Such a confusing video ay

Never is a long time, but I think what is behind Phil's perspective is that over time the rental value of land will increase. Thus, maintaining ownership of property ensures an ongoing increasing income, either from just owning land and leasing it to a business or constructing a building and thereby generating revenue from land rent plus the leasing of the building (which is a capital good). Of course, if an entire part of a city is in distress for years or decades, land values may fall and stay very low for a long time, until demand returns.

@@NathanEllery As I heard him, he is explaining that his personal decision is not to speculate in land. He recognizes this can be a very profitable activity but one that has a negative impact on communities.

@@nthperson Ok so not to hold a non income producing asset for long term gain. That does make sense and I would think in line with what I know of his other views. Thanks
