We had one of these twin carbs puch 250 in our juniors cross club when I was a kid, no one dared to ride it 😆to powerful they said , wonder where that bike is today, it spend most of its time just as a display along with a green 175 puch cross bike , this was back in the late 1970s,

Hey John. My dad worked for Puch's Moped division in the late 70's. He raced in Southern California at the time. Anyhow, he was at the Puch warehouse and found one of the 90 or so bikes that Puch built in a crate. He had it shipped home to SoCal and raced it for half a season. Many of the pro's that raced at Indian Dunes wanted to take it for a spin on the track! Haugh, Zhart, Hansen, etc... Dad was also the suspension guy for Kehoe when he was racing his new YZ80. Damn talk about trip down memory lane!

Never heard of them, the tank looked like yamaha colours, never seen a bike where the inlet ran down to the bottom of the barrell, abit like a gm 2 stroke diesel engine inlet where they suck air in from the bottom, the last one was a good looking bike. Thanks John.

Those Puch hubs look suspiciously like Greeves Griffon, front and rear, even down to the sprocket mounting, I know they're not, man they had a good look at em I reckon, maybe that's why it wouldn't stop.
