This is your first time riding for Osprey that I know of? That’s awesome pulp isn’t even really my cup of tea but I like your work so I picked it up

Today I put it in my shopping cart, no questions asked, based on the theme+publisher alone. Then I realized I never buy a game without researching it first. Then when I saw the author was Marco Arnaudo, I was stunned and all my worries were at ease. Congratulations and well done! Finally, I have my excuse to collect pulp adventure minis.

Congratulations Marco! I bought this and I think it shows that it is written by a designer that exercises his finely-honed taste to both set up a baseline interesting gaming experience and suggest sensible approaches to fine-tune and/or extend it. Also kudos for keeping this trim with no unnecessary roster lists (Osprey has yet to solve the problem of laying these out in a useful way). I'm looking forward to see how you'll go about designing the automaton.

Oh wow! I saw an interview about these rules in one of the mags (WI? MW?) and really liked the sound of it, so I let my wife know and I am hoping to get it on Christmas Day. I really liked the idea that a model which "fails" still gets to do some basic action. And I'm now painting up some Pulp Figures models which have been in my lead pile for ages. But who knew that Marco Arnaudo was the much more famous Marco Omnigamer? Looking forward to it even more now.

This is hands down the best "Swiss army knife" i know if you want to play a narrative skirmish rpg in any possible setting. Not as polished as ".45 adventures" when it comes to balancing and explaining the rules but way more fluid in gameplay and the "special benefits" and "roleplaying aspects" are just marvelous! Only downside to me is the fact that there is no points system for creating your characters... It would have helped to prevent accidently "power-gaming" but to be fair: there are guidelines to help you keep it balanced... there is sadly still room for "errors". A reference sheet at the end would've also helped a lot cause some stuff is a bit "burried" in the well written explanations. Nonetheless... This is the best book to have if you want a fun experience without lots of rules! Worth every penny! Should be more talked about... More reviews, more battle reports. A hidden gem.
