In regards to the Blue F150, I think it’s the slapping timing chains and cam phasers versus an exhaust leak.

Using cruise control on an icy/ snowy or slushy road service is a recipe for a crash. I've been there, done that, rode the bull and got the horn. LOL

They should never use cruise control in icy conditions ....when the car drops in speed and the cruise control kicks in while on ice , snow , slush its not a nice surprise . Great job getting the van , they are so useful . I miss the mini vans I had .

Those sienna s are known to cook trans and a used trans is like 3 grand plus install

Nice score. If that has the 3.5 V-6. Make sure to change both oil cooler hoses with the upgraded metal ones and timing belt. An awd mini van is extremely versatile.

We own a 06 Toyota Sienna and it's a blast to drive. Ours have 220k miles and needs some TLC mechanically. But keeps on chugging.

As a Massachusetts driver, I have to agree with your assessment of my fellow drivers and their lack of being able to maintain a cruising speed. And the ones that do use cruise control don’t know how to pass properly, especially tractor trailers. That said, great buy on the Sienna!

Wow, I am impressed that was your first time visiting that auction on James Brown Dr. They have been at that location since the 90s. Vermont is small and there isn’t much here. I too am a true Vermonter born and raised. I am 40 minutes north of Williston in St Albans. Love your channel and love to see what you do with the pickup once the manual transmission comes back.

All my vehicles I have gotten from NYS surplus auctions. Most recent purchase "over a year ago" was a 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500hd with 36,000 miles for $1,500 with a plow as well.

Not from Massachusetts. But, here in my area of Connecticut it is impossible to use cruise control due to the traffic.

Folks saying the prices are low need to keep in mind that rust is usually the reason the older cars are at auction. Vermont fails anything with holes in the exterior or chassis. Add a little bit of Vermont salted roads to any older car and you turn good cars into parts cars quite quickly. Vt also fails repaired/welded up frames so there is no repairing these cars if you don’t have a good buddy to let it slide come yearly inspection time. Now if you live in upstate NY, these rust rockets can be a steal. IF they have transferable titles. Vt doesn’t title older cars so you aren’t going to get those VT cars registered in NY.

I bought a wrecked 2008 sienna AWD same color last fall… I was exited about it being awd like you are and others are not understanding why😅 happy to see Im not the only one to find those nice! Cant wait to start fixing mine, its gonna be my pickup , it has the 2 inch hitch and air ballons in the rear suspension. Great buy!

Aftermarket radios look like shit, but some of us value sound quality. One of my friends has an 09 Cobalt that he completely redid the sound system in. He's had that car for ~7 years now. The trans had to be replaced because the previous owner never changed the fluid (he bought it at ~100k, it's at 160-170 now), but the only abuse that car had was from being a magnet for accidents. It's been hit at least 4 times, one of which pushed it into another car, and some kids dented the trunk from chucking a water balloon at it from the top of a 20 story apartment building. Also recently some other kids vandalized it.

Dont let the VSC scare you, it comes on with the check engine light when the car has an emissions issue (o2, cats, etc.). All Toyotas and Lexus' do that. Great buy, love your videos.

The Ranger & F150 went super cheap wow!!!! You couldn't touch either those around here for less then 5k with those low miles I'm a Ford truck guy I know those in & out cool Auction wish it was closer to me

Positive I’ve been to that auto auction up in northern vt. I’m from southern vt. Bought a few good ones and 2 manual Subarus with bad trannys. Just beware lol. Hope it’s a good purchase!

Siennas are THE minivan to have. Look up the Journeys Off Road lift kit for those. The ones with leather are plush!

I like the 2nd gen Siennas, I drove one with the 3.5 a while ago and it was QUICK. The red odyssey looked nice too. 2nd gen Siennas, and 3rd and 4th gen Odysseys are my favorite minivans.

MA driver, here. I'm one of the rare "motorists" who always uses the Cruise. I can't stand it when other drivers go faster, slower, faster, slower, .... And they love to speed up as I'm about to pass them. All of s a sudden they want to go to 75mph when they see me passing them in the passing lane!

Those Siennas are solid! If it has the 3.3 V6 then just make sure the timing belt is up to date.

That's a killer deal as long as there isn't too much rust. Interestingly optioned LE since it's AWD but with no sunroof, cloth, and the JBL sound system. The 3MZ-FE is a dead reliable motor as long as the TB/WP is done.

The VSC and check engine light is probably a loose hose over by the air cleaner. The hose pops off when people change or check the air filter.

Boy you aren't wrong about the Massholes, I live in Concord NH, headed up to the White Mountains yesterday, cruise set at 75, and played pass, unpass, with some Mass choad for 60 miles. At times they would drop back out of sight and pass me going 90, only to slow way down miles ahead
