Amazing. Asmik's performance at the Met yesterday - May 1, 2024 - was probably among the most opera memorable for me. And we met her after the performance. What a delightful personality, humble and joyful. BRAVA!

That is what I've been feeling but sadly I am Portuguese and I cannot describe it as lovely as you can with that lovely Italian language. If aliens come I will die to try and make Italian survive. I saw Asmik perform the role at the Royal Opera House Stockholm, the complete performance - I would have gladly paid just for her acting. She would make the perfect Floria Tosca.

Breathtaking. I suspect that, if Giacomo could see and hear Asmik, the maestro may have used that term. With famous arias, one tends to close one's eyes, yet this lady's open eyes seem directy connected to her heart. That sets Asmik apart, in my opinion. Breathtaking.

One of Asmik's signature role, suits wonderful for her amazing voice and stage pressence. Will be essencial for her 2023/2024 Season. Asmik will sing Cio-Cio-San in Verona, London, Berlin and New York. For sure will attend some of this performances, specially at the Met (Debut) and Berlin!

the best houses in the world ! and Im happy for every singer who makes it there...but still- that a lyric soprano sings there Butterfly means the most of decision-makers of today have no clue about voices, including the conductors. actually, there is no doubt A.G. is a special type and a beautiful woman and a great actress, but she is just no spinto and really not even close to a dramatic voice.

Nice and slow tempo with a chance to savor the nuances of the text. She is extremely savvy about bringing out reserves of power for the "spinto" moments. Utilizing the muscles low in the body to do the work so that the throat can stay relaxed. Great artistry achieved thoughtfully

This is the perfect voice for Madam Butterfly.As for the comment about the dress ,she is in concert where singers can wear whatever they chose.She would be in costume if this was a live performance of the full opera.

She's not bad exactly, but I am perplexed reading all the excited comments. Technically she sounds allright, but I feel this role is not for her. She is probably better suited for Verdi rather than Puccini (I am guessing, I really don't know).

Una ragazza giovane non canterebbe mai in questo modo. E questo fatto cambia tutto. Dov’è la vocalità giovanile di una ragazzina che ha 15 anni netti , netti ?! Impostazione della voce poco adatta al personaggio. Anche una ragazza che ha 15 anni può avere una voce bellissima, Metavigliosa ma il modo di proiettare la voce e i sentimenti sarebbe molto diverso, so benissimo di che cosa sto parlando lo avevo vissuto già tantissimi anni fa … il vecchio
