While we all enjoy the Christmas season, The snow, the lights, the gifts, Santa Claus, snowmen, we must NEVER FORGET what Christmas is truly all about! THE BIRTH OF GOD'S ONLY SON, JESUS CHRIST. Jesus Christ was born to a virgin named Mary, concieved not of a man's seed, but of the very Spirit of God himself. He was 30 years old when He began His Ministry. He preached about the Kingdom of God and converted sinners, much to the shagrin of the jewish scholars who had a very proud, holier than thou attitude. Jesus often refuted the jewish scholars of His time and publicly humiliated them by exposing their hypocrises. He performed many miracles by raising the dead, cleansing those with leprosy, giving sight to the blind, casting out demons and making the lame walk. The jewish scholars of his time hated Jesus and schemed to arrest and kill him. After giving Jesus Disciple Judas some money, he betrayed Jesus and handed Him to the jewish leaders. But Jesus knew all that was about to happen to Him. He willingly allowed himself to be crucified, for He knew it was by HIS BLOOD, that the sins of the Earth would be forgiven. In the Old Testament, animals were often sacrificed as atonement for sins. Jesus offered Himself as the ultimate sacrifice. By His Blood, the gates of Heaven are opened for us when we die. Without Jesus Christ, we are all doomed to hellfire when we die. Jesus Christ rose from the dead and appeared to His Disciples over a period of forty days. He was then taken up into Heaven and seated at the right hand of God. Two men in white appeared to His Disciples, telling them that Jesus would return in the same way He was taken up into Heaven. And that is the day Christians around the world have been waiting for. ONLY BY JESUS CHRIST can you enter through the gates of Heaven when you die. If you recieve Him as LORD and SAVIOR, your name will be written in the Book of Life and you will live forever!
