My PS1 comes in the mail tomorrow sent it off to get PS1Digital and PSIO switch board installed. The gentleman was kind enough to install the switch board free only charged for the PS1Digital. Going to dismantle the CD drive clean and grease it to get it nice and quiet then playing through Xenogears and Legend of Dragoon straight away! I’m so excited, I even got a Brooks adapter so I can use a PS4 controller wired on my PS1.

Nice review, just so you know you can manually set the EXTDSP for an individual game. Go to that games folder and create a file named K1V1 , KIV2, or K1V3 with no extension to force that game into that mode.

I don't personally think it's worth getting. Cost , hassle and it uses the action Replay port. Think I would prefer similar to Dreamcast or saga Saturn.

Action Replay codes will be coming as a feature so that's not an issue.

@@DaveDoc1984 it still won't matter to me unless they added action Replay pro to it, where u can add Ur own code's Via freezing the game and searching values. It needs a lot of work before I'd consider it. I love ROM mods

I wish more optical drive emulators were like this one. Unplugging the PSIO restores drive functionality. GDEMU for DC and the Saturn ones completely replace the drive so I can't play genuine physical copies, and it'd be annoying to burn so many discs to go that route. BUT flash carts do at least guarantee a much longer lifespan as optical lasers tend to be the first thing to go when it comes to age.

I think they should make a version that replaces the disc drive and is plug-n-play, like GD-EMU.

Great review DGR! Usually those Micro SD Card adapters are pretty poorly made, so that could very well be your problem. If it is not, it's either a poor connection with the parallel port or an issue with the Switch Board soldering. Either way, you can always send it on back to us and we'll replace the cartridge for you if there is a fault with it :)

Mine is definitely an issue with the SD Slot Cybdyn Systems. When it does the stuck on Sony Logo issue, if I switch off the console, put a tiny amount of pressure on the label side of the SD card and power up the console it works everytime. If I put a tiny amount of pressure on the SD Card contacts side I get the Sony logo behaviour.
