Pulled The Engine Out Of My 1993 S10 Blazer

I could have probably had the machine shop fix the original crank but I looked at the time it would take to get it back plus the search for over sized bearings and decided its not that expensive to just buy a new crank and I had it in 3 days

Heck yeah man can't wait to see more , this motivates me I need to do my engine swap on my 85 S10 . Used to be a 2.5 and it blew up so I swapped to a 2.8 carb cause it was cheap and came with everything to make it driveable but little did I know engine was bad on bottom end it makes this rattle noise when up to temp lile main bearings it's a long story but now 4 years later still my daily but it's getting worse and I have another 2.8 tbi on engine stand waiting to be swapped in I had from a 92 pickup I scraped. Once that engine goes then I guess it will get the 350v8 swap or something but not LS lol

If its a 2wd I heard the 2.8 in a 2wd runs good and gets good milage. I wonder that your noise is if it only does it warm thats weird. I had an 87 blazer with a 2.8 and the bottom end made noise to but I drove it 6 years then sold it it eventually blew on though but they abused it

Yeah it's 2wd and funny thing is whenever I drove the truck that is actually identical twin to mine before the guy pulled the drivetrain for me there was no noise at all now he already had it running when I showed up because it was cold that morning but I never heard the noise that it makes now which I don't understand what changed or happened because only thing I did was do gaskets and seals and a new oil pan and that's it and as soon as I put it in the truck without the transmission to make sure the engine was good because I was skeptical it started making the noise some people said it was flywheel and once the transmission was put in it would stop but it never did and once I got that far I was not pulling it back apart I needed the truck

I'm pretty much running 20W50 with Lucas and a Wix oil filter in order to keep it together lol that's the only thing that has helped because the oil pressure goes way down whenever it warmed up and in the video to this link I was running 10w30 and once it got warm the oil pressure got really low

Also wouldn't mind finding me a blazer like you have just something about s10s and the blazer versions can't get enough lol . My girl has a 93 4.3 4×4 same as yours but white that I'm trying to fix for her tryed to take hers but she's like nope haha

Haha that's funny I like driving first gen s10s I think they are comfortable and they fit anywhere and haul Lot of stuff

@@SethsBudgetBuilds I definitely agree and I see so many at the junkyard it is really sad because a lot of them had potential or could have been used still but people give up

When you remove the motor did you unbolt it from the bellhousing. How exactly did you do that.

Yeah I unbolted it with the trans still in I had to take the transmission cross member down and out to lower the transmission enough to reach the top bolts with a really long extension and swivel its a pain but doable
