When I feel lazy I just watch his channel and off I go to work on my property at full steam. I absolutely love the fact that he is modest and has great sense of humor, instead of cursing or complaining about difficulties. He inspired me to get myself a 1-ton truck and an old Case D310G track loader and my property is also now changing for the better, many thanks to him. Unbelievably crafty and practical guy, thanks for posting (and making) those high quality and detailed videos, very helpful! Greetings from WA state!

That's not usually how KZfaqrs work. They edit and upload the videos ahead of time (often days ahead of time) and then schedule a time for the video to go public automatically. Weekends are the top viewership window. KZfaqrs typically release videos at predetermined times with the goal to obtain the most views. If you are thinking AC is sitting there uploading this video at the time it went public, you're probably wrong. AC might be humble, but he isn't stupid.

Hey Andrew with the on board CTIS (central tire inflation system) you can choose mud/snow and the tires will deflate to like 12-10 PSI. There’s also emergency mode which is even lower but in that mode you will have to inflate on your own a bit before the CTIS will take over to re-inflate. Then to put in 4x4 you push Mode button on trans selector switch where the red indicator comes on. Then you must hit the down selector to 1. This vehicle is made to start forward in second gear. Most people don’t even know this in the military. I’ve gotten out of situation where vehicle is stuck up to the doors. The operator’s manual is two books each a dictionary thick. I operated/supervised a battalion sized maintenance and recovery unit.

I had a 9 yard Sandvik remote controlled scoop tram run away from me while mucking a stope at the Kidd Creek Mine in Timmins Canada a decade ago. It took-off as I was remotely returning to the remote operator's stand with a loaded bucket of copper ore, where the operator stops the scoop tram and climbs into the cab and hauls the load to the ore pass (dump hole). Anyways though I turned-off the remote control master switch, the scoop tram kept on accelerating till it hit the rib (wall) and finally stopping. The company was going to fire me as they found nothing wrong with the scoop tram nor the remote control system, But a fellow operator came forward to the company and stated that a similar instance happened to him with that particular scoop tram and that scoop tram was put on a flatbed and sent to Sudbury Ontario to be rewired and thoroughly inspected!...I didn't get fired, Thanks Mike Simmons, you saved me! I never trusted any mechanical OR electronic machinery after that incident!

Add a couple (or more) of 6"-8" pulley wheels, with hooks, to the tool assortment on all those vehicles, also on the dozer tow cable, they will prove invaluable when changing the direction of pull using nearby trees.

I'm surprised AC has not made a magnetic camera mount so you can stick the camera on various equipment and free up both hands to operate the controls. Use a MagSwitch or a switchable magnetic indicator base and a short articulating arm and stick a GoPro mount on the end.

For your uphill road you should plan a few parking bays, where you could leave the one or other dozer (since you have so many), so you would not need to drive the whole way up and down, if you would need it. This big dozer´s cable winch is simply incredible! So powerful. Thanks a lot for your vid!

Andrew, for such conditions you need to lower that tire pressure down on your truck. It wouldn't go all the way up hill but it'll be definitely more capable.
@roderickmacgregor4867
@roderickmacgregor4867 2 жыл бұрын
Agreed drop the pressure a few PSI to about 15 then it will be more capable and get some decent grip on the tyres, it still wont go all way up but will be able to cope a bit better you could also get a decent winch fitted to the truck for self recovery ….

This reminds me of a time when two buddies of mine and I went on "field maneuvers" ....it was on bright green pristine grass on a hill and it had been raining quite a bit. The grass was practically like ice it was so slippery. So we had a 60's Dodge power wagon, my '53 Chevy 3/4 ton, and a mid 50's Jeepster 2WD with a winch. We had 2 add'l towing chains. We were hopelessly stuck, but eventually got out with the power wagon in the lead towing one truck and the other all in a line. It was grand fun, but we thought we'd never get out of there.

I enjoyed working of projects in the woods. I worked slong side Doug Newton. He had "the gift of go" much like you have. He would most often opt to fabricate replacement parts. Most of the machines we had were older than me. Getting the objective done was only part of the satisfaction. Getting the old Oliver going and later the Cat 8 with a pony motor was always fun. We blasted a "road" up to the top of Bald Sunnipee, the second highest peak within sight. We had stones the size of school buses 🚌 to work through.
