin Satan with these Idolatrous gods 32 :17 They sacrificed to false gods, which are not God- gods they had not known, gods that recently appeared, gods your ancestors did not fear. Who these "gods" are is just one god who is >>>>>the god of this world, who masquerades>>>Satan. 2 Corinthians 4:4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. The god of this world is Satan. 2 Corinthians 11:14 (ESV) And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. (NIV) And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. What Satan does using both translations is what Satan just masquerades as different pagan gods. Satan can transform and masquerade as the sun god, molech, mary in Catholicism, Baal, gods of mythology like Zeus ...ect. So the source of all these so called "gods" are not the sons of God (angels) which some promote, it comes down to the god of the world who is Satan, this is all about false gods of Idolatry and are made with human hands. Scripture is clear that Baal, Baal-zebu, Beelzebub and Satan are all connected. Beelzebub is the Greek form of the name Baal-zebub, a pagan Philistine god worshiped in the ancient Philistine city of Ekron during the Old Testament times. It is a term signifying “the lord of flies” (2 Kings 1:2). Archaeological excavations at ancient Philistine sites have uncovered golden images of flies. After the time of the Philistines, the Jews changed the name to “Beelzeboul,” as used in the Greek New Testament, meaning “lord of dung.” This name referenced the god of the fly that was worshiped to obtain deliverance from the injuries of that insect. Some biblical scholars believe Beelzebub was also known as the “god of filth,” which later became a name of bitter scorn in the mouth of the Pharisees. As a result, Beelzebub was a particularly contemptible deity, and his name was used by the Jews as an epithet for Satan. The word has two parts: Baal, which was the name for the Canaanite fertility gods in the Old Testament; and Zebul, which means “exalted dwelling.” Putting the two parts together, they formed a name for Satan himself, the prince of demons. This term was first used by the Pharisees in describing Jesus in Matthew 10:24-25. Earlier, they had accused Jesus of casting “out the demons by the ruler of the demons” (Matthew 9:34), referencing Beelzebul (Mark 3:22; Matthew 12:24). In Matthew 12:22 Jesus healed a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute. As a result, “all the people were astonished and said, ‘Could this be the Son of David?’ But when the Pharisees heard this, they denied that this could be a work of God, but instead declared: ‘It is only by Beelzebub, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons’” (Matthew 12:23-24). In this context they are denying Jesus and giving credit to Satan. Revelation 12:9 NKJV 9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Satan has always done this, he decieves the whole world, even Christians.

A person will forever reamin clueless if a person leaves out Jesus. Hebrew is one thing if understood properly. Context is king. At least James White teaches the gods/elohim are human, where most false teachers teach the gods/elohim are non human or misuse the meaning of gods/elohim. Jesus holds the answer of the gods/elohim of Psalm 82 in John 10. Israel are the "gods" in Psalm 82, the "gods" are human NOT nonhuman meaning angels/spirit beings. The gods/elohim are Israel. Israel was unique from the pagan nations that surrounded them, Israel had the law of God, 10 commandment, prophets and a Levitical priesthood. Since Israel had the law of God, it put Israel in the position of being "gods," (elohim), because God chose them, Israel was God's chosen people. They were chosen because of Christ. Christ would come into the world through Jacob's descendents (Israel>>>Tribe of Judah) Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; John 10: 34-35 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken)," 1. >>>>"I said, “You are gods” >>>>>ONCE by the God (Father) in Psalm 82. SECOND time Jesus in John 10: 34 Repeats >>>> ‘I said, “You are gods” >>> Exodus 4:22 You are to say to Pharaoh, ‘This is what the Lord says: “Israel is my firstborn son." If you know your bible Jacob is Israel and there would be 12 sons borns to Jacob, which make up the 12 tribes of Israel. When a person reads Psalm 82:6 when it mentions "sons" it is referring to the 12 tribes of Israel in the physical world. In reality what a person can get from scripture is that Jesus tells us who the "gods/elohim" are in Psalm 82 when we read John 10 34-35. Jesus is the One who fulfills the words of the prophets from the OT in the NT, that is why Jesus REPEATED the exact words " I said, “You are gods, from Psalm 82 (God/Father) in John 10 (God/Son). The gods/elohim/divine council in Psalm 82 are not disembodied spirits, angelic or nonhuman spirit beings, they are Israel, all of Israel (Jacob's descendents) would be human, which includes judges, elders, rulers, kings, and the common Isrealite citizen.

What Jesus did to Psalms 82 is exactly how God still works today. Particularly, through preachers who are opened to the leadership of his Holy Spirit. Psalms 82 is clearly talking about the Divine Council that exists in heaven. Jesus takes the truth of a revelation of the throne room and tells the Pharisees that it applies to them and he explains how it applies to them. It doesn't just applies to Jewish religious leaders of the 1st century, but it applies to the church today. Psalms 82 is understood in Hebrew scholarly thought as a Psalm about Melchizedek. A perfect example of "ye are gods" in reverse. The Melchizedek of Genesis is a historical figure who lived and reigned in Salem during Abraham's time, but every line of Melchizedek's story after his human revelation to history is all about a spiritual, messianic figure who is God.

No your comment is incorrect, I',m thinking you get your thoughts from Michael Heiser, Heiser was a FALSE teacher. At least James White says gods/elohim are human. I'll help you out.

What an odd translation: elohim > rulers The LXX reads θεοὺς/θεοί at Psalm 82:1 and 82:6 respectively. Either theos can also mean human ruler, or the Septuagint translators disagree with White.

James White is actually very accurate with his expalnation, what most leave out is the prophtet Asaph and Jesus. Have to remember Jesus Fulfilles Old Testament writings in the New Testament. The Jews had the Law and the Prophets. Have to remember the "Job Description" of prophets in the Old Testament. Most people are even unaware of who wrote Psalm 82. Asaph the prophet wrote Psam 82 as well as other Psalms 50, 73-81 and 83. Asaph the Prophet writes ESV Psalm 82: 1 "God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: Psalm 82:6 - “I said, you are gods.” Hebrew word for God is Elohim, when a person read it in the original Hebrew, and you will see the difference between Yahweh as God/Elohim above all Elohim and the council itself as a lower classification of gods/elohim. Jesus answers the lower classification of elohim (gods) in John 10: 34 35. Jesus is the "word" that became Flesh John 1:1, In the Old the Testament the "word" of God was given to prophets, like Asaph who wrote Psalm 82. The "word" was Incarnate in Jesus in the New Testament. John the Disciple/Apsotle writes, "Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), The lower class of elohim (gods) in Psalm 82 are human NOT non human/angels like Heiser promotes. WHY because the word of the Lord came to Prophets, God Spoke thru Prophets to the nation of Israel/Jews (Human). The Jews were also given the Law and had the Prophets. The Jews are Gods's CHOSEN people so the Messiah can come into the world thru them. NO nonhuman/angel is ever referred to as a Prophet in scripture or were given the Law, Of course angels are messengers in scripture, but that is it. The Law and Holy Scriptures were given to the nation of Israel/Jews NOT to non humans/angels. How God takes His place in the divine council in Psalm 82 is by the Prophet Asaph who was given the "word of the Lord" also who wrote Psalm 82 and by the Law which was given to the Nation of Israel. What is KEY is that a Prophet of God like Asaph carried and handled the words of the Lord God, this is the "Job Description" of a prophet in the Old Testament. Prophets were the VOICE of God that is why it is IMPORTANT that Jesus Repeats, Quoates and Fulfills these words...... Psalm 82:6 - “I said, you are gods.” ........John 10: 34-35 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken)," Notice there is a lot happening with the words Jesus uses John 10 1. Verse 34, Jesus says....... "Is it not written in your law">>>>>This tells us that Jesus is addressing Humans (Pharisees/Rulers/Jews) in John 10. The Jews/nation of Israel was given the Law, which would be the Law of Moses found in the Old Testament. 2. Verse 34, Jesus says...... "I said" "You are gods". What the "I said" is, is a declaration of Jesus as God. The "I said" is not different than an "I am" declaration", Jesus is God and is the Son of God. Another point with the "I said" of Jesus is that He is REPEATING this from the Old Testament which is found in Psalm 82, this is not just a mere qoute of Jesus, but an REPEAT of what God spoke thru the prophet Asaph........... Psalm 82: 1 "God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: Psalm 82:6 - “I said, you are gods.” Since Jesus is God and is addressing HUMANS in John 10 and is REPEATING what God said when He spoke thru the prophet Asaph in Psalm 82, that means the "gods/elohim" in Psalm 82 are also HUMAN (Judges.Rulers.Jews), Jesus Literally answers the question of the "gods/elohim" in Psalm 82. NOTE: ESV uses "divine council" other translations use "congregation of the mighty" or "great assembly", this is HUMAN. 3. Verse 35. "If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),"....Here again "gods" is used which refer to Humans (Judges/Pharisees/Rulers/Jews). Notice the text also says..."to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), This again goes back to the Old Testament, because God would speak thru prophets in the Old Testament, like Asaph who wrote Psalm 82. Asaph was the "Voice" of God to the Jews, like all prophets in the Old Testament are the "Voice" of God. 4. So when a person puts the "gods/elohim" in Psalm 82 and who God is adresseing thru the prophet Asaph>>>>>>>Psalm 82: 1 "God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: Psalm 82:6 - “I said, you are gods.” Now you apply Jesus and the "gods" He is adressing in John 10>>>>>>>John 10: 34-35 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),"...........A person can CLEARLY see that the "gods/elohim" are HUMAN in both Psalm 82 and John 10. God Inspires and Lifts up Prophets in the Old Testament so Jesus can FULFILL what is written and spoken in the Old Testament Fulfilled by Jesus in the New Testament. Jesus holds the answer of the "gods" (lower class elohim/gods), they are human in both Psalm 82 and John 10. To address to "die like men" In Psalm 82: 7 is Referring to those bad elders, rulers, leaders or judges within the nation of Israel that have High Authority, they favor the wicked and judge unjustly, they do not follow through with their responsibilities, duties, and do not represent God or the law, these High Officials are just men, they have High Rank so they will die like men. They are human not divine beings. In Numbers 11: 16 “So the LORD said to Moses: “Gather to Me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people and officers over them; bring them to the tabernacle of meeting, that they may stand there with you.” Psalm 82: 2-5 2 “How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah 3 Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. 4 Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.” 5 They have neither knowledge nor understanding, they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken. What is going on in the passage is that the nation of Israel (Jews) would have foreigners (people from non Jewish nation) or to call them Gentiles coming into the nation of Israel. The Jewish people and even Jewish Elders were not living up to taking care of these foreigners. The foreigners probably were in poverty, were poor and needed to be delivered from pagan gods and Idolatry, the nation of Israel was NOT representing the True God. When a person reads Psalm 82: 2 - 5, that makes more sense that HUMANS (Jews) are being scolded rather than angels/non human beings. God is on the side of Justice in defending the weak and fatherless as well as rescueing the weak and needy. God has ALWAYS set up Governements in the world not just with in the Nation of Israel, Romans 13: 1 "Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God."

@Sons of Thunder a brief response to a few of your points. 1. I don't think anyone is arguing that Psalm 82 was not in the Hebrew cannon 2. Maybe I'm overlooking something subtle here, but how do you distinguish between quoting someone and REPEATING what they said? 3. You seemingly fail to give the word "them" (John 10:35) consideration in your exegesis. Jesus is no longer quoting (or REPEATING) Psalm 82. He is talking directly with His interlocutors. In doing so he does not say, "you", but rather, "them," distancing his hearers from the group referred to in Psalm 82. Jesus shows a willingness to apply Scripture directly to His audience in Matthew 22:31 where He uses a 2nd person pronoun saying, "Have you not read what was spoken to YOU..."(emphasis mine). Here by contrast, Jesus's says "the Word of God came" to "them." 4. I have no issues with Asaph as a Prophet. In fact, as a Prophet, he could have been told of the events of God's heavenly council or even witnessed the proceedings himself through a vision. I do have a question for you about your understanding of the phrase "die like men." In your interpretation, how is this a punishment for wicked judges who actually are men over against judges who are held up as examples of righteous behavior? Didn't they all die like men? Job is canon. A portion of 1 Enoch is recognized in Jude as prophecy. The weight of exegesis lies in favor of a heavenly council. The translators of the Septuaging seemingly agree.

@@ArchDLuxe Are you a Christian? Do you beleive in the Trinity/Godhead? I'll say this you are a complete idiot for beleiving Heiser. You have been hoaxed and deceived. You say>>>2. Maybe I'm overlooking something subtle here, but how do you distinguish between quoting someone and REPEATING what they said? Has to do with the "I said you are gods" of Psalm 82 and John 10. Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; >>>>(God/Father speaking through prophet Asaph) John 10: 34-35 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your (Jacob/Israel) law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’>>>Jesus (Son, repeats God/Father said through prophet Asaph) 35 If He called them (Israel) gods (getting back to Psalm 82), to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),">>>>>Jesus REPEATING the exact words "I said you are gods" of Psalm 82 and John 10. Here a person can see there is ONE "I said" in Psalm 82 verse 6 and ONE "I said" in John 10 verse 34. A person has to pair up the "I said" statements that in in both the OT text and NT text. Pairiing up Both "I said" statements shows that humans are being addressed in both Psalm 82 and John 10. So the "gods" are Human. You say>>> 3. You seemingly fail to give the word "them" (John 10:35) consideration in your exegesis. Jesus is no longer quoting (or REPEATING) Psalm 82. He is talking directly with His interlocutors. The "Them" are who was given the law,>>>>> Verse 35 “Is it not written in your law,:>>>>>>Israel (Jacob's descndents, 12 tribes and the 12 tibes descendents) was given the law (law of Moses). That was clearly mentioned in the comment. The word "them" is referring to the Israel (Jacob's) 12 sons which would be the 12 tribes (descendents) of Israel. These descendents are Human, Heiser's false theory opposes Jesus, meaning Heiser would be an anti-Christ. You say>>>>4. I have no issues with Asaph as a Prophet. In fact, as a Prophet, he could have been told of the events of God's heavenly council or even witnessed the proceedings himself through a vision. Okay your respoins is 50/50. In the Text there is no vision of a hevanely council. A heavenly council of What? Where in scripture was a heavenly council given the law and "to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken)," A heavenly council of super angels or spirit beings, that makes no sense. Again you have to apply the "I said" of Jesus (Son) in John 10 refernencing His Father's "I said" in Pslam 82. A person Has to pair the TWO "I said" together. The Son Repeats the "I said". Jesus is God in John 10 claiming to be the Son of God. The Father spoke through the Prophet Asaph in Psalm 82. Prophets were the "Voice" of God. Prophets handled and carried the words of the Lord God. God put His word in Prophets in the OT, so the Son (Jesus) would fulfill those words. YOU do not understand that!!!! The Poprhet Asaph NEVER saw a vsion in heaven!!!! You say>>>>I do have a question for you about your understanding of the phrase "die like men." In your interpretation, how is this a punishment for wicked judges who actually are men over against judges who are held up as examples of righteous behavior? Didn't they all die like men? The sons of God in Job 1: 4-6 Expalined!! A person has to use CONTEXT....Context is King. 4 His sons used to go and hold a feast in the house of each one on his day, and they would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them. 5 And when the days of the feast had run their course, Job would send and consecrate (SANCTIFY) them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my children have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus Job did continually. 6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. When Job presented the animal sacrifice/burnt offering (Job 1:5) this was in the days (Plural) of Feasting. There are Two "DAYS" mentioned in the days of feasting found in Job 1: 4 and Job 1: 13 and there are also Two "DAYS" when the sons of God presented themselves Job 1: 6 and Job 2: 1. Job 1:4 " And his sons would go and feast houses, each on his DAY, and would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them Job1: 6 "Now there was a DAY when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. Job 1: 13 " Now there was a DAY when his sons and daughters eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house;" >>>>>the sons and daughters are Jobs, his household. Job 2: 1 "Again there was a DAY when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord. Job 1:5 So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and consecrate (SANCTIFY) them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus Job did regularly. The proper interpretation is pairing together Job 1: 4 with Job 1: 6 and pairing together Job 1: 13 with Job 2: 1, keeping Job 1: 5 in mind and applying that thought to with the verses that are paired together. Basically what happened is in Job 1 :4 and Job 1: 13 the feasting would be taking place, then the following day Job 1: 6 and Job 2: 1 early in the morning Job would present the animal sacrifice/burnt offering unto the Lord God. Job is being made Holy as well as his Household (wife, sons, daughters), because of the sacrifice (burnt offering), sanctification, atonement and shed blood of the sacrifice, this brings Job's Household into a position of "Adoption", hence forth sons of God are explained in Job 1:6 and Job 2: 1 which happened the following day. This all took place during the days of feasting. Job 1: 4 "and his sons would go and feast houses, each on his day, and would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them." Verse tells us the days of Feasting each had there own day and there were probably 7 days of Feasting or could be 8 days of Feasting with Job because the Jews had 8 Feast days, 7 is more likely, because Job had 7 sons. Job was not a Jew, he was a Patriarch/head of the household and lived before the Jews and the Law was given. In the context given there are 4 separate DAYS mentioned in the text with in the 7 or 8 DAYS of Feasting. My view overall that Job's children were predestidated to Christ, since they were Concecrated/Sanctified (Made Holy), meaning the Soul. Have to apply the Context and which means applying the burnt offerings/animal sacrifice. The sons of God are clearly Job and his household.....This is all a fore shadowing of the Complete Sacrifice and Promise of Jesus on the Cross. Also to note like it says in Romans the wages of sin is death, Jesus made the final payment for sin with his death, but before the death of Jesus and before the Law and Israel, people like Job a Patriarch would offer death unto the Lord God for sins. Like it says fpr Job's children. The conversation between God and Satan is in the spiritual realm while Job and his household are in the material/earthly realm. Has to do with Sanctification, Justification and Glorification. Of course the Glorification is future since the soul is atoned for a future Glorified body. These souls of the OT, like Job and his household. Job had to continually offer sacrifices unto the Lord God, just like all of the OT sacrifices even the nation of Israel with the Levitcal priesthood offered sacrifices with shed blood, this was the old covenant with the blood of animals. These sacrifices were only good until the next sacrifice was offered. Hebrews 8: 5-6 5 They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle: “See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.” 6 But in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, since the new covenant is established on better promises. Looking at Job since he was a father/patirarch he is serving as a priest and offerings burnt offerings/animal sacrifices unto the Lord God for the sins of his household, which is a shadow and fore shadowing of Jesus who is the true High Priest in Heaven and the heavenly places. All these animal sacrifices are with the shed blood of animals under the Old Covenant ot the animal sacrifices. This is all in association, relationship and identity with Jesus the High Priest is the Son of God, so natually the patriarchs/fathers like Job (household) are given the status to be called sons of God. Angels, watchers, fallen angels or any kind of spiritual beings of a so called divine council of super angels NEVER were given priestly duties and offered burnt offerings/animal sacrifices unto the Lord God. The same is true with the nation of Israel, Israel had a Levitical preisthood with animal sacrifices, a day of atonement, passover and ect... under the Old Covenant with the blood of an animal like a lamb, bull or goat, which point to Jesus as High Priest and the New Covenant in His Blood which He shed on the Cross and making the final payment for sin. Israel had a tabernacle and later a temple which is mentioned in Hebrews 8: 5-6. The patriarchs like Job never had a tabernacle or a temple, but they did offer animal sacrifices like the Levitical preisthood. Explaining sons of Israel. Exodus 4:22 says "Then you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says the Lord, Israel is my firstborn son". God is speaking to Moses in this passage, also this is another book of Torah. The passage of scripture of the name change for Jacob to Israel Genesis 32:28 "Then he said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed.” Israel (Jacob) had 12 sons which would be 12 tirbes with Many Generations. Getting back to Exodus 4:22 says "Then you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says the Lord, Israel is my firstborn son". Since Israel was the "firstborn son" to the Lord God, which would means Israel/Jacobs offspring would be "sons of God" or also to say "children of Israel" The twelve tribes are as follows: Reuben, Simeon, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Benjamin, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Ephraim and Manasseh. See how Many Generations (Deut. 32: 7-8) came from Isreal (Jacob). All the animal sacrifices is a offered by earthly priests (mediators) like Job, Noah, Abraham, patriarchs and Israels Levitical priesthood is just a model and a foreshadowing of Jesus and His role of High Priest, which is a better sacrifice and His shed blood as the True Mediator between God and man. Jesus on the Cross made the FINAL PAYMENT for sin and the FINAL SACRIFICE. This is why it mentions sons of God in Job, this is all tied into the Sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross, who is the Son of God. There would be NO sons of God mentioned in both OT and NT without a Sacrifice and Shed blood offered unto the Lord God for the payment of sin and atonement for the soul. To call sons of God angels, watchers, fallen angels or a so called members of a divine council made up of a bunch of non human spirit beings/superangels in the OT is actually blasphemous against Jesus (High Priest) and the Cross, as well as how God dealt with sin of the Individual in the Bible.

@Sons_of_Thunder. Wild stuff, dude. So Satan was one Job's sons (1:6)? Also, if Job and sons were present when the conversation between Satan and God takes place, why does he spend a lot of the book pondering the reason this is happening to him and his fam? Classic example of destroying the text for your tradition. Eisegesis lvl 100

PART 1) The word Nephilim appears Twice in the Bible depending on the translation first in Genesis 6:4 used in a position of worship and adoration (to fall, lie prostrate, and cast down) and then Numbers 13: 33 as Bullies and Tyrants. There are TWO uses for the word Nephilim (OT Hebrew). Just like the word Love (NT GREEK) can be used as Agape, Eros, Philia, and Storge. Strong's Concordance for Nephilim is H5303 and is derived from the word Nephal is H5307. Nephilim definition is "giants," name of two peoples, one before the flood and one after the flood. Nephilim, a Hebrew word meaning 'those who have fallen' or 'the fallen ones', translated into Greek as gigantez, gigantes, or 'giants'. Use of the word Nephilim/Giants probably just refers to people living long life span or to say a longivity of life, many years. This is all in the Context of Genesis 5 and 6. Looking at the Genesis account of the Giants/Nephilim, with using both Hebrew and Greek there is more than one meaning or use of the words nephilim and giants. There is a DOUBLE meaning, because of Hebrew and Greek. Let's look at the uses of the word Nephilim/Giants ...Use # 1 for Nephilim/Giants. Patriarchs worshiped and presented animal sacrifices/burnt offerings unto the Lord: Job 1: 20 "Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he FELL to the ground and worshiped." The word "FELL" in Job 1: 20 when translated to Hebrew is the word Naphal. Hebrew use is the Nephilim would fall (Naphal) to the ground like Job 1: 20 mentions, so it would be in a state of worship, probably on their knees. In Genesis 6:4 the Nephilim are in a position of worship or falling to the ground and worshiping, The Nephilim is a word that describes Genesis 5 who are the faithful, they would fall to the ground in a state of worship while presenting the animal sacrifice/Burnt offering. Man has twisted the meaning of the word and changed the meaning of the word "Nephilim" to some a giant form of hybrid. That is how deception works and many are mislead and deceived. By twisting and changing the word Nephilim which is a state of worship towards God, it is now a word that takes away the worship to God and how man worshiped and was presented before God in that day or time period. Presenting animal sacrifices/burnt offerings were probably handed down from father to son, starting with Abel, after Abel's murder, then Seth, Genesis 4: 26 To Seth also a son was born, and he called his name Enosh. At that time people began to call upon the name of the Lord." Calling on the name of the Lord would be presenting a sacrifice unto the Lord. Fast forward to Noah and his sacrifice Genesis 8:20 "Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and took some of every clean animal and some of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar." The FAITHFUL presented animal sacrifices to the Lord and also Called on the name of the Lord. Interesting how this forshadows Christ, Jesus is thje FAITHFUL servant to sacrifice Himself on the Cross and the Church in Greek ( Ekklēsia) which means "Called out ones". The called out ones are Children of the Promise in both OT and NT>>>sons of God

.part 2) ..Use # 3 Looking at Numbers 13 and 14>> Numbers 13: 31-33 “ But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.” 32 And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. 33 There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.” What these spies did is found verse 32. These spies gave Israel a “bad” report. The word “bad” can also be translated as “evil” in other translations. The point is the word “bad”. The word bad means poor in quality, not correct, inaccurate, incorrect, faulty, mischievous, poor, ect. The word "evil" means morally wrong or bad, immoral, wicked, harm, mischief, cause harm. Basicly the spies LIED about the report they gave, meaning that they lied about Anak’s decencendants being Giants (Nephilim) and that they ( the spies) looked like grasshoppers. It is a false and inaccurate report about the land, this land is the Promised land.. There is no giants or nephilim like some are lead to believe. This evil or bad report the spies told, made Israel complain and murmur against God, because the report put fear in Israel and made Israel not wanting to go into the Promised Land, this made God upset and slandered God. What did God do with the spies that gave this bad report or false report, it is found in Numbers 14: 36 and 37. Numbers 14: 36 & 37 “ Now the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land, who returned and made all the congregation complain against him by bringing a bad report of the land, 37 those very men who brought the evil report about the land, died by the plague before the LORD.” The “bad” or “evil” report meaning false, the LORD struck them down with a plague. The spies Lied about the report. There were NO GIANTS. Satan's seed of Lying was in these spies. Notice in verse 36 "bad report" and in verse 37 "evil report" is used so this wickedness and malicious of the spies is really emphasized. Some translations instead of using "bad report" or "evil report" use "spreading false rumors". The KJV uses the word "slander". Even using Numbers 14:6-9 Caleb and Joshua were among those that spied on the land. They gave a good report saying the land flowed with milk and honey. Caleb and Joshua said NOTHING about Giants (Nephilim). God spared Caleb and Joshua, they were not struck down by a plaque. The spies that told an evil report were telling a lie and did not want to go into the land. Most people do not realize or take notice to Numbers 14. Interesting when most people use Numbers 13: 33 for this angel view for the Giants (Nephilim) and looked like grasshoppers are falling into the faults of the report the spies told. The report the spies told is misleading. Most people do not take notice to the rest of the scripture. Think of the story the spies told as a "Fish Story", just a overly exaggerated story with no truth. How the spies used the word giant in verse 33 would be bullies or tyrants, but the bad report or to say the lie they told about these Giants (Nephilim) NEVER existed. Caleb and Joshua never gave a report like that, and Caleb and Joshua were with the spies. The use of the word Giants/Nephilim in Numbers 13: 33 would mean bullies or tyrants, but since this is a misleading report that the spies gave would be under FALSE PRETENSES.

Origins of the Nephilim/Giants and sons of God come from Mythology Origin #1 One origin is the Greek Septuagint. The Greek Septuagint is in ERROR, becasue it put angels in the text of Genesis 6, when it should have when it should have remained sons of God, reason why is the Greeks believed that the pagan god Zeus (king of the gods), married and impregnated mortal human woman Alcmene and she gave birth to Hercules. So a person can see instead of Zeus, that angels was the thought in the Greek Septuagint, So naturally Alceme became the daughters of men in Genesis 6 and Hercales became Nephilim/Giants in Genesis 6, all because of Greek Mythology. This all happened in the time period of the years when God never spoke between the OT book of Malachi the prophet and the NT book of Matthew the apsotle. This time period is called the "Silent Years" The silent years of the Bible are the period between the prophecies of Malachi and the life of Jesus. This period lasted for about four hundred years, from the 5th century BC to the 1st century AD. During this time, no new prophets were raised and God revealed nothing new to the Jewish people. The silent years are also known as the Second Temple period or the age of Hellenistic Judaism. This time period was also the period of the Greek empire, which means a language shift is happening, so the NT would be written in the Greek language. What came with the Greek Empire and language shift, the Greek Mythology came along with it, and was INSERTED as the thought of Genesis 6. Some say the Mythology came from the Genesis 6 account, it is actually the other way arround, the Mythology was INSERTED into Genesis 6. That is WHY the Greek Septuagint, has angles in the text of Genesis 6, this also affected and influenced other uses of sons of God in the OT like Job 1, 2 and 38. In the book of Job the NIV translation uses angels instead of sons of God, the translators INSERTED angels which is the Wrong interpretation. Origin #2 The book of Enoch. The book of Encoh was also complied in the time period. The older sections of 1 Enoch (mainly in the Book of the Watchers) of the text are estimated to date from about 200 BC to 300 AD, and the latest part (Book of Parables) is probably to 100 BC. The book of Enoch is just a Jewish Myth, or to call it "Fools Gold". The book of Enoch is a pseudepigrapha book. Watchers in the book of Daniel 4 are NOT referencing angels, the Wathcers and Holy ones are the Father and the Son of the Trinity. The pseudepigrapha are the books that attempt to imitate Scripture but that were written under false names. The term pseudepigrapha comes from the Greek pseudo, meaning “false,” and epigraphein, meaning “to inscribe,” thus, “to write falsely.” The pseudepigraphical books were written anywhere from 200 BC to AD 300. They are spurious works written by unknown authors who attempted to gain a readership by tacking on the name of a famous biblical character like Encoh. Another example a book called the “Testament of Abraham” has a better chance of being read than the “Counterfeit Testament of an Unknown Author.” While the pseudepigrapha may be of interest to students of history and ancient religious thought, they are not inspired by God and therefore not part of the canon of Scripture. Reasons to reject the pseudepigrapha are 1) they were written under false names. Any pretense or falsehood in a book naturally negates its claim of truthfulness. 2) They contain anachronisms and historical errors. Looking at a major contradiction with the book of Enoch CONTRADICTION #1 Using the Book of Enoch chapter 7 (sec II) verses 10-14. 10. Then they took wives, each choosing for himself; whom they began to approach, and with whom they cohabited; teaching them sorcery, incantations, and the dividing of roots and trees. 11. And the women conceiving brought forth giants, 12. Whose stature was each three hundred cubits. These devoured all which the labour of men produced; until it became impossible to feed them; 13. When they turned themselves against men, in order to devour them; 14. And began to injure birds, beasts, reptiles, and fishes, to eat their flesh one after another, and to drink their blood. Verses 10 & 11 in Enoch sounds like Genesis 6:1-4. NOTICE in Book of Enoch 7 verse 12 it is written “Whose stature was each three hundred cubits.” 300 cubits (3,000 ells) when converted into feet is 450 feet. This so called offspring is 450 feet in stature. Some Translations say 4,500 feet in stature, REALLY?!?!?! So where did this 300 cubits (450 feet) come from? It just so happens this exact measurement is found in Genesis 6:15. Genesis 6:15 “ And this is how you shall make it: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits.” Interesting that the LENGTH of Noah’s Ark is 300 cubits or to say 450 feet long. What the Fable book of Enoch does is take the Length of the Ark and apply it to the stature of this offspring. Offspring that are 450 feet in stature. Why believe such nonsense. Jude CONTRADICTION Jude 1:14 & 15 "Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, 15 to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” Enoch chapter 2 (only one verse in the chapter) Enoch 2:1 1 Behold, he comes with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon them, and destroy the wicked, and reprove all the carnal for everything which the sinful and ungodly have done, and committed against him. The book of Enoch leaves out the "Seventh from Adam", where Jude gives detailed information that Jude is just writing down what Enoch spoke. People are mislead to believe that Enoch wrote a book. Enoch NEVER wrote a book, Enoch just spoke a prophecy. Deuteronomy 33 1 & 2 33:1 Now this is the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. 2 And he said: “The LORD came from Sinai, And dawned on them from Seir; He shone forth from Mount Paran, And He came with ten thousands of saints; From His right hand Came a fiery law for them. What Enoch prophesied is found in Deuteronomy 33:2, this is when God is represented here as coming forth from among them to manifest himself to his people. A fiery law. In Hebrew the fiery law refers to the Torah or to say the Living Torah. Jude just quotes what Enoch Prophesied or Spoke, NOT wrote. What Jude is doing is taking what Enoch Spoke thru oral tradition. Jude would be totally aware of Oral Tradition. Oral tradition is what the Jewish people handed down thru a Spoken prophecy or what was said. Enoch's prophecy came true in Deuteronomy 33:2, when Moses wrote about in the Torah. The Torah is the first five books of the Bible. Jude is actually writing down Enoch's prophecy and the book would be in the Torah found in Deuteronomy 33:2. about Enoch's prophecy. Enoch was before Moses so it is fitting that his prophecy came true in Deuteronomy 33:2. The book of Enoch is a false ancient text. The book steals from the Bible. Whoever wrote the book of Enoch just tagged Enoch to this book, so it is fitting that whoever wrote the book of Enoch stole from the OT or just used the prophecy of what Enoch spoke. Best way to sum up the book of Enoch is that the text is "FOOLS GOLD" What all this angel marriage and sexual relations with women does is exactly what Paul warns us about. "For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths."

The word Nephilim appears Twice in the Bible depending on the translation first in Genesis 6:4 used in a position of worship and adoration (to fall, lie prostrate, and cast down) and then Numbers 13: 33 as Bullies and Tyrants. There are TWO uses for the word Nephilim (OT Hebrew). Just like the word Love (NT GREEK) can be used as Agape, Eros, Philia, and Storge. The word Nephilim is a Hebrew word, when translated in English it means Giant. Strong's Concordance for Nephilim is H5303 and is derived from the word Nephal is H5307. Nephilim definition is "giants," name of two peoples, one before the flood and one after the flood. Nephilim, a Hebrew word meaning 'those who have fallen' or 'the fallen ones', translated into Greek as gigantez, gigantes, or 'giants' Looking at the Genesis account of the Giants/Nephilim With using both Hebrew and Greek there is more than one meaning or use of the words nephilim and giants. There is a DOUBLE meaning, because of Hebrew and Greek. Job 1: 20 "Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he FELL to the ground and worshiped." The word "FELL" in Job 1: 20 when translated to Hebrew is the word Naphal.

To me this is the sons of God using the Genealogy line that leads to Jesus who is the Promised seed. Many Generations can only apply to man, angels do not have reproductive capabilties or Generations, they are spirits, but can appear has human in the bible. There is a reason why God had genealogy lines in scripture, main reason is becasue of Jesus the Christ/the Promise. Luke 3, Genesis 5, 11, 25, and 47 sons of God/bene Elohim (Hebrew (בני האלהים‎, bənê hāʼĕlōhîm) 1) Adam (Luke 3: 38---Genesis 5:3-5) Lived: 930 Years. OR instead of Adam, Abel. 2) Seth (Luke 3: 38---Genesis 5:3, 6-8) Lived: 912 Years. 3) Enosh (Luke 3: 38---Enosh (Genesis 5:6, 9-11) Lived: 905 Years. 4) Cainan (Luke 3: 37---Genesis 5:9, 12-14) Lived: 910 Years. 5) Mahalael (Luke 3: 37---Genesis 5:12, 15-18) Lived 895 Years. 6) Jared (Luke 3: 37---Genesis 5:15, 18-20) Lived 962 Years. 7) Enoch (Luke 3: 37---Genesis 5:18, 21-24) Lived 365 Years/Translated never saw death. 8) Methuselah (Luke 3: 37---Genesis 5:21, 25-27) Lived 969 Years. 9) Lamech (Luke 3: 36---Genesis 5: 25, 28-31) Lived 777 Years. 10) Noah (Luke 3: 36----Genesis 5:28-29) Lived 950 Years. 11) Shem (Luke 3: 36, Genesis 5:28-29) Lived 950 Years. 12) Arphaxad (Luke 3: 36---Genesis 11: 12-13) Lived 438 Years 13) Cainan (Luke 3: 36) ** >>>>Genesis 11 Moses does not list Cainan>>>>Jesus the Son of God Looking #24 Judah (Luke 3:33) in the line, Judah represents the Crown, Royalty, and the Throne, king David Came from Judah, fast forward to Jesus birth, Jesus came out of Judah. Jesus was born in Bethlehem, Bethlehem was located in Judah (Judea). Before Judah is 23 names in the Genelogy line. Only difference is with Cainan of Luke 3:36 and Moses does not mention him in Genesis 11. Genesis 11 is where the tower of Babel happened and includes a genealogy line. But since there are 24 in the line, could this be the 24 Elders of Revelation 7, maybe/maybe not, something to think about. Also these 24 in the line are patriarchs. The line starts with Adam, but instead of Adam, Abel could be in the line. Abel gives us the first recorded animal sacrifice/offierng unto the Lord God, that is found in Genesis 4. Faith and Animal sacrifices/burnt offerings also are associated with the sons of God. Genesis 4 3-5 And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the Lord. 4 Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering, 5 but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell. Hebrews 11:4 "By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks." NOTICE Abel was "Righteous" and it is by "Faith" also it was an animal sacrifice. How did Cain and Abel know to present offerings unto the Lord God????? Scripture does not say they were commanded to give an offering. The only way is from Genesis 3:21 when God made the tunics of skin. Genesis 3: 21 "The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. Here God probably performed the first animal sacrifice when He made tunics of skin. The first sacrifice for sinful man (Adam and Eve). In Jesus the last sacrifice for sinful man at the Cross. Jesus paid for all sin at the Cross, the animal sacrifices of the OT Point to Jesus and His sacrifice on the Cross. Genesis 4: 26 And as for Seth, to him also a son was born; and he named him Enosh. Then men began to call on the name of the Lord. Calling on the Name of the Lord was presenting an animal sacrifice unto God. Seth would be a son of God. Then of course than a person can include Noah's offering found in Genesis 8:20. Noah also would be a son of God. My view sons of God in the OT are the patriarchs that include the genealogy line that leads to Jesus, and also includes Faith and animal sacrifices/burnt offerings. God is in a covenant relationship with mankind which includes shed blood with animal sacrifices/burnt offerings for sin, atonement and sanctification. Job in chapter 1 explains that when applying verse 5. Today it is 100% about the sacrifice of Jesus and His shed blood on the Cross, comes by Faith for the sons of God/children of God.

Clearly this is NOT about a divine council (gods/elohim) of nonhuman spirit beings/angels. Some do not apply or understand verse 7 (Remember the Days of Old; consider the years of Many Generations;) or Context applied with proper Hermeneutics. "Translation" is Correct for it to be "sons of God" or "children of Israel", but that kind of "Application" of angelic/nonhuman/spirit beings is Incorrect and totally false, non human angelic spirit beings do NOT have Genealogy lines and Many Generations.

The word Nephilim Nephilim, a Hebrew word meaning 'those who have fallen' or 'the fallen ones', translated into Greek as gigantez, gigantes, or 'giants' probably also means 'Years" a longivity of life, since the sons of God of Genesis 5 lives these Enromous llife spans which was Giant. Also since they live these Giant life Spans, their stature was probably larger. 1) Adam (Luke 3: 38---Genesis 5:3-5) Lived: 930 Years. OR instead of Adam, Abel. 2) Seth (Luke 3: 38---Genesis 5:3, 6-8) Lived: 912 Years. 3) Enosh (Luke 3: 38---Enosh (Genesis 5:6, 9-11) Lived: 905 Years. 4) Cainan (Luke 3: 37---Genesis 5:9, 12-14) Lived: 910 Years. 5) Mahalael (Luke 3: 37---Genesis 5:12, 15-18) Lived 895 Years. 6) Jared (Luke 3: 37---Genesis 5:15, 18-20) Lived 962 Years. 7) Enoch (Luke 3: 37---Genesis 5:18, 21-24) Lived 365 Years/Translated never saw death. 8) Methuselah (Luke 3: 37---Genesis 5:21, 25-27) Lived 969 Years. 9) Lamech (Luke 3: 36---Genesis 5: 25, 28-31) Lived 777 Years. 10) Noah (Luke 3: 36----Genesis 5:28-29) Lived 950 Years. 11) Shem (Luke 3: 36, Genesis 5:28-29) Lived 950 Years. 12) Arphaxad (Luke 3: 36---Genesis 11: 12-13) Lived 438 Years 13) Cainan (Luke 3: 36) ** >>>>Genesis 11 Moses does not list Cainan

Daughters of men explanation Genesis 6. Woman was created from Man, Not angels. Genesis 2:7 describes how God formed Adam from the dust of the ground and breathed into him the breath of life, bringing Adam to life. After Adam was created, God placed Him in the lush Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:15). God declares it not good that the man should be alone. Genesis 2:18 Then the LORD God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” Genesis 2:21-23 So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. 22 And the rib that the LORD God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. 23 Then the man said, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” Think of it this way since the woman (Eve) was created from man (Adam) and was of the same flesh, it is lke the woman (Eve) is the man’s (Adam’s) twin sister, so the DNA and Genetics was far Superior in that time period far more Superior, so their offspring could procreates with each other, and plus there was no law of incest at that time. So the daughters of men which the Sethite theory promotes is flawed, with just the line of Seth sons marrying just Cain’s daughters. The Daughters of men probably refer to both lines, which would be Adam’s daughter and on down the line of all the daughters of men. Creation of Woman Two Hebrew terms in this verse provide important information to better understand the creation of Eve as the first woman. The word translated “helper” is the Hebrew term ‘ezer. The concept of an “ideal partner” seems to convey the thought best. The second important Hebrew word in this verse, translated “fit” is kenegdow. It literally means “according to the opposite of him.” In other words, the focus is on an appropriate match. Eve was not created above or below Adam; she was complementary. The Bible is unique in its depiction of women’s valued status as a complementary companion. No other ancient text from the Middle East offers commentary on the creation of women. It is in the Bible that we learn of the important role women have had since the beginning of human existence. Both man and woman were made in God’s image, according to Genesis 1:27, “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” Genesis 2:7 describes how God formed Adam from the dust of the ground and breathed into him the breath of life, bringing Adam to life. After Adam was created, God placed Him in the lush Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:15). Angels are spirit beings, not flesh and blood or have any genetic capabilities. Woman was never meant to marry an angel or even procreate with an angel, the angels having physcial and sexual relations with women is a total insult against the institution of marriage whichs was established by God, creative order established by God and insulting to woman as getting impregnanted by an angel, no such union ever happened or will happen. This angel view is a Lie and comes from Mythology. The angel view is also anti-Christ and opposes the Jesus and the Cross, when looking at the marriage union. The apostle Paul refers to Genesis when he says, “A man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh” (Ephesians 5:31). Husband and wife are to live as one, united in love for God and for one another, modeling the love Christ has for His bride, the Church. When Christ went to the Cross He gave His life up for His Bride. By placing Faith in Christ two become ONE Flesh in Christ. The Faithful and Righteous partake of that ONE body who is Christ. As faithful believers in Christ and as his bride we are to be a complementary companion and helper, just like when God created woman.

James White at least keeps the gods/elohim human. This sky council of angels? not sure what you mean. I'll just post a better explanation than the video, depends if you beleive in the Trinity and how Jesus fulfills the words of the OT prophets. Asaph is the prophet who wrote Psalm 82. Jesus holds the answer of the "gods" of Psalm 82 in John 10. It is not the Hebrew that counts, Jesus is the one who COUNTS, Reason why Jesus fulfills the words of the prophets in the OT in the NT. Jesus fullfills the words of the OT in the NT. Israel is the "gods" in Psalm 82, the "gods" are human NOT nonhuman like this Heiser guy promoted. Israel was unique from the pagan nations that surrounded them, Israel had the law of God, 10 commandment, prophets and a Levitical priesthood. Since Israel had the law of God, it put Israel in the position of being "gods," becuase God chose them, Israel was God's chosen people.

Heiser Never did answer the question of the "gods" of Psalm 82, because Jesus answers the question. Reason why Jesus fulfills the words of the prophets in the OT in the NT. Jesus fullfills the words of the OT in the NT, Heiser Is Not the Son of God, so a mere man like Heiser can not accomplish something like that. Okay lets look at Psalm 82 and John 10 where it "gods" are used. Psalm 82: 1 "God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; John 10: 34-35 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken)," NOTICE the TWO "I said, “You are gods” in Psalm 82:6 and John 10: 34. A person HAS to Pair up these parts of scripture. When Asaph the prophet uses the word "sons" in Psalm 82:6 (Asaph the prophet wrote Psalm 82), Heiser also taught that the sons (Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;) are the sons of God part of a divine council made up of super angels, not just mere angels. He also taught Psalm 82 God is scolding these lower gods (elohim) or sons in the Heavens in the spiritual realm> Heiser's theory was all False!!! This is a Fantasy of Heiser and he did a great job selling this fantasy. Okay lets look into this. Since Heiser beleived that the audience and listeners (gods/elohim/sons) of Psalm 82 is about a bunch of super angels of a divne council be addressed and talked to in the heavens in the spiritual realm. So that would mean that Jesus would be in the heavens in the spiritual realm addressing His audience in John 10: 34, that makes ZERO sense and No logic!!! Very Clear that Jesus in John 10 and all of the NT Jesus is in the Physical realm addressing humans, so that would mean that Humans are being addressed in Psalm 82 in the physical realm, Heiser taught that Pslam 82 is in the spiritual realm about a bunch of non human spirit beings (super angels) totally false, that is why Jesus answers the question of the "gods" of Psalm 82 in John 10, Hesier blindly oppossed Jesus, which is anti-Christ. Israel as a son>>>>> Exodus 4:22 You are to say to Pharaoh, ‘This is what the Lord says: “Israel is my firstborn son." If you know your bible Jacob is Israel and there would be 12 sons borns to Jacob, which make up the 12 tribes of Israel. When a person reads Psalm 82:6 when it mentions "sons" it is referring to the 12 tribes of Israel in the physical world. Here is some more info for you to help you out, Getting back to the I said, “You are gods", ONE I said, “You are gods", in Psalm 82 verse 6 and ONE I said, “You are gods", in John 10 verse 34. A person has to pair up the "I said" statements that in in both the OT text and NT text. The "I said" statement is the kicker. The “I said” statement is no different than an “I am” statement. The "I said" and "I am" are declarations of God’s name from the OT, as applied by Jesus to Himself in the NT. The "I said" is only used in Psalm 82 and John 10. Most people are taught Jesus is "quoting" Psalm 82, BUT Jesus is REPEATING what His Father (God) had spoken thru the Prophet Asaph. Aspaph is the Author and Psalmist of Psalm 82. Prophets of the Old Testament like Asaph the "word of the Lord" would come to Prophets like Asaph. Let's look at an example from scripture, this a prophet after Moses passes away Deuteronomy 18: 18 "I will raise up for them a prophet like you (Moses) from among their brothers. And I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him." Another example Hosea 1:1 >>>>> "The word of the Lord that came to Hosea," Hosea 1:2 "When the Lord first spoke through Hosea, the Lord said to Hosea," With these examples from OT scripture Prophets were the "Voice" of God, this is part of the job description of a Prophet to handle and carry the "words" of the Lord God. Looking again at Psalm 82: 1 "God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment:" and Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;" HOW God has taken His place in the divine council (other translations"congregation of the mighty" or "great assembly") is by the Prophet Asaph who is the Psalmist who handled and carried the words of the Lord God. The divine council, congregation of the mighty" or "great assembly are the "gods" in Psalm 82:1 and Psalm 82:6 Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; John 10: 34-35 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken)," Again since the "I said" is the kicker, Jesus who is God (Son) goes on telling us who had the "law" and whom the " to whom the word of God came", that would be the "gods" which are Human and would be the Jews of whom Jesus is Addressing in John 10:34-35, so the same LOGIC would be applied to Psalm 82 that Humans are being addressed Psalm 82, NOT non human super angels of a divine council. Jesus is the word/Word become Flesh>>>>John 1:14 "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. Since Jesus is the Word become flesh, He is now carrying and handling the words of HIS Father from the Old Testament in the New Testament that is WHY it says in John 10:35 ((and the Scripture cannot be broken). Jesus has to Fulfill the words of the Old Testamen, which would also include His Birth and His Crucifixion (Isaiah 53). Jesus fulfills the Law and the Prophets, Jesus says in Matthew 5:17 "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill." Jesus TOTALLY answers the question of the "gods" of Psalm 82 in John 10, becasue Jesus is repeating what God spoke through the Prophet Asaph. Humans (gods) are being addressed in Psalm 82 and in John 10. What Heiser has done is Idolatry he got so many chasing after a phony and false divine council made up of a bunch of nonhuman gods (super angels). Heiser has cheated Jesus out of the answer of the "gods" of Psalm 82, because he never pointed a person to Jesus in John 10. Heiser was a blind teacher and a false teacher when it came to Psalm 82. Final Note: "To die like men" from Psalm 82, are referring to the "gods", probably referring to Israel, Jewish Elders who are Rulers, Judges or even kings with in the nation of Isarael are given this authoriy, becasue they have the Law of God and are to uphold the Law of God, they are to represent God and His Law, but are doing a awful job (Psalm 82: 2-5), that is why they are being scolded. Since God has all Authority over them and is Supreme Authority of life and death, these officials with high authoriy over Israel will die like men, because they are men. Psalm 82:2 "“How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked>>>>>>>>Men Judge (Jewish rulers), not a bunch of super angels of a divine council.

Actually anyone who teaches angels as sons of God are False teachers. That includes Heiser, Rob Skiba (deceased), Chuch Missler (deceased), Tom Horn (deceased), Gary Wayne, multiple pastors, KZfaq channels, ect... the list goes on and on. What they are doing is No different than the LGBTQ community, they all redefine marriage and go against the creative order that the Lord God established. When a person does a search on KZfaq for sons of God or Genesis 6 it is mostly about sons of God as angels. Massive deception is happening, HUGE!!! That is the thing with deception, people do not know they are being mislead and deceived, becasue most people are in "darkness" and are lead by a blind teacher. Not every thing the thy teach are false, just angles as sons of God. Seems like you didn't read it, so you backlash is pointless. The comments are to help people. BTW as question>>>is marriage between a man and a woman? Y or N......

Here is Deut. 32 and Gen. 6 all in Context....Moses was correct, Heiser is was in Error. Many Generations is the key point!! Heiser’s unseen realm is a false read, turns the Bible into fantasy Deuteronomy 32 Genesis 6 sons of God Explained!! Heiser is correct when he said it should be sons of God in Deuteronomy 32:8. Heiser was a word guy the Hebrew would be >>>>(בני האלהים‎, bənê hāʼĕlōhîm>"Remember the days of old". Since Moses wrote Torah, the first 5 books of the Bible, which are Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. These "days of old" that Moses mention in verse 7, what Moses is doing is taking the reader back to the Pre-flood time period. Taking Verse 7 (Remember the Days of Old; consider the years of Many Generations;) Can 100% be applied as "sons of God" in Deuteronomy 32:8 as well as Genesis 5 and sons of God in Genesis 6. All makes sense and fits with the Author of Torah who is Moses. The argument is, is that there No Abrahamic covenant yet, that is 100% true when a person applies verse 7 (Remember the Days of Old; consider the years of Many Generations;) it is more clear and plain to see who the "sons of God" are in both Deuteronomy 32:8 and Genesis 6 Nations are named after a father in scripture. Abraham is considered a father. Jacob (Israel) is the father of the twelve tribes. Since Israel was the "firstborn son" to the Lord God, which would means Israel/Jacobs offspring would be "sons of God" or also to say "children of Israel" The original 12 tribes were (in birth order) Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph, and Benjamin. Other list the 12 tribes Ephraim and Manasseh, instead of Joseph and Levi. The POINT is see how many Generations came from Israel (Jacob) See how many Generations came from Israel (Jacob) Even the following verses of how the "Text" allows for "sons of Israel" . Deuteromony 32:9 'But the Lord's portion is his people, Jacob his allotted heritage. 10 “He found him in a desert land, and in the howling waste of the wilderness; he encircled him, he cared for him" Clearly verses 9 and 10 is talking about the "sons of Israel" which would be Jacob's 12 sons/tribes, key words in the text Jacob alotted heritage (Israel). "The Lord's portion is his people" Israel was the Lord's Chosen people for the law and the prophets as well as the Messiah (Jesus, the Son of God). But of course Israel/Jews rejected Jesus. The 12 tribes were the ones wondering in the desert land which verse 10 is talking about. That is WHY there is such a debate in the text, both sons of God and children of Israel had "Many Generations". Heiser's divine council of spirit beings/angels Can Not or Do Not have "Many Generations" Even looking at Psalm 82:6 "I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;" The word "sons" is used in the Plurality, which would be referencing that the "sons" are human pretaining to the 12 tribes of Israel (Jacob's sons). The word "gods" Jesus answers that in John 10 also human. Heiser taught gods/elohim and sons are non human spirit beings in Psalm 82, is his foundation for his false divine council of "gods/elohim" meaning non human spirit beings/angels. These 12 tirbes (Israel) had the Law of God to govern the people. Elders/Rulers/Judges (gods/elohim/divine council) were part of that governing authority. Nothing angelic (Nonhuman) could govern the people. So naturally Humans are getting scolded in Psalm 82, not anything Nonhuman like angels/spirit beings of a divine council. The "divine council" are the Chosen people of God who given the Law of God. Also had the True Prophets of God. The divine council of "gods/elohim" is Israel/Jews or to say Jacobs decendents. The proper way of interpreting the scripture of Deuteronomy 32:8 whether it should be sons of God or children of Israel? Well which came first the Patriarchs/sons of God, of Genesis 5 and 6 or 12 tribes of Israel, of course it would be the Patriarchs/sons of God which are listed in Genesis 5 with "Many Generations" the longivity of life spans that they would have seen "Many Generations" and did lived old ages. This is ALL in Context, Context Is King!! Have to remember when scripture was first written there were no chapter breaks or verse breaks, that was added later in English Translations of scipture. Small summary, Moses tells us who the sons of God are with Remember the Days of Old; consider the years of Many Generations in verse 7 would be Applied to sons of God. Deuteronomy 32 7 Remember the days of old; consider the years of many generations; ask your father, and he will show you, your elders, and they will tell you. 8 When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God. Clearly this is NOT about a divine council (gods/elohim) of nonhuman spirit beings/angels. This Heiser guy did NOT understand verse 7 (Remember the Days of Old; consider the years of Many Generations;) or Context applied with proper Hermeneutics. He WAS a Blind and False Teacher of scripture when it came to "Application", but he was correct in the "Translaton" of the words sons of God in Deuteronomy 32:8.

You never addressed what I posted with Deuteronomy 32 7 "Many Generations" or any of it. Does that make sense? Job 38 6 To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone, 7 When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy? If the morning stars are angels and the 'sons of God' are also angels the text is oddly repetitive with two titles for the same group. It would read: 'Or who laid it's cornerstone when all the angels sang together and all the angels shouted for joy'. That doesn't make sense either. ~ Who are the morning stars? ANGELS ~ Revelation 1:20; “As for the mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: the seven ‘STARS ARE ANGELS’ of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches." ~ Who are the sons of God? GODLY MEN The Faithful/Saints The word "ALL" is the key word in this verse when the verse reads" and ALL the sons of God shouted for joy" in Job 38:7b is in reference to that time period of before the flood, but also after the flood and beyond. The reason why is the the LORD is the "JOY" of salvation for ALL ages and time periods for ALL generations Past, Present and Future. This is also in a sense prophetic and eternal. When a person reads scripture angels NEVER shout for joy, because there is NO Redemption for angles or need for Salvation. `~Some Joy Verses ~Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! ~Psalms 51 12 "David cried unto the Lord, "Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit" Notice David "calls or cried unto the LORD" The cornerstone in the text is Jesus ~1 Peter 2:7 Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who [b]are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone,” ~Psalm 118:22 The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. Isaiah 28 16 Therefore thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily. ~Ephesians 2 20-22 20 Having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

Job 1:4 " And his sons would go and feast houses, each on his DAY, and would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them Job 1: 6 "Now there was a DAY when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. Job 1:4 is a Day and Job 1:6 is another Day, but both Days are part of the Days of Feasting Job 1: 13 " Now there was a DAY when his sons and daughters eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house;" >>>>>the sons and daughters are Jobs, his household. Job 1:20 Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped. 21 And he said, “Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” Job 2: 1 "Again there was a DAY when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord. The proper interpretation is pairing together Job 1: 4 with Job 1: 6 and pairing together Job 1: 13, 20 with Job 2: 1, keeping Job 1: 5 in mind and applying that thought to with the verses that are paired together. Looking at Job since he was a father/patirarch he is serving as a priest and offerings burnt offerings/animal sacrifices unto the Lord God for the sins of his household, which is a shadow and fore shadowing Jesus who is the true High Priest in Heaven and the heavenly places. All these animal sacrifices are with the shed blood of animals under the Old Covenant ot the animal sacrifices. This is all in association, relationship and identity with Jesus the High Priest is the Son of God, so natually the patriarchs/fathers like Job (household) are given the status to be called sons of God. Angels or any kind of spiritual beings of a so called divine council of super angels NEVER were given priestly duties and offered burnt offerings/animal sacrifices unto the Lord God. See how many Generations came from Isreal (Jacob) All the animal sacrifices is a offered by earthly priests (mediators) like Job, Noah, Abraham, patriarchs and Israels Levitical priesthood is just a model and a foreshadowing of Jesus and His role of High Priest, which is a better sacrifice and His shed blood as the True Mediator between God and man.

It is insisted this is angels which is false, Okay lets break these verse down in 3 parts, >Part 1: The big one is the word Sanctify found in verse 5, becasue Job is presenting a burnt offering/animal for his children. Job is head of the household/the patriarch and father of his family, so it is his duty to present the sacrifice for his children to "Sanctify" them, meaning Sacntify their souls. The verse says in verse 5 “It may be that my children have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts.” The verse use the word hearts, which means inner person or the heart of a person, their soul. The word Sanctify means set apart as or declare holy; consecrate, make legitimate or binding by religious sanction, free from sin; purify: cause to be or seem morally right or acceptable: Job being the Patrarch of the family, is performing a priestly duty, angels have NO priestly duties or present animal sacrfices unto the Lord God. Angels have NOTHING to do with Sanctification. Jesus on the Cross is the High Priest and was the Sacrifice on the Cross for Sanctification, Jesus paid the final sin debt in full on the Cross for sinful man. The result from Jesus who is the son of God, the sanctification of a sacrifice whether a burnt offering/animal sacrifice or the sacrifice of Chirst put sinful souls in the postition of purification (sanctified) to be sons of God or called children of God. NOTICE verse 5 says " Thus Job did continually," which means Job continually offered burnt offerings unto the Lord for sanctification for the souls of his family or children. >Part 2: Now that the burnt offerings/animal sacrifices, sanctification, priestly duties and sons of God being set apart/purified are established, lets look at the word "day/yom". Verse 4 and 5b "4 His sons used to go and hold a feast in the house of each one on his day, and they would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them. 5 And when the days of the feast had run their course," What text is say there were these feast days. These feast days are celebrations maybe celebrating birthdays or some special occasion, but each of these feast days had there own day, think of it like the days of creation found in Genesis, each day had it's own day. Day 1 - light and time (Gen 1:3-5) Day 2 - the sky and “separated” waters (Gen 1:6-8) Day 3 - dry ground, bodies of water, and plants (Gen 1:9-13) Day 4 - the sun, moon, stars, and planets (Gen 1:14-19) Day 5 - fish and birds (Gen 1:20-23) Day 6 - land animals and humans (Gen 1:24-31). The hebrew word for day is Strong's Hebrew: 3117. יוֹם (yom) -- day - Bible Hub. Whether these are literal days or each day is a 1,000 years it is debatable, but it is for the readers understanding that God is the creator. Okay this is the same approach for the word "day/yom" in Job, this is not a 1,000 years for the word "day/yom", but each day is its own day for these feast days, just like the days of creation. Lets look at each of these feast days for Job's household. When Job presented the animal sacrifice/burnt offering (Job 1:5) this was in the days (Plural) of Feasting. There are Two "DAYS" mentioned in the days of feasting found in Job 1: 4 and Job 1: 13 and there are also Two "DAYS/YOM" when the sons of God presented themselves Job 1: 6 and Job 2: 1. Whether this is in the physical realm or the spiritual realm, that is debatable it is open to discussion, even when Satan tempted Jesus 3 times was that in the physical realm or the spiritual realm. Job 1:4 " And his sons would go and feast houses, each on his DAY, and would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them Job 1: 6 "Now there was a DAY"YOM when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. Job 1:4 is a Day/Yom and Job 1:6 is another Day/Yom, but both Days are part of the Days of Feasting Job 1: 13 " Now there was a DAY/YOM when his sons and daughters eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house;" >>>>>Job:1 19 and behold, a great wind came across the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young people, and they are dead, and I alone have escaped to tell you.” Job 1:20 Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped. 21 And he said, “Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” Job 2: 1 "Again there was a DAY/YOM when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord. Notice in verese 20 that Job shaved his head and fell to the gorond and worshiped, during the presenting of burnt offerings/animal sacrifices, the worshippers would fall to the ground while presenting the burnt offerings/animal sacrifices in the OT, in a state of worship towards God. Shaving the head which was then a usual ceremony in mourning: of which see Ezra 9:3; Isaiah 15:2; Isaiah 22:12; Jeremiah 7:29; Jeremiah 41:5; Micah 1:16. Job was mourning over the loss and death of his children. Angels do not shave their heads for mourning. Another thing to Notice Job 1: 6 "Now there was a DAY"YOM when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. Job 2: 1 "Again there was a DAY/YOM when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord. In Job 1:6 happened when Job's children were living and in Job 2:1, Job's childrenhad lost their lives and were no longer living ound in verse 19. The proper interpretation is pairing together Job 1: 4 with Job 1: 6 and pairing together Job 1: 13, 20 with Job 2: 1, keeping Job 1: 5 in mind and applying that thought to with the verses that are paired together. Basically what happened is in Job 1 :4 and Job 1: 13 the feasting would be taking place, then the following day Job 1: 6 and Job 2: 1 early in the morning Job would present the animal sacrifice/burnt offering unto the Lord God. Job is being made Holy as well as his Household (wife, sons, daughters), because of the sacrifice (burnt offering), sanctification, atonement and shed blood of the sacrifice, this brings Job's Household into a position of "Adoption and Purificationof souls", hence forth sons of God are explained in Job 1:6 and Job 2: 1 which happened the following day. This all took place during the days of feasting. >Part 3: Looking at when and how the word "PRESENT" is used in Job 1:6 and Job 2:1....... Job 1:6" Now there was a day when the sons of God came to PRESENT themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. Job 2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to PRESENT themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them to PRESENT himself before the Lord. It is already how the sons of God presented themselves, it is by Sanctification, made right, purification with the burnt offering/animal sacrifice by the faith of Job. Notice>>>In Job 1:6 Satan does NOT Present anything to the Lord God, he just shows up, but in Job 2:1 Satan how Satan presents himself is found in Job 1:11-12.... 11" But stretch out your hand and touch all that he has, and he will curse you to your face.” 12 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your hand. Only against him do not stretch out your hand.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord. How Satan presented himself which is his primary goal is that Job would curse God to His face found in Job 1:11-12 found in the previous verses, this leads into how Satan presented himself in Job 2:1 after Job was given over to Satan in Job 1. Again is this conversation Satan and God having in the spiritual realm or physical realm, but the scene is on the earth, not in heaven. Pointing out the 3 heavens: 2 Corinthians 12: 2-4 "I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows such a one was caught up to the third heaven. 3 And I know such a man whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows 4 how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter." A)The word heavens can be used to refer to different realms. Heaven can refer to the sky and the earth’s atmosphere, making it the "first heaven" (Deut. 11: 11, Psalm 104: 12, Isaiah 55: 10). B) Heaven can also refer to outer space, where the stars and planets are the "second heaven" (Psalm 8: 3, Isaiah 13: 10). C) Third Heaven can refer to God’s dwelling place or throne of God, which is beyond the other 2 "heavens," a place known as the "third heaven" (Psalm 33: 13-14, Isaiah 66: 1, Matthew 6: 9, Hebrews 7: 26, Revelation 11: 19). With the conversation with Satan and God, the conversation was the "first heaven" or the realm of the earth in the sky where the clouds are while the sons of God (Job and his household) are in "Sanctified Status" presenting themselves with animal sacrifices and burnt offerings. Even when Satan tempted Jesus it was in the realm of the earth found in Matthew 4: 1-11, 3 Temptations.

The Book of Enoch is actually a Jewish book of Fables and an influence of Myths, meaning what is in the Book of Enoch is not true or inspired. Using the Book of Enoch chapter 7 (sec II) verses 10-14. NOTICE in Book of Enoch 7 verse 12 it is written “Whose stature was each three hundred cubits.” 300 cubits when converted into feet is 450 feet. This so called offspring is 450 feet in stature. REALLY?!?!?! What the Fable book of Enoch does is take the Length of the Ark and applies it to the stature of this offspring. Offspring that are 450 feet in stature. Why believe such nonsense. Book of Enoch chapter 2 “Behold, he comes with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon them, and destroy the wicked, and reprove all the carnal for everything which the sinful and ungodly have done, and committed against him. (Quoted by Jude, vss. 14, 15.) The false book of Enoch even steals from Jude verses 14 & 15 or the author of the book of Enoch is just writing down what Enoch SPOKE. This can lead many astray into believing in the Jewish Fable book of Enoch. Another fable from the book of Enoch chapter 68 verse 4, “The name of the first is Yekun: he it was who seduced all the sons of the holy angels; and causing them to descend on earth, led astray the offspring of men.” In this verse it mentions that this angel Yekun (Jeqon) lead the angels in heaven astray and caused them to descend to the earth. That is NOT TRUE. Lucifer who is Satan caused that. Using the fable book of Enoch this is about a prophecy of Jesus. Enoch chapter 1 verse 3b and 4The Holy Great One will come forth from His dwelling, 4 And the eternal God will tread upon the earth, (even) on Mount Sinai, [And appear from His camp] And appear in the strength of His might from the heaven of heavens. In Enoch chapter 1 verse 3b and 4 is a prophecy that the great holy one will appear on Mount Siniai. Scripture tells that Jesus will appear on the Mt. of Olives. This is a contradiction. Jesus ascended to heaven from the Mount of Olives, on the east side of Jerusalem, and Jesus is coming again to the same place and location (Mt. of Olives). [Acts 1:9-12 and Zechariah 14:4-5] Jesus Ascends to Heaven Act 1: 9-12 "9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, 11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.” The Upper Room Prayer Meeting 12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey. >>>>> mount called Olivet is the Mount of Olives. Zechariah 14:4-5 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, From east to west, Making a very large valley; Half of the mountain shall move toward the north And half of it toward the south. 5 Then you shall flee through My mountain valley, For the mountain valley shall reach to Azal. Yes, you shall flee As you fled from the earthquake In the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Thus the LORD my God will come, And all the saints with You. Zechariah is a prophet of the Old Testament. What Zechariah is talking about is the SECOND COMING of Jesus. Fable book of Enoch is missing texts, Chapters 11 and 36 are not in the book, compared to the Bible all 66 books are complete and are not missing any of the writings. Another point in the fable book of Enoch compared to the Bible, when Lucifer rebelled his name changed to Satan (devil), which is means the adversary. Why did not all these other angels names change as well? In the Bible the book of Titus Paul writes: Titus 1:13-15 “This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith, 14 not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn from the truth. 15 To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled.” This is EXACTLY what has happened to so many, because they take the Fable book of Enoch to be true. A lot of peoples minds (conscience) are defiled.

What most people do not realize is that there are TWO Enochs mentioned in Genesis. Here are my thoughts and studies on the "Fool's Gold" book of Encoh Genesis 5: 18 Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and begot Enoch. 19 After he begot Enoch, Jared lived eight hundred years, and had sons and daughters. 20 So all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years; and he died. 21 Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah. The other Enoch is found in Genesis 4: 16-18 Genesis 4: 16 Then Cain went out from the presence of the LORD and dwelt in the land of Nod on the east of Eden. 17 And Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch. And he built a city, and called the name of the city after the name of his son Enoch. 18 To Enoch was born Irad; and Irad begot Mehujael, and Mehujael begot Methushael, and Methushael begot Lamech. Basically the Encoh in Chapter 5 of Geneis refers to Abel's line and the Enoch mentioned in Genesis 4 refers to Cain's line. Question which Encoh is the book of Enoch referring to??????? The book of Enoch is probably refering to the line of Cain Answer to the question, lets look into it. Jude 1: 14 & 15 "Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, Enoch 2:1 1 Behold, he comes with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon them, and destroy the wicked, and reprove all the carnal for everything which the sinful and ungodly have done, and committed against him. Genesis 5: 18 Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and begot Enoch. 19 After he begot Enoch, Jared lived eight hundred years, and had sons and daughters. 20 So all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years; and he died. 21 Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah. In the book of Enoch, since it left out the “Seventh from Adam” would refering to the line of Cain found in Genesis 4: 16-18. So this is a False Enoch, making the book of Enoch False. Genesis 4: 16 Then Cain went out from the presence of the LORD and dwelt in the land of Nod on the east of Eden. Jesus confronting Pharisees in John 8, telling them their father is the devil. John 8:44 “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. Jesus reveals the reality to the devil/Satan to his opponents that the devil/Satan murderous and a deceitful liar. This Enoch Without the “Seventh from Adam” included, is the offspring of Cain. Cain Murdered Abel found in Genesis 4: 8 the first murder mentioned in scripture. Genesis 4: 8 “Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.” Bascially the Book of Encoh is associated with Cain’s son Enoch. Cain is more associated with the God of this world (Devil/Satan), with being a murderer. The Devil/Satan is a deceitful liar so the book of Enoch is something Not True. The book of Enoch is probably a Jewish Fable, it is not True inspired Scripture. Paul writes in Titus. Titus 1: 14 “not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn from the truth.” The book of Enoch is a false ancient text. The book steals from the Bible. Whoever wrote the book of Enoch just tagged Enoch to this book. The Book of Enoch is any of several pseudepigraphal (falsely attributed works, texts whose claimed authorship is unfounded) works that attribute themselves to Enoch who is the son of Cain. The book of Enoch is supposed to have originated sometime from 100 BC to the 1st century, so it is fitting that whoever wrote the book of Enoch stole from the OT or just used the prophecy of what Enoch spoke. Think of it as “Fools Gold”. The book of Enoch supresses and murders the Truth of scripture, it turns scripture into a fable.....the book of Enoch is "Fools Gold"

Summary of Michael Heiser thoughts "unseen realm" How can the nations be divided according to the sons of Israel when in fact Israel as a people doesn't even exist at the time. Babel is at least two hundred and fifty years before Abraham's encounter with God. The idea of the gods of the nation have their origin to the angels of whom the nations were placed under subjection to, not Israel. The nations were never placed under Israel. Since the nations humanity rejected God, he did the next best thing, as the scripture says, that the old testament world was put under the subjection of the angels. But Israel, God carved out for himself to be his people, whom he would lead personally and be their God. This was the great distinction God set between Israel and the nations. The nations thus under the angels Israel led by God. See psalms 82. God rebukes the angels for not leading the nations in up rightness and as a result, decrees their doom. You shall die like mortal men Why, because they led the nations unto idolatry in serving them, false gods. Their were elohiyms ( gods ) but not Yehweh Yehovah, El Elyon. The God of all gods. The term god is not a name, we for get that. Its a title that denotes function duty and place of resistancy, where they belong. Namely the spirit or unseen realm. God is a spirit, so are angels, disembodied. God, a term that denotes to the beings of the spirit realm. It should be clear enough that since Israel was nowhere in site at babal when the nations were divided, then neither can Israel be in anyway the sons of God as mentioned. Paul picks up on this very issue in the book of Hebrews that the world to come ( the news testament world ) would not be put under the subjection. Of the angels as it was under the first testament age that then was. Christ would bring the nations back to him as God himself preached the gospel to Abraham saying, in thee I shall make you the father of many nations. The good news was that God would bring the nations home, thus ending the angels subjection over them. When Paul spoke that we fight not against flesh and blood but with principalities and powers rulers of darkness in high places ( meaning, heavenly places ), he was referring not to the Pharisees but to the angelic realm, whom God for a time put the nations under. As Adam failed so they too failed in disobedience. Christ came to redeem it all, to put things right. All has fallen away, even the angels whom God placed the nations under, rebelled. The sons of God the angels Gods first creation that preceded Adam. Adam muchless Israel was not even in the picture. The old testament never refer to man as the sons of God until redemption is purchased for man. Now are we the sons of God, a term never used of man until Christ adopted us.

Heiser false teaching: How can the nations be divided according to the sons of Israel when in fact Israel as a people doesn't even exist at the time. >>>>Problem with this part in the comment using the New Testament is that Satan is the god of this world, he was in the Garden and has been the god of this world ever since. The nations of the world are under the infuence of Satan, that god/el of this world, the ruler of this world. Can not change Satan being a singular god of this world into a plurality of angels. 2 Corinthians 4:4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. John 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out. 1 John 5:19 We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. All these verses are singular referring to Satan>>>>god of this world, ruler of this world, evil one. How a Satan gets a plurality is that he masquerades, this is how he deceives and rules. NIV 2 Corinthians 11:14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. ESV 2 Corinthians 11:14 And no wonder, for even Satan masquerades himself as an angel of light. NASB 2 Corinthians 11:14 No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. NKJV 2 Corinthians 11:14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Simply put of Satan wants to be the sun god to get worship he will use the sun to disquise himself for Idolatry, no differrent then Baal in the Bible, Satan has tons of masquerades and disguises. Satan has the abililty to "transform" to an angel of light. Satan can disquese himself as many different gods of Idolatry to deceive many. So basically the world is subject to Satan. Heiser true/false teaching: But Israel, God carved out for himself to be his people, whom he would lead personally and be their God. This was the great distinction God set between Israel and the nations. >>>>True, One of the major distinctions, Is that Israel had the law and the prophets, word of the Lord came ot Israel through prophets. Circumcision was also a distinction. The nations thus under the angels Israel led by God. See psalms 82. God rebukes the angels for not leading the nations in up rightness and as a result, decrees their doom. You shall die like mortal men. >>>Problem with this is that angels are spirits, they would have a spiritual death, not a mortal/physical death. To die like men just means that because death that started for man came from Adam. Mankind is under the Curse of death for a mortal/physical body so to die like men is referring to a mortal/physical death. Psalm 82 Israel would be in existance, so it is a better fit if Israel would die like men. Israel means one who struggles with God, so it is fitting that Israel is getting scolded, not a bunch of angels. Israel also had the law and the prophets, not angels. Heiser false teaching: Why, because they (angels) led the nations unto idolatry in serving them, false gods. >>>>>>Again this goes back to Satan as the god of this world disquiing and masquerading himself into a false god or gods. The plurality of Satan he is multiple idolatrous gods. That is how he deceives. The "they" is Satan in the spirit or the unseen realm. >>>>True God is spirit and so are angels. It should be clear enough that since Israel was nowhere in site at babal when the nations were divided, then neither can Israel be in anyway the sons of God as mentioned. Paul picks up on this very issue in the book of Hebrews that the world to come ( the news testament world ) would not be put under the subjection. PART-1 You say>>The Angel Michael is according to the book of Daniel the great Prince that watches over Daniels people. Do you see? My response>>> Again this comes from your comment of "Scripture only makes sense if the Divine council are Elohim the rulers of the nation's." Okay you are Wrong you capitalized Elohim who is God, lower case elohim/gods, I addressed the elohim/gods in the Psalm 82 response, the elohim/gods are Israel look at John 10. Daniel 12: 1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. Michael and even Gabriel would be angels for Israel. Let's look at the whole passage instead of cherry picking verses “At that time Michael shall stand up, The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time of trouble, Such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, Every one who is found written in the book. 2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3 Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever. Basically this is at the end of days and the final judgement, this is about the future, it is prophetic and is still to happen. In verse 12:1 at the end of the verse it says "every one that shall be found written in the book." Okay this book it mentions is the book of life/Lambs book of Life. This is for all the Faithful/Righteous/Saved who will enter eternal life and will be in the Kingdom with Christ. Angels are NOT written in this book Problem 1) with the word "generations", angels/non humans do NOT have "generations" because they are not flesh and blood. Also can not procreate and have NO sex organs. God desinged sexual relations and marriage between men and women. Not angels/nonhuman beings and woman. Answer>>>> Only the Patriachs of Genesis 5 would have "Generations" in fact "Many Generations" The longivity of Life. All had "Giant" Life spans. Also in that time period with Giant life spans, the people may have been 10-15 feet tall. This is probably makes more sense with the Hebrew word Nephilim/Giants, but there could be broader meaning to the word Nephilim and how it is used. Before the flood everything could have been larger even vegetation, maybe animals as well. Probably were no oceans or large bodies of water until after the flood. Here they are for you, look at the longivity of Life they had and would have saw "Many Generations" (Deuteronomy 32:7), this just makes sense. Also what is list is up to Jacob (Israel). 1) Adam (Genesis 5:3-5) Lived: 930 Years. 12) Arphaxad (Genesis 11: 12-13) Lived 438 Years 2) Seth (Genesis 5:3, 6-8) Lived: 912 Years. 13) Shelah Genesis (11: 14-15) Lived 433 Years 3) Enosh (Genesis 5:6, 9-11) Lived: 905 Years. 14) Eber Genesis (11: 16-17) Lived 464 Years 4) Cainan (Genesis 5:9, 12-14) Lived: 910 Years. 15) Peleg Genesis (11: 18-19) Lived 239 Years 5) Mahalalel (Genesis 5:12, 15-18) Lived 895 Years. 16) Reu Genesis (11: 20-21) Lived 239 Years 6) Jared (Genesis 5:15, 18-20) Lived 962 Years. 17) Serug Genesis (11: 22-23) Lived 230 Years 7) Enoch (Genesis 5:18, 21-24) Lived 365 Years/Translated never saw death. 18) Nahor Genesis (11: 22-23) Lived 148 Years 8) Methuselah (Genesis 5:21, 25-27) Lived 969 Years. 19) Terah Genesis (11: 32) Lived 205 Years 9) Lamech (Genesis 5: 25, 28-31) Lived 777 Years. 20) Abram (Abraham) (Genesis 25: 7) Lived 175 Years 10) Noah (Genesis 5:28-29) Lived 950 Years. 21) Isaac (Genesis 25: 7) Lived 180 Years 11) Shem (Genesis 10:10-11) Lived 600 Years. 22) Jacob (Israel) (Genesis 47: 28) Lived 147 Years You say>>>>" did not live all at the same time" Answer We know Adam and Seth lived at the same and so on down the line, with father and a son is born. NOT saying that Noah lived at same time of Adam, Seth or even Methuselah, but that does bring up an interesting thought and it is debatable. Looking at did not live all at the same time in Hebrew his name means "man of the dart" (or possibly "spear") and "he shall send his death" or more provocatively "when he is dead it shall be sent". Even looking at Methuselah's name, it is said when Methuselah died God sent the flood. So if that is the case Noah and Methuselah lived at the same time. You say>>>>" also where not appointed as rulers of different nations." Never said any thing of appointed rulers of different nations, where did you come up with that? What I am saying is the Patriarchs are the sons of God, Genesis 5 also can find them in Genesis 11 and Luke 3. Patriarchs/fathers are the head of their household the lead in the family. The patriarch means the male head of a family or tribe. Abraham/Abram was one of the sons of God. Abraham is in the genealogy line that leads to Christ who is the Son of God. 1) Looking at Abraham, God had a covenant with him called the "Abrahamic Covenant", this is found in Genesis 12:1-3 " Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you. 2 And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Looking at the table of nations Abraham is found in Genesis 11:26 "26 When Terah had lived 70 years, he fathered Abram (Abraham), Nahor, and Haran. 2) Looking at Circumcision Later, God gave Abraham the rite of circumcision as the specific sign of the Abrahamic Covenant (Genesis 17:9-14). All males in Abraham’s line were to be circumcised and thus carry with them a lifelong mark in their flesh that they were part of God’s physical blessing in the world. First was Abraham, then Issace and of course Jacob (Israel). So with Circumcision we can see that God is sperating the people and nations.

PART-2 3) Looking at animal sacrifices/burnt offerings/calling on the name of the Lord, This started in Genesis 4 when God seperated Cain and Abel>>>Genesis 4: 3-6 " And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the Lord. 4 Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering, 5 but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell," Cain then left after he murdered his brother Abel, Cain then dwelt in the land of Nod>>>>Genesis 4:16 dwelt in the land of Nod on the east of Eden". A person can see here Cain was seperated and dwelt in a different land. "When the Most High divided their inheritance to the nations, (Dwelling place or land as an inheritance) When He separated the sons of Adam, (Note: Some translations say "divided mankind" instead of "separated the sons of Adam") (When God separates the sons of Adam or divided mankind, this is referring to Cain and Abel, found in Genesis 4. Cain’s offering (Ground offering) to God was displeasing so God reject that offering, while God accepted Abel’s offering, because the offering was the first born of his flock (Sheep or young Lamb). When a person reads Deuteronomy 32: 7-8 this makes more sense with the Patriarchs as the sons of God "7 Remember the days of old; consider the years of many generations; ask your father, and he will show you, your elders, and they will tell you. 8 When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God." How the Lord God set the boundaries of the peoples is with the animal sacrifices/blood shed/burnt offerings/Alter like with Abel presented and offered by Faith. Hebrews 11:4 " By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks." Simply putting it, the Lord God separated the boundaries with the "Righteous and Unrighteous" Abel was Righteous/Cain Unrighteous. 1 John 3:12 "not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother’s righteous. The Lord God has Always used a Sacrifice by Faith to separate the peoples, starts back in Genesis. Notice that Cain was of the "wicked one (1 John 3 12)" and Abel was the righteous one (Hebrews 11:4). The separation of the Wicked and Unrighteous like Cain and the Faithful/Righteous like Abel. This is how the nations are separated and how God set the boundaries of the people. Noah also a Patriarch as well as one of the sons of God, his burnt offering/animal sacrifice is found in Genesis 8:20 "Then Noah built an altar to the Lord, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar" This is the very first thing Noah did when he got off the Ark after the flood. How Noah probaly knew to give a sacrifice is from his father Lamech. 4) Looking at calling on the name of the Lord, We find Seth calling on the name of the Lord in Genesis 4:25-26 " 25 And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and called his name Seth, for she said, “God has appointed for me another offspring instead of Abel, for Cain killed him.” 26 To Seth also a son was born, and he called his name Enosh. At that time people (men) began to call upon the name of the Lord." Here, to call on the name of the Lord means that people began to gather for corporate worship and seeking the help of the Creator. Calling on the name of the Lord is basic for salvation and presupposes faith in the Lord. God promises to save those who, in faith, call upon His name: “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13; cf. Joel 2:32). Everyone who invokes the name of God for mercy and salvation, by or in the name of Jesus, shall be saved (Acts 2:21). Seth would be one of the sons of God. Abraham/Abram called on the name of the Lord found in Genesis 12:7-8 "7 Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your [c]descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him. 8 And he moved from there to the mountain east of Bethel, and he pitched his tent with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; there he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord." Abraham a Pariarch also would be one of the sons of God. Today God separates the people with the Gospel and the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross, those with Faith in Christ and without Faith in Christ. The New Covenat is in the Blood and Sacrifice in Christ, no longer in the blood and sacrifice of an animal on an alter. I'll address some of the problems with these guys that teach angels as sons of God. 1. Angels are spirits, not flesh and cannot procreate/No genealogy line or generations that lead to Christ. Creative and natural order each kind produces after its own kind, angels are spiritual kind. 2. Angels do not take wives and marry women>>woman was created from man fitting the two genders procreate and fill the earth 3. Angels do not call on the name of the Lord>>>Patrairchs call on the name of the Lord 4. Angels have nothing to do with circumcision>>>>Circumcision started with Abraham and his descendents, Isaac, includes Jacob>>> Israel (12 tribes) 5. Angles have no priestly duties of presenting animal sacrifices/burnt offerings>>>Patriarchs had priestly duties. Israel had a Levitical priesthood with animal sacrifices

Jesus holds the answer of the "gods" of Psalm 82 in John 10. Reason why Jesus fulfills the words of the prophets in the OT in the NT. Jesus fullfills the words of the OT in the NT. Hope you understand what I posted about Christ from John 10, seems like you did. I agree 100% with you that "It's a modern misunderstanding that promotes all sorts of cosmic tripe from new agers and mystics alike" I take a different take on it, I use to think it was just judges, I know that is how some teach it as just judges of Israel. We Both know the "gods/elohim" are Human This is a little more in depth on my view. Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; Notice the words "all of you" in context. Which means all of Isarael, so it is not just judges of Israel, this would include elders, rulers, kings of Israel and even Judah, and even the common Israelite along with the judges of Israel, Simply put 'All" of Israel (Jacob's descendents). Something else to point out Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;" Notice the word "sons" Exodus 4:22 says "Then you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says the Lord, Israel is my firstborn son". Since Israel was the "firstborn son" to the Lord God, which would means Israel/Jacobs offspring would be "sons of God" or also to say "children of Israel" Look at Deuteronomy 32: 7 and 8 with Many Generations" Israel (Jacob) had 12 sons which would be 12 tirbes, the house of Israel. The original 12 tribes were (in birth order) Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph, and Benjamin. Other list the 12 tribes Ephraim and Manasseh, instead of Joseph and Levi. The offsrping of Jacob (Israel) are the Chosen people of God, they had the law and the word of the Lord came to them, not a pagan nation like the Egypt. Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; So it makes more sense then just judges of Israel, when it is the "sons" and "all of you". Israel are the "gods" The Chosen People which include judges, elders, kings, rulers and even the common decendent of Jacob (Israel).

Psalm 82 Expalined Israel are the "gods" in Psalm 82, the "gods" are human NOT nonhuman meaning angels/spirit beings Israel was unique from the pagan nations that surrounded them, Israel had the law of God, 10 commandment, prophets and a Levitical priesthood. >>>>"I said, “You are gods” >>>>>ONCE by the God (Father) in Psalm 82. sons of God of Genesis expalined>>> "Many Generations" Deuteronomy 32 7 Remember the days of old; consider the years of many generations; ask your father, and he will show you, your elders, and they will tell you. A Longivity of life, average age was 900 YEARS of "Many Generations" before the flood. Just to look at the word "Generations" is found in Genesis 5:1 >> Gen. 5:1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God.>Genesis 11:10 These are the generations of Shem. When Shem was 100 years old, he fathered Arpachshad two years after the flood.

Heiser is/was in massive error with Psalm 82 Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; John 10: 34-35 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken)," 1. >>>>"I said, “You are gods” >>>>>ONCE by the God (Father) in Psalm 82. Israel was unique from the pagan nations that surrounded them, Israel had the law. Since Israel had the law of God, it put Israel in the position of being "gods," becuase God chose them, Israel is God's chosen people. so why wouldn't they be "gods" Looking again at Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;>>>>God (Father) communicating His words through the prophet Asaph to Israel>>>gods/elohim>>>Human John 10: 34-35 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”>>>>Jesus (Son/God) communicating and repeating exact same words to Isreal>>>Human In reality what a person can get from scripture is that Jesus tells us who the "gods" are in Psalm 82 when we read John 10 34-35. Jesus is the One who fulfills the words of the prophets from the OT in the NT, that is why Jesus REPEATED the exact words " I said, “You are gods, from Psalm 82 in John 10. Heiser's goofy theory of Psalm 82 the gods/elohim are non-human and that the scene of Psalm 82 is in the heavens and spiritual realm, that is totally false. If that would be true, then Jesus would be in the heavens and in the spiritual realm communicating with His audience (Isreal/gods), we know for a Fact that is not the scene in John 10. Heiser misled many people becasue he Never applied the word gods/elohim to Israel. The gods of the divine council is Israel, Isreal had the law of God. Heiser is correct on the Hebrew wording, but wrong on application, he was a half glass empty/half glass full teacher of scripture>>>>>50/50 Heiser was a overrated and false teacher and was wrong on a lot of his teaching. I found Heiser's teaching false, Mostly all on Psalm 82, Deuteronomy 32, Genesis 6...ect. all his teaching on this divine council he promoted, just a made up fantasy of super angels. People really idolized Heiser. His entire teaching of this so called world view and super natural is what he used to lure and draw people into his teaching was all a fantasy. Heiser was a half glass full half glass empty kind of teacher on this so called super natural of this false divine council. His multiple Phds really are pointless without proper Hermeneutics of scripture, application of proper Context, Logic and Exegesis/Interpretation of text. Heiser was good on Hebrew language, but failed in the other areas I'll repeat it..... like proper Hermeneutics of scripture, application of proper Context, Logic and Exegesis/Interpretation of text. Heiser's fantasy is what attracted his audience along with his PhDs, Heiser did have a way to vocalize and communicate, seemed smart. For the record a person DOES NOT need a PhD to study the bible. The Bible is written for the common person to read and study it. You have to understand what is going on in the world today with the attack on marriage between a man and a woman, as well as God's structure of the family. All these guys that are teaching or have taught angels as sons of God, like Heiser. Rob Skiba (deceased), Gary Wayne, multiple pastors, KZfaq channels, ect... the list goes on and on. Marriage is between a man and a woman, not between a angelic nonhuman spirit being and a woman, or Two poeple of the same gender (LGBTQ Plus community). Woman was created from man, so it is fitting that the Two (male and female) procreate and fill the earth. This is the whole structure of the family and the household unit. These angelic nonhuman spirit beings are NOT included in the institution of marriage, Heiser and all thesse other clowns have promoted this and are promoting it. These all goes against the creativie order that the Lord God established, each kind produces after its own kind. For me the deception is all everywhere now. Another area is that people do not read there Bibles, for me if a person takes their faith seriously, a person would make the attempt to read the entire Bible.

Psalm 82: 2-5 This is all in Context 2 “How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? When a person reads Psalm 82: 2 - 5, that makes more sense that HUMANS (Jews) are being scolded rather than super angels/non human spirit beings. God is on the side of Justice in defending the weak and fatherless as well as rescueing the weak and needy. Israel failed at their delegated task of helping foreigner, which would be individuals from other nations, this just makes sense and logic. Also Israel at times would fall into Idolatry, because of the influence of these pagan nations that surrounded them. The word "gods" also can mean Idols from other nations> Baal or Asherah are examples of false gods. Even in Psalm 81 which was also written by the prophet Asaph 11 “But my people did not listen to my voice; Israel would not submit to me. 12 So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts, to follow their own counsels. 13 Oh, that my people would listen to me, that Israel would walk in my ways! When the Lord God put His words in the prophet Asaph's mouth to communicate it was always to Israel, not a bunch of non human spritit beings/super angels. All this is in Context, Context is King. Even looking at Isaiah 1, God is scolding Judah and their wickedness. God would speak through the prophet Isaiah, no different than the prophet Asaph 1: 17 learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause. 1:23 Your princes are rebels and companions of thieves. Everyone loves a bribe and runs after gifts. They do not bring justice to the fatherless, and the widow's cause does not come to them. 3: 13 "The Lord has taken his place to contend; he stands to judge peoples. This basically the same language in Psalm 82 when God stands and is scolding Israel, this is clearly not a bunch of non human spirit beings/watchers/super angels called a divine council.

Explaining the "sons of God in the book of Job Job 1:5 and 6, "sons of God" presented burnt offerings to God using hermeneutics and foreshadowing of Jesus. Job 1: 5 and 6 “So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus Job did regularly. 6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them.” Job 1:5 is about burnt offerings being presented to God then the next verse talks about sons of God presenting themselves to God . How I see is that how the sons of God presented themselves with burnt offerings, like what Job presented in Job 1:5. Job 1:6 is drawing from Job 1:5, so it is fitting that the sons of God presented burnt offering, most people do not link the verses together. Burnt offerings dealt with sin in the OT and was a foreshadowing of what Jesus did on the Cross, a SACRIFICE for sins. Job 2:1 “Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD. Notice how this is written with describing Satan in Job 1:6 and then Job 2:1. In Job 1:6 Satan shows up ("came among them") and NOT PRESENTING, but the difference in Job 2:1 with Satan is that he is now PRESENTING. In Job 2:1 what is Satan presenting? What Satan is presenting is found in the previous chapter, Job 1:12-19. God allowed Satan to test Job is found in Job 1:12 “ And the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD. Job 1:13-19 explains how Satan is TESTING Job. Job is losing his property and children, so when a person asks in Job 2:1, what is Satan presenting? The previous chapter and verses describe how Satan presented himself. Satan's presentation to God is how he TESTED Job. Also in Job chapter 2 Satan is still allowed to test Job in the following verses. The same logic would apply with the “sons of God” and how they PRESENTED themselves to God. Job1:20 "Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he FELL to the ground and worshiped." The word "FELL" in Job 1:20 when translated to Hebrew is the word Naphal. Hebrew use is the Nephilim would fall (Naphal) to the ground like Job 1:20 mentions, so it would be in a state of worship, probably on their knees. Another note with Job 2:1 with the 'sons of God" is that burnt offerings identify who the 'sons of God" are because of Job 1:5. The other part of identifying the "sons of God" is that probably while the sons of God presented the burnt offerings, is that they would fall (naphal) to the ground while presenting the burnt offering. As a person reads in using Job 1:5 and 6 together and Job 2:1 it is clear that the “sons of God” presented themselves with Burnt Offerings hence forth “bene Elohim”. So many ignore Burnt Offerings and misuse the Hebrew “bene Elohim.” Job 1:5 and 6 are in context. Job 1:6 is drawing from Job 1:5, the two verses are linked together, because Job 1:5 and Job 1:6 are both verses about a presentation to God. To be a “son of God” you need to be SANCTIFIED (made righteous) in God’s sight, that is what the Burnt offering provided for man in that time period. This time period is before Jesus came into the world. Today man is made righteous by faith in the sacrifice Jesus made on the Cross. Burnt Offerings ascended directly to God into the Heavenly realm from the alter on the earth. Burnt offerings also included a perfect sacrifice and with out blemish. Job 1:5 “So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus Job did regularly. Notice also in Job 1:5 the word sanctify. Sanctify means set apart as or declare holy; consecrate · make legitimate or binding by religious sanction · cause to be or seem morally right or acceptable. Synonyms for Sanctify are purify · cleanse · free from sin · absolve · unburden · redeem. Job 1:5 is the previous verse before Job 1:6, where it mentions “sons of God”. So it is very obvious that the “sons of God” are human, not angels or rebellious fallen angels. Angels are not sanctified or presented Burnt Offerings to God. Job 1:5 and Job 1:6 are linked together, because of being sanctified with the burnt offerings, this clearly explains who the "sons of God" are in Job 1:6. Many, Christians never apply Burnt Offerings to who the “sons of God” are. Burnt Offerings is how God provided a way for man to be righteous in God’s sight to be a “son of God”. Burnt Offerings were also a form of worship towards God by man. Burnt Offerings are actually a foreshadowing of Jesus and what He did on the Cross for sinful man. Burnt offerings provided atonement for the sinful condition before a Holy God. When Jesus went to the Cross, His sacrifice superseded the OT burnt offerings. The New Covenant is in the shed Blood of Jesus, that he poured out on the Cross. No need for animal sacrifices and burnt offerings any more. The burnt offerings are just a foreshadowing of what was to come, and that would be what Jesus's sacrifice on the Cross. Basically the burnt offerings in the OT is how God dealt with sin, so an individual could be a "son of God", but in the NT a much better sacrifice was given on a Cross instead of an alter, the sacrifice that Jesus laid down his life for a sacrifice for many who believe by faith to become a son of God or to say a child of God.Both OT and NT sacrifices are substitutes and punishments for sin for the sons of God.

😊😃🙂 VERY CLEAR that Jesus tells us who the gods/elohim are in both Psalm 82 and John 10 are human. Jesus has OWNERSHIP to the answer. Not Heiser. Asaph the Prophet writes ESV Psalm 82: 1 "God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment:>>>>>>word of the Lord (God/Father) comes to prophet Asaph Psalm 82:6 - “I said, you are gods.”>>>>>>>>God (Father speaking thru prophet Asaph) WHY word of the Lord came to prophets like Asaph Psalm 82. John 10: 34-35 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),">>>>>Jesus who is God (Son) Fulfills the words that God (Father) had spoken thru Asaph to Humans. Note in Psalm 82: 1, ESV uses "divine council" other translations use "congregation of the mighty" or "great assembly". Check out the order Jesus uses “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken)," Law "gods" and Prophets (word of the Lord came to Prophets of God) What this is saying at who is in the Middle of the Law and the Prophets, that would be the "gods". The "gods" that Jesus is referencing are from Psalm 82. The "gods" are human and would be the Jews, becasue the Jews were given the Law and had the true Prophets of God. With that said the "gods" are human Jesus has Ownership to the answer of the "gods" of Psalm 82 found in John 10. Heiser is CHEATING Jesus out of the answer and throwing Jesus under the bus. Heiser has lead so many astray with his explanation of Psalm 82. Scripture clearly tells us that the Jews were given the Law and had the Prophets, NOT a bunch of super angels that Heiser promotes. Super angels were NEVER given the Law or had the Prophets of God. Key points (7) 1.What Heiser NEVER explains the "Job Description" of prophets in the Old Testament. Most people are even unaware of who wrote Psalm 82. Asaph the prophet wrote Psalm 82 as well as other Psalms 50, 73-81 and 83. Prophets were the "VOICE" of God that is why it is IMPORTANT that Jesus Repeats and Fulfills these words...... Psalm 82:6 - “I said, you are gods.” ........John 10: 34-35 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken)," Prophets would handle and carry the word of the Lord in the Old Testament, they were the representative of the words God whated to say>>>> the "Voice" of God. Jesus (Son) is fulfill in the New Testament what God (Father) had spoken thru the prophet. Even Moses is in the likeness of God to Pharoh, Exodus 7:1 "And the LORD said to Moses, “See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron shall be your prophet." 2. Since Jesus is repeating what the Father had spoken and said thru the prophtet like Asaph. Since Jesus (Son) is addressing "HUMANS" in John 10, the same is that the God (Father) speaking thru the prophet Asaph in Psalm 82 (Asaph the "Voice" of God) would be addressing HUMANS in Psalm 82. Heiser likes to leave out the "I said" declaration of Jesus (Son) in John 10 and the the "I said" by God (Father) speaking thru the Prophet Asaph of Psalm 82. Jesus is God, God is ONE God made up of 3 persons Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The "I said" delararation is no different than an "I am" declaration. 3. The Godhead/Trinity This is how the 3 persons within the Godhead opearate and function. Only the Holy Spirit (God) can convince a person to understand why the Son (God) has to fulfill the words that the Father (God) that were spoken by the prophet like Asaph and other prophets as well in the Old Testament. It is Said that Jesus has fulfilled over 350 prophecies of in the New Testament from the prophets from the Old Testament. Even Isaiah the prophet who wrote Isaiah 53 was the "Voice" of God in the Old Testament, so Jesus can Fulfill what was said in Isaiah 53.....Isaiah 53 is about the Crucifixion of Christ. Jesus has Ownership to both prophets Isaiah and Asaph of what they wrote and how God (Father) spoke thru them. Prophets were given the word of the Lord 4. Jesus is the word/Word become flesh John 1: 14 "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." Jesus fulfills the Law and the Prophets, Jesus says in Matthew 5:17 "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill." No super angels of a divine council were ever given the Law and the Prophets, it would be the Nation of Israel 5. God has always set up rulers within the nation of Israel and even throughout the world. In Numbers 11: 16 “So the LORD said to Moses: “Gather to Me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people and officers over them; bring them to the tabernacle of meeting, that they may stand there with you.” 1 Samuel 8 : 1-4 When Samuel became old, he made his sons judges over Israel. 2 The name of his firstborn son was Joel, and the name of his second, Abijah; they were judges in Beersheba. 3 Yet his sons did not walk in his ways but turned aside after gain. They took bribes and perverted justice. 4 Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah. God has ALWAYS set up Governements in the world not just with in the Nation of Israel, Romans 13: 1 "Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God." 6. Clearly the "gods/elohim" of Psalm 82 are human judges, some even apply kings. The Old Testament has a book called Judges as well as two other books 1 Kings & 2 Kings. No book in scripture is applied to something nonhuman or angelic. Psalm 82:6 "“I said, ‘You are “gods”; you are all sons of the Most High.’.... The word "sons" used in this passage is an "Adoptive" Term for Israel, Israel was the chosen people of God. 7. Psalm 89 has NOTHING to do with Psalm 82. Hieser likes to mix those chapters together. Psalm 89 is in the heavenly and spirtual realm when Psalm 82 is on the earth and the physical world. The same logic heavenly and spiriitual would apply to 2 Chronicles 18:21 and 1 Kings 22:19-23 where it mentions a scene in heaven and the lying spirit. The heavenly hosts in scripture refers to the sun, moon and stars. In Summary The Humans are Jewish rulers in both Psalm 82 and John 10. Psalm 82 Jewish rulers like judges or even kings. John 10 Jewish rulers like pharissees. Psalm 82 would be human, NOT a bunch of super angels, like Heiser promotes. Heiser throws Jesus under the bus. Heiser CANNOT answer the question of the gods/elohim of Psalm 82 becasue Jesus has already answered the question of the gods/elohim in John 10. Jesus has Ownership to the answer, since Jesus is addressing humans in John 10 the same would be humans are being addressed in Psalm 82, not a bunch of super angels of a divine council. Heiser has manipulated so many minds and has triggered the mind to think this "divine council" is non human. Jesus clearly gives us the answer the divine council is human. The phrase and title given "you are gods" is a legalistic title of Authority because the Jews were given the Law and as well as judge with the law. The Jews were given the Law and 10 commandments to govern them and council them, so it is imposible for this to be nonhuman spirit beings or angels. The Jews also had the True Prophets of God. God also established covenants with Humans, not nonhuman spirit beings or angels. 😀😃🙂

For me the book of Enoch is "Fools Gold", read thru it, a Big NO to the book, to many problems with it, to put the book of Enoch in simple terms it is a Jewish Fables and Mythology. Which is interesting with this Heiser guy, he is a hypocrite. Heiser himself turns the Bible into Mytholgy, look at what he does with Genesis 6, he thinks these "sons of God" are a bunch of super angels of a divine council which he gets from Psalm 82, where in Psalm 82 he teaches the "gods" are these super angels, which is Polytheism. In Psalm 82 the "gods" are human who are Jews that are given authority and rule, Jesus answers the question of the "gods" of Psalm 82 in John 10, very clearly. Not a bunch of super angels. Jesus has Ownership to the answer of the "gods/elohim" of Psalm 82 in John 10. Even the Context of Psalm 82 does not support these super angels theory. Psalm 82: 2-3 2 “How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah 3 Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Why would a bunch of super angels in verse 3 and 4 give justice to the weak and fatherless?......as well and maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute? Getting back to Genesis 6 the "sons of God" are mentioned in Genesis 5, the Patriarchs (Genealogy line) are the "sons of God", NOT a bunch of super angels like Heiser promotes and many many others. Even the Context of Genesis 5 and 6 fits because when scripture was First written there was NO Chapter breaks or verse breaks. What Moses is doing with writing Genesis 6 as "sons of God" is summarizing Genesis 5 into one class. A persons will find that same Geneaology line in Luke 3: 36-38 which is the line that leads us to Christ who is the "Son of God". There is no such rebellion in Genesis 6 like Heiser foolishly promotes. Heiser is one of the biggest false teachers within Christianity today, and so many people put him on a pedestal. Heiser does a great job of mixing polytheism and mythology together to lead people astray. Since Heiser believes in super angels does he believe in Santa Clause to?

Biggest problem with Calvinist is that they ask the question does God chose you or do you chose God? That whole question is misleading, my view is within the Godhead (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) Before creation of Heaven and Earth and even Before Satan fell from Heaven and the fall of man from the Glory of God.... The Son (Jesus Christ) was chosen meaning the Father (God) chose His Son (Jesus) before anything was even created or sin and rebellion existed. Man had lost that image of God meaning the Glorly, pure sinless body, but still kept the likeness of God meaning the enternal soul. The bodies man has is from Adam a sinful and corruptable body that has to die, but the soul lives forever. Only Jesus who was always chosen was to Restore that image for the soul with a Glorified and Resurrected body for the soul after death, this comes by Faith, henceforth that is how a soul is predestidated to Christ. To put it simple the soul of a person is chosen in Christ as well as your identy and association with Christ, that would be your sons of God in both Old Testament and New Testament, which this Heiser guy has massively Failed on explaining the sons of God in both Old Testament and New Testament. Heiser replaces Faith with fantasy. A person has to remember since Jesus was Chosen, He is the True faithful One of God, by our Faith we are comformed to His image being called sons of God or children of God. Another part of Jesus being chosen is that he was chosen to be slain and sacrificed on a Cross for the wages of sin, Jesus paid the sin debt in full with the giving of his body and sheding His blood. Before that God used the animal sacrifices and the sheding of their blood to pay for sin and atone for sin, but Jesus completed all the sacrifices on the Cross and made the final payment for sin. Sad part some are not chosen in Christ and have no identity or association with Christ they will experience the second death and will be eternally lost cast out into the lake of fire on the day of judgement.

Thumbs down Mr. Lawson👎👎👎 VERY CLEAR that Jesus tells us who the gods/elohim are in both Psalm 82 and John 10 are human. Jesus has OWNERSHIP to the answer. Not Mr. Lawson, seems like Mr. Lawson gets his exlplanation from Micahael Heiser. Mr. Lawson is CHEATING Jesus out of the answer and throwing Jesus under the bus. Scripture clearly tells us that the Jews were given the Law and had the Prophets, NOT a bunch of angels. Angels were NEVER given the Law or had the Prophets of God. Since both Asaph and John used the "gods" both form the Old Testament and New Testament Parallel or mirror each other. Asaph the prophet uses the word "gods" twice Psalm 82: verse 1 and verse 6 so does John use the word "gods" twice John 10: verse 34 and verse 35. Jesus 100% has answered the question of the "gods" of Psalm 82, because humans (Jews) in are being addressed John 10 no different that humans (Jews) are being addressed in Psalm 82. A person has to understand the 3 persons (Godhead/Trintiy) of God to understand this. Both the Father and Son are God, Jesus (Son) Repeats what God (Father) had spoken through the Prophet Asaph of Psalm 82 and John records the words of Jesus in John 10. The "gods" are Human in Psalm 82, NOT a bunch of angels. Key points (7) 1.What Mr. Lawson NEVER explains the "Job Description" of prophets in the Old Testament. Mr. Lawson left out the "I said" declaration of Jesus (Son) in John 10 and the the "I said" by God (Father) speaking thru the Prophet Asaph of Psalm 82. Jesus is God, God is ONE God made up of 3 persons Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The "I said" delararation is no different than an "I am" declaration. The "I am" declarations of God from the Old Testament, and Jesus spoke and claimed the "I am" declarations in the Gospel of John. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill." No angels of a "divine council", "congregation of the mighty" or "great assembly" were ever given the Law and the Prophets, it would be the Nation of Israel 5. KJV "I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High." The KJV does NOT even use the word "sons" it uses "children" which Mr. Lawson tries to bring in Genesis 6 "sons" of God. Genesis 6 sons of God are not angels they are the Patriachs found in the previous chapter Genesis 5. Genesis 5 is found in Luke 3 the Genealogy line that leads to Jesus. Angels do not have a Genealogy that leads to Jesus. Angels have NEVER been the sons of God. Angels do no marry women, procreate and start families, that 100% redefines Marriage and the institution of family. This is NO different then what the LGBQT plus community promotes, redefining marriage and the family. Also angels were created in the spiritual realm, where mankind was created from the earth, so the creation from the earth can reproduce and populate the earth. Angels CANNOT reproduce or populate the earth. Mr. Lawson Humanizes angels to prove his point in his teaching. Angels are spirit not flesh and blood. Have to remember God is in a covenant relationship with mankind not angels, The Patriachs called on the name of the Lord and presented the Lord God with burnt offerings and animal sacrifices (flesh and blood). The animal sacrifice foreshadow the Sacrifice of Jesus and the final payment for sin. Sacrices whether on an Alter or the on the Cross is a blood covenant between God and man. New covenant is in the blood of Jesus, old was with animals. Angels NEVER presented any kind of sacrifice unto the Lord God. 7. Some like to add Psalm 89, Psalm 89 has NOTHING to do with Psalm 82. Psalm 89 is in the heavenly and spirtual realm when Psalm 82 is on the earth and the physical world. In Summary The Humans are Jewish rulers in both Psalm 82 and John 10. Psalm 82 Jewish rulers like judges or even kings. John 10 Jewish rulers like pharissees. Psalm 82 would be human, NOT a bunch of angels. Mr. Lawson throws Jesus under the bus. Mr. Lawson CANNOT answer the question of the gods/elohim of Psalm 82 becasue Jesus has already answered the question of the god/elohim in John 10. Jesus has Ownership to the answer, since Jesus is addressing humans in John 10 the same would be humans are being addressed in Psalm 82, not a bunch of angels of a divine council, congregation of the mighty or "great assembly. Jesus clearly gives us the answer the gods are human.

Like I said in my comment to me Heiser is a mentor of error. To me Heiser was a false teacher and was wrong on a lot of his teaching. How God used Heiser for me is to study scripture and see what this Heiser guy is saying is true or false. I found Heiser's teaching false, Mostly all on Psalm 82, Deuteronomy 32, Genesis 6...ect. all his teaching on this divine council he promoted, just a made up fantasy of super angels. That is a over statement when you say>>>>>>He has out educated your pastor and 1000 other pastors who might have a PhD in only one thing

I suggest reread the comment. Have you ever actually read Heiser's work?>>>>>>> Yes very familiar with Heiser's work. That is why I post this coment. Many things you are saying aren't true of it. >>>>>>Wow you completely Ignored Jesus, Jesus is the Truth. The purpose of the comment is to POINT you to Jesus. By the way, Heiser has said many times that these are not his ideas, he just put them together. It comes from scholarly work and 2nd temple texts (what jews at the time of the writing were actually thinking).>>>>>> That is the problem, that is ALL man centered thinking. What the Jews thought is irrelevant, is does not matter, no value The view I hold to is Christ Centered Thinking You've also clearly never listened to his comments on John 10, it certainly elevates Christ and does use Jesus's words to explain the text. >>>>>Yes I have his comments on John 10 are garbage, Heiser never elavated Christ and he misuses the text. Heiser Never paired up " I said, “You are gods" in Psalm 82:6 and John 10:34 with the Father and Son that is why Jesus says John 10:30 "I and the Father are one." all this leads into " I said, “You are gods" in John 10:34 which Jesus the Son is repeating the SAME words the Father spoke through the prophet Asaph in Psalm 82:6 I think his views do the best to explain the text. I could be wrong.>>>>> at least you admit you could be wrong, but first you have to admit Heiser was wrong and Jesus is RIGHT. None of this changes the gospel or essential Christian theology>>>>No it does NOT change the gospel message and what Christ did on the Cross and giving is life for ours, But essential Christian theology is effected, because Christians do not look at Jesus as teacher (Rabi), that Jesus teaches us that Israel are the gods/elohim. Where Heiser failed is , this is just the ones I noticed 1. Heiser never taught his audience the "Job discription" of prophets, like Aspah, that prophets were inspired and were given the word of the Lord, word of the Lord would come to prophets in the OT, so Jesus in the NT can fulfil those words. Heiser ignored that prophets were the voice of God in the Old Testament. 2. Heiser was man centered thinking, Not Christ Centered thinking, he never applied Christ to his teaching. 3. Heiser never explained the Trinity to his audience, one thing is sure he never applied the Trinity, not even sure if Heiser even beleived in the Trinity. Genesis 1:26 is a good example, Heiser view on Genesis 1:26 is anti-Trinity. Just loooking at Heiser's view of Psalm 82, he was anti-Christ. 4. Heiser was a fallible and misleading, used words like super natural, gods/elohim, divine council, unseen realm, and other words to trigger the human mind. Heiser was rich on vocabulary, just with that he was a crafty speaker and deceptive. Where Jesus is God and infallible, the Super Natural belongs to God 5. Heiser redefined marriage and attacked marriage, marriage is between a man and a woman, not between watcher/super angels and women. Genesis 6 is another good example. Now days there is so much confusion with marriage, gender identiity and God's instiution for marriage and the family. Woman came from Man so it is fitting the 2 marry and procreate for a family. Sure isn't for watchers/angels to marry woman and procreate, totally blasphemous, but people are Stupid enough to beleive it. 6. Heiser went against the creative order and attacked the creative order, each kind produces after its own kind. watcher/super angels have no precreative capabilities, and do not have blood or blood lines, Genesis 6 is another good example. 7. Heiser brought polytheism into Psalm 82 with these gods/elohim making up a divine council of watcher/super angels. In reality according to Jesus the gods/elohim are 100% human which are Israelites (Jacob's descendents). Israel are the gods/elohim who had the law of God, 10 commandments, prophets of God, word of the Lord. Israel was God's chosen people, they were elavate to a status of "gods/elohim". 8. Heiser just took the angel view sons of God in the Old Testament and made the lie even bigger. The bigger the lie the more people will beleive the lie. That is pretty much what a person see's on You tube all these clowns promoting angels as sons of God. from the OT. The sons of God are the same in both OT and NT, they are the faithful, righteous souls that are associated with Christ and His sacrifice. The sons of God of the OT are litterally the patriarchs/fathers like Genesis 5 and Job from the book of Job. 9. Heiser was also misleading on Deuteronomy 32:8, Job 1 Job 2 and his 3 rebellions(Genesis 3, 6 and 11) was also False and many other parts of scripture. Psalm 89 has nothing to do with Psalm 82, he mislead many on that as well. 10. Heiser's book the unseen realm turns the Bible into a science fiction fantasy. 11. Heiser never applied Context to explaining scripture, was to influenced by 2nd temple literature and this so called "World view". When Paul rights in Romans 12:2" Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Heiser did an excellent job of conforming a person to the world. Basically Heiser was Stupid on his view of Psalm 82, like the saying goes, "You can't fix Stupid". Heiser was a Blind and Stupid Apostate, he mislead many. But I personally believe God did use Heiser, but for error, also in scripture God will send a STRONG Dellusion, I beleive this kind of teaching from Heiser is part of that Dellusioin. Many were deceived by Heiser's false teachings.
