In 1948 Puerto Vallarta was known as "Puerto Las Peñas". It was a quiet Pueblo with a small population.
In 1948 Mr. Salvador Gonzalez, built the first Hotel in Puerto Vallarta the Hotel Rosita. A ten minute walk will lead you to the main church and Puerto Vallarta's market place. Hotel Rosita is considered the most traditional hotel in Puerto Vallarta and considered a jewel due to its typical mexican architecture.
In 1962 John Houston, Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Eva Gardner and their filming crew ("Night of the Iguana") stayed at the Hotel Rosita. It offers the ambience and hospitality of how life was once enjoyed in Puerto Vallarta.

1968 first visited PV and stayed at Hotel Rosita..Oceana Hotel bar where we dined.. great music on video

My mom was born in a small town near puerto Vallarta back in 46, such a beautiful place oh and the most gorgeous girls I ever seen.

This is the Vallarta Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton moved to. Ive been many many times I stayed at their former home on Calle Zaragoza. It's changed now and I love it so much but I would like to have seen it then too. wasn't born until 1959. Thanks for sharing

"I" personally"! don't like "El Buky", but the images from PV are amaising, Thank's to whom get them online.. I loved PV before it got what it is now... I dicovered PV in 1980,when it was still a small "town"... Enjoyed it a lot, by this time.. NOT ANYMORE... But I'm still living close to ...

I think its one of the E worst resort towns ever. Neither US nor Mexico just a soulless tourist format for anyone who doesn’t care either way. Avoid at all costs avoid!

Vídeo excelente!! La música........NO. El vídeo es de mucha más altura, informativo e interesante. La música se quedó demasiado corta. En su lugar, según mi humilde opinión, hubiese sido perfecto un fondo de Jazz o música instrumental.
