And been on a public housing waitlist for 10 years. How many were added while she knew she couldn't afford to support her existing children? It seems irresponsible to me to be having more children when she can't provide for the ones she has...

I'd rather that than importing more people. You're not considering the idea that those children will grow up to have lives and pay taxes and help keep everything moving along. This woman is doing the country a great and selfless thing by having several children to build our existing population base, and I'm happy that my taxes go out to help women and children like this.

she would receive heaps from Centrelink Family Assist payments. 7 kids works out around $3000 per fortnight plus rent assistance.

my neighbour from the middle east with 3 kids only had to wait 2 years for a 4 bedroom townhouse.

This is absolutely devastating and so important, thank you 🙏🏼 Australia has one of the lowest investments in public housing internationally. It’s in need of and time for crucial investment and radical change 🔥🌞✊🏽🫀⚡️

It is such a shame, the story is not unique. I am currently facing a very similar situation myself after suffering, health issues and having to look after my mother who suffers with diabetes and other ailments I have been left in an apartment that is literally falling apart after trying to get help multiple times raising multiple complaints with still no major work being done any work that have been done have been minor and has been bad job done to say the least

When governments don't consider shelter/housing an essential service and infrastructure, when housing is allowed to become a tax dodge and best investment in the country what do you expect. The poor, including working poor can live on the streets or cars for all modern society cares!

Please u need a caseworker please go to a refuge and explain your situation immediately please mould is so serious and there are case workers he will bend over backwards for you (in Sydney)

Why can't she have children? They will grow up to work and have lives and pay taxes...all of that from one woman in this country is a great achievement.

I’m very surprised she’s not given a place immediately. Or if she took the kids to a refuge that will quicken her time to get a house…. Please ring women’s homelessness services they will help u especially with kids….. YWCA is great I used them. I couldn’t believe it with there help I was on the list for only 6 months before I got my place for my son and I. Previously without their help I tried to do it alone and I didn’t even get accepted onto priority and ended up giving up
