Hi friends, happy Thursday!
Welcome to the Dark History podcast. What accounts for more arrests than ALL violent crimes combined? Need a hint? Well it is also a multi-billion dollar, totally legal industry? And not that this narrows it down, but it has a past that’s riddled with racism, greed, and shady dealings. Today we are talking all about the Dark History of Cannabis. And ooo let me tell you it is a STORY. So grab your munchie snacks and settle in.
I appreciate you for coming by, and tune in next week for more dark history.
You can find Dark History podcast on Apple, Spotify, wherever you listen to your podcasts, and every Thursday here on my KZfaq for the visual side of things.

Don't worry there's a lot of advocates already fighting for us. They have already released a bunch of people that were in jail for Marijuana related charges. Here in Florida they also expunged records for those with Felony marijuana charges. There's been a lot of positive changes and it is continuing to get better. In my opinion, with all the inside info I have I believe it will become Federally legal in the U.S. within the next couple of years.

I’m from PA and it’s legal for medical use. You just have to get a doctors approval (and get your medical marijuana card). @Lolly Lolly Sometimes CBD does nothing for chronic pain. Both myself and a friend who had severe chronic pain (his was from years of boxing, then being a boxing coach) its the THC that helps. If the idea makes you nervous, just start with a low THC content, and work your way up.

Though cannabis doesn’t effect me well and gives me a lot of anxiety, i rub THC lotion on my patients who have ALS; it helps their pain and stiffness almost immediately! Also has helped a lot of our patients control their seizures and the side effects! I think it’s important to note that it can definitely have some negative side effects but what doesn’t! I think it’s super important for medicine. Thank you for making this video
@sydposting
@sydposting 2 жыл бұрын
There’s been a ton of research in the past few years picking apart all the different cannabinoids present in the cannabis plant overall, and how each affects a slightly different body-system. There’s been some fantastic advances on how to apply a proper balance/mix of them to relieve things like joint inflammation or bowel inflammation, since neither are caused by the same thing, but can be treated with the same chemical process. OP, I’m sure that what you experienced and/or what you’re using on your patients is a concentrated cream of “pure” THC that interacts with their nervous system in a different way than how you have likely experienced THC. Regardless, you’re an amazing person for taking the needs of your patients seriously and keeping up with current medicine instead of reading FDA scare-mongering. I’ve worked in healthcare for 5+ years and still cannot believe the amount of judgment there is in insurance and regulations… 😔

I also have fibromyalgia and am currently in the process of applying for a card that SHOULD protect me from prosecution in the UK. Here, the only way to legally access cannabis is via private prescription which is expensive and unfeasible for most people, especially those who are unable to work due to their disabilities who are the ones that need it the most. Of course, most people here have at least tried it, and many regularly use it, but there doesn’t seem to be as much of a push for the legalisation here as there appears to be across America. Who knows, maybe one day that will change, but as it currently stands the UK is in no rush to consider legalising 🙁
