Wow, whenever I see a video on KZfaq longer than 30 minutes, I never ever watch but both Part 1 and Part 2 videos on Speaking on Life in both Panama and Costa had me intrigued. Thank you so much for sharing. I learned a lot and realized after watching these videos that it might be best for me to just do House Sitting Abroad instead of dealing with lawyers, realtors , house deeds and paying the seller 10% etc.

I’m white gay man living in the central pacific coast of Costa Rica for 24 years. The stories here and on eps. 1 apply also to gay people living here. I have never experienced homophobia from Ticos...only once from xstain expats. And I am so happy that it sounds like people of color are experiencing the same. Central American locals really don’t seem to care about skin color or who you love. 🥰

Thank you all for your honesty about prices for everything. I can't afford those kinds of surprises on utilities. I'm selling my belongings and my house in April. I am doing the tour with you guys and one with Panama Relocation Tours shortly thereafter. My plan is to stay in Panama for at least a month and then in Costa Rica for a Month. I'm leaning towards Panama though. I've been researching for the last 5 years. I am ready to make a serious change. Beach life sounds amazing! I am ready for peace and solace.

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I'v been contemplating moving outside the U.S. I'm 75 years an author of two books, retired and married for 40 years to my wife. I'm a disabled Vietnam War veteran who who has traveled to Costa Rica and Brazil. My wife is not interest in traveling and probably hates it. However I want to travel to Panama because it is geographically located for me to travel to many other countries on the planet. Thank you for creating this excellent content.😊

That's the program Melanin T was speaking about that will cover your medical treatment expenses. Also, fellow author here. I would love to exchange information about our books if you're interested.

I'm so glad that I came across this channel! I've been researching a place to move abroad to, and I haven't heard very many positive things about Costa Rica or Panama. You all have certainly changed my mind and made me reconsider both locations. I plan to relocate within the next 2 years with my daughter, who is in high school. She's worried about being able to adjust to life in another country, as well as being able to find friends. I'm glad that there are expat communities that I can hopefully reach out to and become a part of one day! Thanks for sharing such valuable information! May God continue to bless and keep you all!

Also, any thoughts about homes vs condos/apartments? My preference is not to do “community living”. Bad experience in states with smokers, noise, etc… Not sure if these are issues you’ve come across.

Thanks for your comment. - It's a "black" thing because this video is addressing questions coming from black people. In a perfect world it would be nice to be unconcerned about racial issues but unfortunately in today's world that is not yet the case. As a minority best to investigate any such issues and have ALL questions answers BEFORE making a move!

Because unfortunately, we (Americans) have been conditioned due to the treatment of our people, to HAVE to have to ask and inquire about things like race. I think the fact that this is something we get to eventually unlearn and "get to let down our hair" about, as Big Will in the video discussed .... Is the thing that is the most looked forward to for a lot of us looking to expat from the states. As a black woman, with a black husband and black kids ... I truly appreciate them doing this. It's a relief to have this type of representation and not have to FAAFO.
