@yuujinner5801
@yuujinner5801 3 жыл бұрын
@@leonardogrande6144 it makes sense, but not in the context of marine animals. No other marine seabird has had a radical coloring like that. Aboreal pterosaurs could have crazy coloring, but not marine, since having a weird coloring can let their prey know that they are coming, which is disadvantageous compared to the normal countershading that they possess. If some truly did had that color, it must be no more than a mutation, since I see no benefit to the creature.
@leonardogrande6144
@leonardogrande6144 3 жыл бұрын
@@yuujinner5801 countershading is very prominent, yes, and nature follows certain patterns when they work in general, but not that simple and limitated. See.. sharks, orcas, seagulls, they all have countershading, but in very differnt ways and some way more subtle than others. But why the two white spots of orcas over they eyes for instance then? That shoun't be there if the rules were as restrained as you say. Then we also have totally white dolphins.. which also should not be a thing if they wanted to camouflage. Also, let's keep in mind that pterosaurs don't have any living descendants, we know very little of their behaviour to assume that much. being unnoticed does't seem to be their way of doing things. And they wouldn't be the only sea animals in that. While most fish also tend to camouflage, we also have others on the opposite side, presenting all kind of colors, almost asking to get eaten, but there they are. Also some sea birds do have vibrant colors .. I woun't dare to assume pterosaurs could not be colorful for many reasons
@yuujinner5801
@yuujinner5801 3 жыл бұрын
@@leonardogrande6144 what seabirds have vibrant colors? I do not know of any. Also, since their anatomy is so similar to albatrosses, we can assume that they have had a similar lifestyle as well.

How come Arambourgiania doesn't receive any attention despite being the largest. I've only heard this name once and never again.

I know they are not Dinosaurs. I wish some of the smaller or even biggest of them were survived. We don't know how some pterosaurus looked, but I bet they were very beautiful and interesting animals to look at. Maybe seeing them relaxing in a zoo, I really want to pet a quetzalcoatlus or some kind of azhdarchidae.

Why were prehistoric animals so big? Was earth smaller and its gravity weaker back then; hence it allowed animals to be bigger? Did the asteroid(s) that hit earth and killed the dinosaurs added to earth's mass, which increased gravity and prevented subsequent animals from becoming as big as the dinosaurs? Any scientists ever explored this possibility?

There were no humans. that's mostly why. animals today don´t have enough land available, they are also hunted. they barely have the chance to keep existing

Prehistoric mammals were also large so it's not the asteroid. The Earth's oxygen levels have also been different throughout history, allowing growth. But over the millions of years of their existence, in many ways size was necessary in the evolutionary arms race of predator vs prey. And yes, humans played a factor, but animals were shrinking before humans as well, as a result of food supply changes and an overall lack of need to be huge.

But we don't actually know for certain why they got so large. We just have more theories as to why the super large creatures didn't endure

@@TheBertoSan No one knows for certain what occurred millions of years ago but we can make educated guesses (that's what scientists do). And our guesses can be pretty educated if we use the laws of Physics to calculate. As such, there are 2 things that don't add up concerning dinosaurs and today's earth gravity: 1) Some flying dinosaurs (Pterodactyl) were the size of today's Giraffe - too large and heavy to break earth's gravity. That is about the size of a Cessna 152, which requires 110 hp to fly. 2) The Brontosaurus's neck is too long for blood to be able to reach its head. To do so requires a heart the size of its chest, which its bone structure doesn't indicate so. And even if it's heart is that big, the sheer blood pressure produced would burst its veins (i.e. it would have a stroke). Because of that, some scientists had suggested Brontosaurus have 2 hearts - one in its chest and the other smaller one half way up its neck. But there is no bone structure evidence for such an organ there. The best explanation is that earth's gravity was less back then. And the reason why it's less was because earth was a little smaller back then. Millions of years of asteroid and meteor bombardment added to its mass, hence increased its gravity.

@@TheBertoSan If size was necessary in the evolutionary arms race then why didn't it affect the Size of whales, maco sharks, and other large sea creatures? Answer: because water buoyancy negated strong gravity. So, that is a clue that gravity has something to do with size of land animals.

Arambourgiania is only ever known from a single neck bone, so we cant really know for sure how big it is, or how it exactly looks like

Scleromochlus looks so different A lot of these look way better The originals not that there was enything wrong with them just these ones look even more realistic Also how come Iam starting to to ludodactylus all over the place now Also I really hope sum day I will be as good as you are with drawing dinosaurs I can draw accurate Dino's but I've always have trouble with shading,individual feathers and scales,and realistic shiney eyes And one more thing is the cynophamphus' jaw suppose to be like that or did you forgot to draw the inside of the mouth
