if i had one unbricked PSP with CFW i could make pandora battery out of my battery and order any memory stick and turn it into magic memory stick myself. otherwise i have to pay 85 eur with import fees for pandora battery

Cheers mate. I was running 5.50 Gen D2, originally hacked away back when, in fact a friend did it for me and I was reticent in updating it because I didn't know exactly how he'd applied it. So now fully updated to the lastest Pro-C just like my sons one which I hacked ages ago.

I picked up a cheap PSP-2000 that was stuck on an old 5.50 CFW. I have no experience with PSP modding so I had no idea what to do to return it to stock and update to a better CFW. Your step on modifying the text file on the PSP allowed me to install 6.61 and enabled me to set the device up as I want to. Thank you!

awesome tutorial, thanks a lot! i was not able to access VHS menu, maybe my select button is broken. anyone else with this issue, just go to your recovery menu via holding down the R button when turning on the PSP. Then head to config and XMB USB device where you can set it to flash 0. games run great now.

thanks for the video I just updated my PSP 1000 from 5.50 Gen D3 to 6.60 ME 2.3 but after the update most-to-all of my games almost all the time won't run (error 80020148) or freeze and crash, I've tried different ISO modes but the results were the same... what do you think?

Don't use 6.60 ME and update to 6.60 Pro-C or 6.60 infinity as it's more stable

@@HeyHaffiz I did a lot of research beforehand and I specifically choose ME over PRO due to the more advanced vhs menu and I really like it, it gives a lot of good options; there's no way I could make it work with ME...?☹️ update: ok so the problem is definitely because of UMD ISO Mode, after the update some of my games only run on ME driver, some only on M33, some on both but on multiple attempts (up to 6 tries! its a bit annoying but honestly I don't mind it much); Inferno & OE isofs can't run ANY of my games, Sony NP9660 can run some of them on top of all of this after the update PSP recognises some of my *before-update* backed up save files as corrupted (ironically its the two games I played most and bust my butt in the process of their progress, GTA Vice City Stories & Ace Combat Skies of Deception)

Hello I am trying to do this on my original psp1001 that was modded almost ten years ago and currently has 5.50 gen 2. When trying to change over to flash 0 I only have 1 and 3. Please if anyone know what I should do from here I would greatly appreciate it. I've put a lot of work into getting this thing going and I'm almost at the point of giving up. Thanks in advanced.

Yes, you can permanently update the permanent 6.61 pro infinity. We have a video on schedule for mid march. Do subscribe and you will be notified of it when it gets release

What is your current firmware? Skip the first part and proceed to just upgrading to 6.60 then go 6.60 pro-c

I already follow each instruction from your video regarding to hacked my PSP 1000 but unfortunately I'm stuck when trying to update the official firmware ver.6.60. The screen shows this: "The system configuration of this PSP system does not appear to be correct. The update cannot be started. Contact technical support for assistance. Watch the video again and follow step by step. You need to change to flash 0 first to access the text file. Later change to flash 1 so if can update to 6.60 fw before you can update to 6.60 custom firmware

I have follow all your instructions but the result is still the same. - Format memory stick via psp. - Select VSH menu and change to flash 0. - Connected psp to USB and open VHS folder > ETC folder > version.txt. - Change the version from 9.90 to 5.50 and save. - Disconnected psp from usb connection. - Select VSH menu and change to memory stick. - Connected psp to USB. - Copy and paste ISO & PSP folder from Step 1 folder to memory stick. - Disconnected psp from usb connection. - Select VSH menu and change to flash 1. - Go to PSP and open 'GAME' folder. - Select PSP Official Update ver. 6.60 and press to launch the update. - But the screen still shows this: "The system configuration of this PSP system does not appear to be correct. The update cannot be started. Contact technical support for assistance. (DRNFFFFFFCD)" It's possible that cfw 5.50 GEN-D(FULL) can't be unlocked?

@@HeyHaffiz I follow all the steps in the video, but instead of connecting the PSP via USB cable to the PC, I directly connect the memory stick to the PC. And I only see the typical ISO, PSP, VIDEO folders... So I don't know how to do it 😭😂
