Puig Windshield Test On Triumph Trident 660

If you remember, after my wife's first trip on her motorcycle, she asked me to get her a screen for the next trip.
After some market searching, she chose the Puig screen in the smoked option.
Very easy to install and great quality.
Doesn´t look all that bad IMO, and it does do a great job at deflecting wind away from your chest, and I'm sure it will make a huge diference on our next trip!
Just don´t forget to take a scarf along! Watch the video to find out why :)

nice video John concise and to the point. I too have a Chrystal white Trident 660 though i have the factory fly screen on mine, more for style than protection

Having wind constantly on your chest makes your arms tired. Having a fresh breeze in your helmet is also a benefit 👌 too. It looks like it's doing a good job of both.

Yeah. Its a great compromise. It does however make a bit of helmet noise...

depends, I have a similar Puig screen on my Triumph Street Twin and it make a good job eliminating the wind on my chest but the wind buffeting onto my helmet is worse than I expected.

Fantastic! My wife says it's staying on. 😀 As you can see on the video, It does make a little wind noise though. But the trade off is great. 👌😎

I owned a Trident for a while and now own a Livewire One. I'm looking for a screen that aesthetic and above all effective at motorway speeds. I like the look of your screen and will see if I can fit it on my bike. cheers

Bottom hole is 220mm and top hole is 205mm

As far as I understood from your observations the wind noise increased when you mounted the wind screen. That means that the airflow is not nice and linear around your helmet anymore but turbulent. At higher speeds a turbulent airflow can make your helmet vibrate. Some will prefer the naked bike keeping their helmet in a clean airflow. New riders should find their advice elsewhere.

Did you ever get that strange delayed throttle response sorted out? Was it the 1st service or something to do with the A2 setup?

Hi there. No i didn't. Service said it was normal... i think its BS. But I'm yet to try another bike. Does yours have the same kind of delay? It may be an A2 thing... I'm not even sure its adjustable to be honest... I'll have to ask on the FB owners page...

@@John_Neves I don't own a trident, I'm researching cos I'm interested in the upcoming tiger sport 660. I'm not sure if that throttle response really matters in the real world or if it feels horrible.

@@mickleblade i hate it. It feels like those really old carb bikes, that you'd accelerate and they would take for ever to rev 😁 Of course it's not that bad, and it shouldn't be a turn off, because you get used to it. As i have other bikes, this one just always feels odd when i first get on her. Just doesn't feel compliant. 👍

@@John_Nevesthe delay in the throttle is kind of weird I’m used to having a instant response, but I guess I have to get used to it. Sad that tridents are like that 😢

Very good video for me，I am considering to install this windshield too. I having one concern was do any vibrate or shaking during high speed (up to 140km/h) I am trident 660 owner from Malaysia 😁

@@colorbugs this is my wife's bike, she is 1.72, and she loves the protection. So i guess it will be even better for you. Unfortunately i do not sell this product. I just do independent reviews. But PUIG ships worldwide, so i guess you should find a seller in Thailand 😉 Sorry i can't help more.
