@@shadow23498 Elaine was so incompetent when she argued about the psychologist's bias. All she had to ask was "have you ever testified negatively towards someone who hired you?" Then she can establish the history as a sign of bias. Instead Elaine wanted her to speculate about this specific case, then argued it wasn't speculation. Then complained when she couldn't ask the question. Good grief. She's a high priced lawyer, if I can figure this out as a layperson, she should be able to.

@nelsonribeiro14712 жыл бұрын
She was trying to make her look like she was on Depp side all the questions before that, that last question she got objected was the final question to make her point that she was saying what team depp wanted, that's why the lawyer was so upset that even argued against the objection, you can even notice she was looking for more questions but because she didn't had any more questions she jumped to that last question that she had already think of.

IMO, many lawyers have gotten use to dealing with most Americans, who're defensive and impulsive with what they say. During a trial, what you say can be turned around against you in various ways. Really, a good lawyer is capable of manipulating language in this way. What most lawyers are NOT prepared for is someone who understands the nuance of language, psychology, and the proper means to frame things. Curry did a fine job detailing precisely what was in her statement, and NOT give in to loose malleable statements designed to be misinterpreted. So if you're a lawyer who is not use to someone doing this, it can put you in a loop dealing with it. Plus given the topic (Amber Heard's mental health), discrediting her was a key part of the case....which Amber's team failed at.

Here's what we've got so far from Amber: 1) He wasn't the only alcoholic and drug abuser. She drank 2 bottles of wine a day, took drugs as well by her own admission. 2) Caught lying about using the makeup that didn't exist back then to cover her bruises frequently, which was refuted by the makeup company. 3) Past DV arrest against her ex, admitted to DV against Johnny, suspicion of DV against her own sister (her sister was discussing it with her friends by the poolside in a video clip), and assaulted her ex-best friend in public. In contrast Johnny has no history of being violent towards women, and his ex-spouses all speak highly of him. 4) Audio recording of her admitting to cutting his finger in Australia (not allowed in this trial due to technicalities), proving again that her testimony was a lie. 5) Her psychologist lied about Amber having no DV history and was caught out by Johnny's lawyer. 6) Has NO witnesses or evidence (all conveniently random strangers that she doesn't know or deceased people like the bodyguard) 7) DV lawyers analyzing the case said her broken nose is fake and doesn't look like any of the countless injuries they've seen, and it's impossible to cover the swelling and bruising with makeup. 8) A former FBI and CIA body language expert said she shows signs of deception. 9) Allegedly got her nose broken, hit multiple times, her scalp and hair ripped off, penetrated by a bottle, dragged over broken glass and got her arms and legs "pretty cut up", then somehow felt safe enough to take sleeping pills with her "attacker" in the same house, woke up the next day and made him coffee, then went to James Corden's show miraculously healed. No marks, no scars, no pictures, no medical report . Hair stylist saw no signs of abuse. 10) Multiple witnesses (including 3 cops) saw no signs of abuse. 11) Claimed she wanted to leave Johnny, but in all the audio clips she was the one begging him to stay . 12) Claimed she always tried to de-escalate, but in audio clips she was always the aggressor preventing him from leaving and taunting him . 13) Allegedly feared for her life but bought him a large knife . 14) Allegedly hated his drinking problem and wanted to help him quit, but drank in front of him all the time . 15) Was completely different in her 2016 deposition, where she was arrogant and smirking. 16) Proven once again as a liar when she went back on her public promise to donate her divorce money to a children's hospital. 17) Fits Dr Curry's assessment of her mental disorders: >A) Overly dramatic and embellishment (He beat me up like in a scene from the Avengers) >B) Flowery language (He was the love of my life, It felt like a warm glow) >C) Lacks actual substance (He beat me and I thought oh the carpet is dirty. There was mashed potatoes on the wall and my dog stepped on a bee, but oops I don't remember if I threw the bottle at him.) >D) Mimicking (Copied Johnny's outfits every day and Dr Curry's hairstyle) >E) Needy and needs approval (Audio of her refusing to let Johnny leave) >F) Sense of shallowness (Facial expression changes in 0.5s whenever Camille objection stunlocks her) >G) Externalization of blame (Never takes accountability for anything and paints herself as an angel) >H) Deep seated anger and abuse of partners (DV) >I) Manipulation and self-centred (Gaslighting: Look what you made me do Johnny) >J) Fear of abandonment (Audio in Australia post finger accident of her crying and afraid it's over with Johnny) >K) Make a lot of accusations when feeling slighted (Threatens with restraining order and abuse claims after Johnny wants to leave her) >L) Makes threats with legal system to keep partner from leaving (Threatens with restraining order and abuse claims after Johnny wants to leave her)

The fact that people are still defending her when all of this can be proven is wild to me. She was the agresor and even their marriage counselor said that she took pride out of starting conflict with him.

This is a perfect example of why the pandemic offers us an opportunity to make trials more fair, by playing them to the jury on a 90-second delay. Counsel plants knowingly false ideas in the heads of the jury; in a delay situation many of defense counsel's questions would be objected to, objection sustained, and the jury would never hear the false-trail questions. Eventually, as counsel realizes that they can't get away with it any longer, trials would be much shorter, reducing the backlog in many court systems.

Ambers lawyer is the definition of "fishing without bait, without tackle, and with no idea where there's water".

She’s so soft in her direct attack it’s devastating. any time she feels the need to expand her explanation, the lawyer is utterly dumbfounded.

5:19 is just sloppy by AH's lawyers. They heard Dr. Curry say that she gave muffins to AH and told them they were from her husband, and automatically assumed that this must have meant that Dr. Curry must have told her husband about AH. Totally unreasonable logical jump. And it backfired really badly.

dude i feel so bad for amber's lawyers! they basically weren't given anything to work with to form an argument against johnny so they were left to take anything they could get and run with it.

I could never quite decide whether the lawyer is just terrible at her job, or if Amber Heard had so little leg to stand on that there was no way she could have done a good job. Maybe a bit of both.

Excellent! Dr Shannon Curry evinced more credibility in a knowing 4-second smile than Heard's lawyer has throughout the 4-week trial! Thumbs up if you caught the epic irony of Heard's lackluste lawyer trying to discredit Dr Curry. Haha, I know which I'd hire!!
