Dr White completely covers this starting from 34 minutes 48 seconds, talking of the Paraclete, then of the Comforter at 36:43 then the Spirit of Truth who dwells WITH THEM and will later dwell IN THEM - 37:37 - all the way to 41:39. It is true that Raymond Brown leaves the word untranslated in his rendition of the Biblical text. However, it is NOT true that he calls translating the word as "Comforter", "Counselor", or "Advocate" inaccurate. He confirms the validity of those translations, but states that the range of meaning is broader than any of those words can represent and therefore leaves it as Paraclete after having explained the meaning. However, "Prophet" is not among the possible translations suggested by Brown. I am sure Shabir Ally would have told us, if it were so. We tell you that it is not so. On whose authority among those many "noted Biblical scholars" is Shabir Ally going to base his own suggestion that parakletos means prophet? He will not find one. If Shabir Ally has indeed consulted several noted Biblical scholars as he seems to claim in his statement, and sought to understand their commentary on the term parakletos, why does he then go on to contradict all of them by choosing a translation not supported by any of them? Also, if Jesus said that he will ask the father and he will send another one to testify of him and that he will be with you forever, and that he dwells in you (mind you, he was speaking to the disciples directly) how does this refer to a man who comes 600 years after? No, it simply doesn’t make sense. Jesus had to be talking about the Holy Spirit. He was talking directly to the disciples and was not talking about a man who comes later. “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another [e]Helper, that He may abide with you forever- 17the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”

Shabir Ally (my favorite stand-up comedian) seems to do this more than anyone else... At least Dr. White aknowledges that Erhman and his arguments (from the position of atheist presuppositions) are exactly as 'effective' against Islam as they are Christianity. That's why he not only refuses to use them against Muslims in debate, but refutes their selective use by Muslims against Christianity (and that's why it's germane to have mentioned that not only doesn't he quote him in theistic discussions, but that he *debated* him on these very issues). BTW, Dr. White is ~always~ polite and deferential in these debates; even when his Muslim opponents interrupt/deflect/talk over him through both cross-exams (as we ALL have seen, over and over!). @Society of Light John 16:13 was so important point because according to muslims the comforter is Muhammed (pbuh).. and for christians the comforter is the holly spirit that's why zakir asked his question multiple times to Dr white to explain how the holly spirit is being taught what to say (if the comforter is really the holly spirit).... the question was so relevent with the topic and it has nothing to do with trinity. yes i do understand there were many issues , but Dr white was able to answer that one in one or some sentences instead of saying God loves me wich had nothing to do with the question . if you notice , Zakir has answered all the points raised by Dr white , he gave even proves and references of his answers .

It is well documented what I said above. It is also well documented that the Jewish body practiced paganism. So I am not surprised if I go by your opinion that Jesus was seen as God by Paul and those gospel writers, especially John that emphasized that in his gospel since paganism of the helenistic world bolds with so many forms of paganism the Jewish people practiced for example after they saw pharaoh and his army perished. Remember the Jews built a Yahweh for themselves as golden calf? I can say without mincing word that each time they refuse to follow prophet AS of God, that itself was idolatry. Are 3 Gods hurdles up in Trinity better or as God as when 1 God is what everyone used to know and completed Islam stands on this without ascribing neither family nor partner to Him? When you broke up Trinity to it's parts, did the God not the Master of both holy ghost and Jesus that were messengers and servants, even to the point the holy ghost is the one helping/supporting Jesus?
