Hands down best jazz fusion trio ever ! The music world does not know how great Phillipe Saisse is ... Besides his great Technique and melodic harmonic playing he also gets the best keyboard sounds ..

@bontromium Sounds like 6/4 during the beginning ('verse'). You count '1' on the downbeat that is played on both bass drum and open hi-hat. It's 4/8 during the chorus. Correct me if I am wrong.
@denisdrummer7512 жыл бұрын
@SimonBak90 I'd rather think : 11/8 for the verse, then 4/4 during the chorus (2xverse, 2xchorus) then 11/8 during the bridge (Philippe's solo). I still find it hard to count during the 'links' between the verses (11/8) and choruses (4/4). Very high level by the way and cool guys. I was so happy to see them in concert in Paris. Thanks SimonBak90 for posting!

Listening to this great piece tonite and reading comments regarding the time sig etc. I have to admit when it gets to these types of time structures I just feel it out and not totally rely on counting it . 99 % of the time I am good on it. Maybe it is that I've been playing bass since the dawn of time and the ears get so accustomed to it all, Not super formally trained in any way I just say to the guys: don't describe it, just play it and I will get in there after a few bars. Your thoughts ?
