Oh, how this song makes me reflect on my younger days. So many memories flood my mind. I hate being an adult. I would give anything to be a kid again and have no worries in the world. Great reaction, Tom ✌❤

I love the Gospel roots to this song. It shows NF's foundational beginnings and pays homage to his roots. The choir adds an unparalleled power to the song. One of NF's first performances before he was known, was of him in a church, rapping. You can find the video on YT.

Finally my favorite NF song! Thank you so much Tom! I need to check out the Patreon page and I loved how much you loved the ending of the song. I love this so much. I am almost the same age as NF and I just love how he keeps growing but when he struggles or hits a snag it mirrors how I feel so much. I find myself going back to my traumatized past and I just love this song so much. I truly miss the day back then. Thanks again Tom!!!

The message of this song makes it feel like NF's version of Stressed Out by TOP, of course. NF actually referenced that song in the song, Know, from the Perception album, Idk if you've heard that particular song since I don't think it's part of the journey.

as a child we were allowed the luxury of Innocence depending on the adults around us who are protecting us and as adults and all through life even it really comes down to that the adults around us who either protect us or they don't have our back and abuse us. it becomes harder every time our perceptions are shattered due to what people around us cause thus we have a hard time trusting and only feel we can trust ourselves but eventually leads to even losing trust in ourselves and becoming paralyzed as NF says so aptly in his song s😢

I love how layered this song is. There's so much room for interpretation and words to latch your own understanding on to. On the surface level it's about going back to the childhood days, when life was easier. But, when you have traumas and burdens just as Nate and his target audience does, it's also about tracing back in your life to find the point, when your view on life changed. For Nate it is the question, when and why his mind started to work against him, at what point he became susceptible to self doubts? In face, everyone can answer this type of questions for themselves. That's the beauty of it and the song. Very powerful! Love your reaction as always. 😁

Crazy thing is you don't know when you cross that line. I'm a recovering addict(4 years sober) and used for 18 years but I can't tell you when I crossed the line. The part where he's talking about "gimme my mind back" and that entire verse is how I used to always feel. This one one of my fav nf songs. 1st reaction I've watched with you but nf is one of the best artist out right now as far as his content
