@@martinsimracing1255 Nope it's not always plug and play. Lot's of pc games aren't optimised for VR, a sim like Rfactor 2 is like 10 years old and with my 3090 I have to downgrade my graphics....it's ridiculous.

Also they are stuck with low contrast LCD headsets. OLED gives a far better VR experience.

Yes, I haven’t studied why I’m slower but I feel like I will be slower with any view not bumper can just because that’s what I am use to. So I think over time the speed will come. Also do you agree that you natural catch slide and recover the car better when you make a mistake?

Totally agree! I just released another video showing how I got faster once I got use to the view. I’m never ing going back and honestly even if I was slower I would stay with this. Currently an A driver just barely.

what I notice the most in VR is the difference in how the cars drive. Tried the NSX and the oversteer was insane and the car felt so different compared to say the BRZ that had a lot more understeer.

I have the same feeling. I remember when I got my PS 2 and I was playing madden and me and a friend were like wow they blink their eyes! Lol. I have that feeling again and it’s great! I had the psvr 1 and was wowed for a day but their wasn’t anything like GT7 that wowed me. I have the next level racing F/GT and dd pro and I am very happy with both . I chose that cockpit because it had a seat with it and now I’m glad I have it so that if F1 comes to PSVR2 I can switch to Formula position. Thanks for the compliments.

Oh you want be disappointed! Just keep in my mind that there are some compromises on picture quality. Not so much up close but when looking into the distance and such. I had enough VR experience that I realize how amazing this is. Also very very important with headset to set it up just how they tell and that includes the actually way they tell you to put it on. Because you have to find the right spot for the picture to be all it can be, it’s pretty easy once you do it a few times and keep the lens wiped down with a cloth like you use on glasses and don’t touch them with anything else. Let me know what you think . Do the Daytona race first , it will blow your mind.

@Martin Sim Racing totally agree vr and gt7 has totally gone hand in hand. They have really set the bar for future games.

I think the games will come. I think this is a long term plan for Sony. If you have ever played and like a game like resident evil please play resident evil 8 it is amazing in VR. That and GT7 should keep you busy for awhile.

Yeah, I agree with you. I really only see it when turning my head to the side while I’m racing I don’t notice it. Hopefully they can patch some of that out with software updates as we go along but I think as we keep racing we will stop to looking for these things, less and less, and we won’t notice them at all while racing. You should definitely invest in a rig. If you love racing games, it’s been one year ago since I bought my set up and I am so happy that I did.

Rig+Wheel and shifter are amazing with PSVR2.

Ghosting in gt7 seems to be improved allot since update, not perfect, but far more tolerable

Love GT7, I will tell you that Resident Evil 8 is very close to a must have experience. I have been blown away by both games. The guns and running from the bosses and such. The way the headset vibrates with the shotgun is amazing.

GT7 is exactly that! People are buying PS5s, VR2s and sim rigs for it.

Thanks There are many choices for steering wheels. It really depends on your budget and how much you think you will use it. I have the fantec dd pro with load cell brake and it’s awesome. But most people start out with a Logitech g29 or thrust master . Also you will need a cockpit to Mount it all to and the better the wheel base you have the stronger the cockpit needs to be . I have the next level racing F/ GT cockpit and it works week with my dd pro.

Yes, that is correct it’s really called reprojection I believe and I can definitely live with it but it is the biggest and really the only negative that stands out a lot in GT7 but it is very obvious. Hopefully they can lessen it with software updates but I doubt it will ever go away in this generation. But I still love GT7 VR and I mean I really love it like a whole lot lol as you can tell.

Not sure there are any better VR headsets at the moment because they are all low contrast LCD which is crap for VR. Good OLED headsets like this one are not available yet for PCVR. Maybe next year.

I do, I have the fanatec dd pro with csl elite V2 pedals and a next level racing f/gt cockpit. It’s expensive, if you aren’t super into racing then I would look at the Logitech G29 and mod the brake. When you get it if you like Resident evil try Resident evil 8 it is really good in VR.

Yes I understand, So I can’t remember all of them but these are the ones I tried for free NFL Star Wars Puzzle game ( can’t remember the name but it was cool) Horizon Drums Rock Song in smoke Resident Evil 8 I think there are others but you can’t get a demo of GT7 but it is great for VR in my opinion and if you own it the VR is free. The two games I own are GT7 and Resident Evil 8 . Both are amazing. Like really good. They are what I want VR to be and hopefully we will get more of that stuff. Just keep I. Mind the graphics will not be as clear in VR but for VR they are really really good. The controllers and haptic feed back in the head set are awesome especially on Resident evil 8 . For example when you shoot a pistol in RE8 you get alittle buzz in the head but when you shoot a shotgun it buzz’s hard and you really feel like you shot a shot gun.

Also I do have PS plus, not sure if it’s required to play the demos. GT7 doesn’t require PS Plus for online play.

Man I love Dirt Rally 2.0, I am hoping that it comes to PSVR 2 since Dirt Rally 1 was on PSVR and I just figure if GT7 can do it so can they.

Absolutely, as long as you own the PS5 version of GT7. It was a free update, your good to go if you have PSVR 2

I wouldn’t mind trying that out.

I'm thinking about doing a video where I sit in the car and describe what I see in detail then you could decide if this is the same for you. Because you might have higher expectations and this may not be for you or you may have a faulty headset or not wear it properly. Do you check the adjustment in the setting and does it show that your eyes are inside the circles? Do you ever redo the eye-tracking setting as well? Also, wipe the lens with a clean glasses cloth every time. When you sit in the car the cockpit and the interior of the car should be close to flat screen quality. The cars close by when racing should look pretty clear but not as good as the cockpit and objects in the distance will be blurry. When you wear the headset look closely at the text in the menus move the headset around a bit and watch how the text gets clearer and blurrier, If that text is clear and then you go into the game and the picture is not good to you then it just might not meet your expectations but if you can't get that text clear and the cockpit doesn't look good you may have a bad headset.

Everything that is close up visually is as good as a good PS4 game except in 3D like you are actually there. Once things are farther away there is some blurring to deal with but that sort of the way VR is right now. You have to be certain you have set it up correctly like it shows you and keep the lens clean. Also when looking at objects that are moving slow or standing still compared to you there is ghosting but it’s not noticeable when racing because you are focused on looking ahead. The sence of speed is awesome! Once you really get into a race it feels as though you are really there and sometimes when you crash your brain thinks it’s real for a moment. It is just so awesome. Just go into it understanding that the graphics are not quiet as good as flat screen but it is very worth it. And the graphics are outstanding for VR.

Also I don’t find the headset uncomfortable but after a few hours I need to take it off for a bit and rest my head. I’m not going back to flat screen though.

@@martinsimracing1255 thanks for the replies man. I have a quest 2 with the base strap so this should be an improvement. The graphics do look great. My top picks for when I get my headset will be gt7 and kayak mirage because it looks stunning. I also want to be a wheel and pedals for it so that I can get the full experience. I do have another question to ask. Can I just set a steering wheel on my desk, or do I need to buy a stand to hold it?

@@Yunoyunomiles that really depends on the wheel. With something like a Logitech it will clamp to the desk but if you go with a direct drive like fanatec dd pro with a load cell brake you will need a decent cockpit because the loadcell requires you to press the brake hard and the wheel base is alot stronger.

Good tip! I have also read on Reddit where someone was saying that ghosting was worse if your wheel base was plugged into the front port causing interference. I don’t think that’s the case but I did see someone mention it.

Yeah it’s awesome. I did it some with Dirt Rally 1 on PS4 PSVR1 but it wasn’t close to this. What games do you play on PC and what card do you have and headset. Have you gotten to try PSVR2 for a comparison yet ? If so how did it compare? This is so good I now am interested in how much better it can get. I wouldn’t want to spend thousands more for only an incremental gain so a comparison from someone who has done both would be interesting.

....also signal lights, hazzard lights, wipers with different speeds, headlights & brights. So many little things in Assetta Corsa that makes it the best VR sim game for me right now.

@@martinsimracing1255 Judging from your video, I'm assuming you tried racing in the first PSVR. Would you say the PSVR2 is less motion sickness inducing? I didn't get it too bad with the old one, but bad enough that I only used it once or twice in a year and then sold it on.

I did dirt rally one and gt sport in VR and I would say PSVR 2 is less on motion sickness but I don’t ever have a problem with VR motion sickness so far.
